This mod has the same problem other similar mods have - stupidly low acceleration when going up, pressing spacebar. However, you can just aim with the mouse up and press W to circumvent the slow rising acceleration. So, all in all, it makes using the jetpack VERY annoying after switching from vanilla survival to do basic ship repair/building.

Could you change the acceleration of the "spacebar" thruster? I too want a non cheating jetpack (flying to space with it is stupid) but right now the mod is inconsistent.

Will it work in multiplayer for other players? My friend joins my games

also you have to do this for both male and female.

Also pays to screw around and see what does what.

You can also change color settings size settings, lloot times, etc

PART 2 Now to test make a new folder and name it the name of your mod, create a new folder insisde of that folder, Name that new folder "Data" copy your edited Character.sbc file and drop it in the "Data" folder.

Make your edits and place this new mod you made in your local mods. Then go to single player and test. If you don't like it then you can re-edit that same character.sbc file and save then just reload the game and test again. Once you have it how you like, you can upload to steam and it packs it for you, don't pack it yourself.

Thing may have changed some. They did a change to the mod system since I made this and you may have to do somethiung diffremt. Check youtuibe for help or the keen software house forum.

But a jetpack mod is incredibly easy to make, you don't need to know how to code. Just edit code that is allready there. Poke around a bit

PART1 I've taken a break from the game for now. It's nice to know anythiong higher than 1G makes you a brick, I tested on earth. But I think I can help you make your own. It's real simple, I'm no modder or coder, just a fake that edits files that are present.

Go to your steam libary, look for sapce engineers and oipen local file. open "content" then open data" in here you need "character.sbc" this is where the jetp[ack settings are. REminder that ytour jetpack speed is 10% of your maximum ship speed. You can't change it
In this file look for "trhust propertys. Things here should be self explanatory, but I can tell you what some do if you don't know.

Mookie, you can't take off from the ground on the Alien Planet (1.1g). Makes you feel like a 'brick' to use your terms. I haven't tried it on other planets, but on the 'Moon' (0.25g) it worked fine.

Would be awesome if you could make a version of this Mod that doesn't change the Run/Sprint Speed (just mods the Jetpack)
