what mod makes it so that you have to buy perks in order, i grabbed a collection and id like to remove whatever mod causes this. i think its an rpg overhaul mod. if it isnt, sorry for bothering you
bstar  [author] 5 Dec, 2023 @ 5:58am
Yes, tthat's a good point. Unfortunately, the method this mod uses is a bit crude, but at the time of its making, there was no other way (and afaik there still isn't).

If you're using specs not supported by this mod, you need to re-add them yourself.
Sest 4 Dec, 2023 @ 4:30pm
I don't think a lot of people do this, but if you create whole new specs by putting together different abilities from various classes including enemies, this new spec will not show up due to this mod.
This mod only sorts the ones it recognizes.

I know this may be too late but i seen a pistolier class in the richards pack
Nero 11 Mar, 2023 @ 1:19am
can someone help me which rpgo plugin is pistoler from?
Dragon32 17 Oct, 2022 @ 10:24am
@Laserbelly
Yes. That's what the Required Items list on a Workshop page is for
Diego 17 Oct, 2022 @ 7:32am
I asume 😖 this mod requires Musashi’s foundation mod RPGO ?
Bastion 12 Aug, 2022 @ 5:55am
I just messaged iridar regarding that mod, in the original version you need to get denmother to captain before unlocking keeper class, so just asked if its the same with the RPGO keeper.
Dragon32 11 Aug, 2022 @ 4:46pm
@Bastion
But this mod just changes the order that Specialisations are displayed in. If the Specialisation's not showing then that Specialisation mod is where the problem is.
Bastion 11 Aug, 2022 @ 4:23pm
i tried that and it stitll didnt pop up
Dragon32 11 Aug, 2022 @ 3:20pm
@Bastion
Looks like just edit this mod's XComRPG.ini
Bastion 11 Aug, 2022 @ 1:41pm
is there a way to add other classes to this like keepper/logistician by iridar?
Vegeta002 2 May, 2022 @ 7:19am
How do you prevent specialisations from showing up in the perk list?

I've commented-out several in the config files, but the game keeps showing them.
psilynt1 19 Feb, 2022 @ 3:57pm
For those who are having the same problem with Grimy Specs not being in the right order, after finding the file and lines that bstar [author] mentioned in his last post, replace them with the following (taken from the NPO config):

+Specializations=(Order=920, TemplateName=Anarchist, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=1065, TemplateName=Mastermind, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=35, TemplateName=Bruiser, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=1115, TemplateName=Escort, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=1260, TemplateName=Fury, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=1270, TemplateName=Nemesis, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=415, TemplateName=HeadHunter, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=635, TemplateName=Thug, bEnabled=true)

@bstar
Oh don't worry I managed to fix it with the order changes in Grimy Specs. NPO is the most recently subscribed mod in my list, and every other specialization mod orders correctly, that's why I thought I'd bother to mention it here seeing as it's the only wonky one for me.
bstar  [author] 6 Feb, 2021 @ 10:00am
@PreConcepter This is likely a load order issue where the Grimy plugin is loaded after this mod. Unfortunately, config file load order can not be directly controlled by mod authors. What you could do instead, is to delete or comment out (using a semicolon at the beginning of the line) the lines that add the specs in the Grimy plugin. These look like this:

+Specializations=(Order=51, TemplateName=Anarchist, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=81, TemplateName=Mastermind, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=11, TemplateName=Bruiser, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=111, TemplateName=Escort, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=41, TemplateName=Fury, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=42, TemplateName=Nemesis, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=61, TemplateName=HeadHunter, bEnabled=true)
+Specializations=(Order=62, TemplateName=Thug, bEnabled=true)

You can find them in the Grimy plugin's config folder in the file XComRPG.ini
PreConceptor 6 Feb, 2021 @ 12:43am
Looks like Grimy's Classes Specializations aren't being correctly sorted and are using their default sort numbers, I tried changing the sort numbers in the Grimy Specs to match their numbers in NPO and that seems to fix it (if that's helpful).

@Rtma Eros Paragon
Get a grep tool, like Textcrawler, and use that to search the .ini files in your XCOM 2 Workshop folder for the string "hold the line", if it's not in the .ini files try .int
Or look through the Workshop pages of the specialisation mods you're subscribed to for this Pioneer class.
Rtma Eros Paragon 2 Jan, 2021 @ 4:06am
@Dragon32
Because I don't know where to find it, what to do, I've tried looking for it and this is the closest, perk class.
Dragon32 2 Jan, 2021 @ 3:40am
@Rtma Eros Paragon
Why did you post here? This mod won't have added that ability.

Find the RPGO Specialisation which adds that ability and post in its Discussion thread. That's much more likely to lead to help than randomly scattering posts.
Rtma Eros Paragon 2 Jan, 2021 @ 3:13am
I am asking for help, I don't know what to do or how to fix it, I recently reinstalled XCom 2 due to frequent crashes now I discover this.
Rtma Eros Paragon 2 Jan, 2021 @ 2:42am
Hello, I'm experiencing a bug with Pioneers hold the line not showing any radius on it's use or doing anything when active, has their been any changes? Screen shot here
bstar  [author] 22 Jul, 2020 @ 5:24am
Hey Dragon, nice catch. Thanks for letting me know. Will fix that asap.
Dragon32 22 Jul, 2020 @ 5:20am
Hey bstar, thanks for the mod!

This line is missing its closing parenthesis, causing a redscreen error.

+Specializations=(Order=620, TemplateName=Samurai

No idea if that will cause a problem in game.
Derejin 24 Nov, 2019 @ 8:46am
Thanks for the re-ordering for the new Immolater+Chemthrower mod!
AcidLite 24 Oct, 2019 @ 4:44am
I have everything except flight and fight? Anyone know where I can get those?
Deesthetics 9 Aug, 2019 @ 1:41pm
@N.C.V. lemme know if that works because i want to use that mod as well with this mod.
N.C.V. 18 Jul, 2019 @ 6:50pm
Added them manually, gonna check if they work in a new playthrough. Just put them at the end and didn't change their numbers since they're in the 3000s.
bstar  [author] 18 Jul, 2019 @ 6:50pm
Yeah, it most likely overrides it - unless you add the specializations manually.
N.C.V. 18 Jul, 2019 @ 3:55pm
New RPGO plugin. If we use it with this mod does this mod override it until that mod is added to be compatible with TNPO?

If that doesn't help, please provide an EXACT description of your bug (which spec are shown, which aren't etc.), ideally with screenshots and in the correct thread: Bug Reports.
Milf-Hunter 17 Jun, 2019 @ 7:46am
specializations arent in right order... alot (like 90%) specs arent shown in the ui .. not sure if its with this mod ... hapened after latest Musashi overhhault. Ive done usual stuff like cashe verify and even Mod Launcher... my gues its load order related... ever heard of such a bug ? what can i do plx heluuuup
bstar  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 6:29am
Zlayer 17 Apr, 2019 @ 6:28am
which one is it?
i was using the RebuildSelectedSoldiersClass
bstar  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 5:33am
It doesn't change the squaddie perks if you use the correct argument in the command...
Zlayer 17 Apr, 2019 @ 5:23am
i dont like to use that command since it also change the squaddie perks and give you stats points.
So for now I will live with the wrong order since its only grim order the one that wrong but thanks will do so if I start a new campaign
bstar  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 5:13am
Well, the perks are set at soldier creation/promotion so changing the configs won't affect the perks on existing soldiers. You can use the RPGO console commands and rebuild them. That should update the perk & spec order.
Zlayer 17 Apr, 2019 @ 5:03am
ok that did not work as I expected, I got the name of the class to move as it should.... but the perk remained the same order lol
Zlayer 17 Apr, 2019 @ 4:57am
I unsubscribed and subscribed again but still wrong order as apparently grim new mod class is out of order and for some reason biotics and ed and web class are swapped with one another. I ended manually fixing Grim by changing the numbers from the mod config to the same numbers that appear on new order config
bstar  [author] 17 Apr, 2019 @ 4:43am
That is strange - I suspect it might have to do with load order. I think newer mods might be loaded after older ones so their config changes overwrite them. This would mean that any RPGO plugins released after The New Perk Order (like the Grimy's Classes one) wouldn't be affected by the reordering... In which case I'd probably need to release a separate new version.
Zlayer 17 Apr, 2019 @ 4:29am
Actually nevermind apparently for some reason the order in the config file its not the same from the game, like the fury class instead being at the bottom is bellow scraper,
Zlayer 16 Apr, 2019 @ 6:15pm
any chance description gonna be updated by new order? usually use it as a reference
Daniel_USA 3 Apr, 2019 @ 2:10am
i installed the spec ops mod and the new rising tide mod so i need yo redo the perk tree anyways
bstar  [author] 3 Apr, 2019 @ 2:03am
The second post in the second thread called "Restoring order", yes. I don't see any reason why after following the directions, anything would be messed up - unless you made the change before the most recent update or you recently added any new RPGO plugin mods. Of course, the console command is an option, but it shouldn't be needed in this case.
Daniel_USA 3 Apr, 2019 @ 1:59am
the "restorring order" post?

yes I did that but the traits were still messed up.

I just rebuilt all the soldiers.

RPGO_RebuildSelectedSoldier Optional_PreseveSquaddiePerks true

using additional commands mod and rpgo they add this ability.

not a big deal.
bstar  [author] 1 Apr, 2019 @ 1:55am
Did you scroll down to the second post, Daniel_USA?
Daniel_USA 1 Apr, 2019 @ 1:31am
have to use rpgo command to rebuild all soldiers
Daniel_USA 1 Apr, 2019 @ 1:00am
i changed the ini but the perks are still not correct.
Daniel_USA 1 Apr, 2019 @ 12:38am
ah yeah mine too
Farkyrie 31 Mar, 2019 @ 10:58am
Thank You.
