Heh, If I knew how to code, I probably would, but... I don't, I'm just saying tho that this mod causes the required mod (wiremod) to have it's own tool loader throw up basically and spew errors that literally are just wiremod complaining that it's not completely running correctly basically. (And one of the people for Wiremod itself asked if you guys did anything to your tool loader that is different from Wiremod itself.)

I bring this info, upon discovery of this issue anyways that is, Your addon has conflicting file with Wiremod itself. The tool loader, albeit the errors created by having both installed are harmless, they are annoying however. I am kinda unsure what you did to cause such to occur however, but I provide this info in hopes that one of you can fix it ahead of time before full release is out.

I'm just not very sure what im supposed to do with that. It doesn't sound anything like wiremod or this pack. Maybe he meant Expression 2, but im not working on that.

I think he's talking about directory trees. Didn't install mod side, but a "structure" and "class" thing makes me think a lot about trees . "serialize it into a file" ..compression?

could you make a class/struct type thing, looking more on the programming side, for example you can make a struct with 2 strings and then serialize it into a file, load and read the file desirialize it back into a struct with the 2 string

Also pre-release means it's not an official release just yet.

I appriciate your help, but unfortunately i am not a modeller. I also do not want to steal models from an existing game, since would make the dev's ask me to take it down. Even if this does not happen, this would increase the file size with models most people wont use.

Having models that could fit in every project will be way more practical. This is what wiremod has been doing all the time, which is one of the reasons they are a great mod.

I am trying to add new input and output devices, because wiremod lacks some analog inputs.
This idea alone will make this pack practical.

In short. This pack is for everyone and every project. Not specific projects.

Though, fortunately you can add your own custom models by very simple commands ( assuming you already got it into the game ). As example for a button would be in console: wire_button_model "your model here".

Hope this gives you enough information about my ideas and plans :)

well then you will be in pre-release for a long time as we are trying to give you recomendations but you keep turning them down. so you realize that not doing things everyone will enjoy will make it so this isnt downloaded as much as you hope right?

i kinda would agree on that point of adding some kind of value display instead of an 2 input screen, and maybe the fact that wiremod should requie more animated switches/buttons, example every button/switch from Infra would be an nice addition

I dont want to confirm this yet. I am thinking of adding more hispeed based hardware. But i had some ideas for non-hispeed io components like a slider and a knob for inputs. We got a wire_lever but it sucks. One of my ideas are also a tape drive. Which is a linear storage device that is saving things on files instead ram and dupe it.

Not much yet. Just a floppy and floppy drive. It is fully functional but has minor issues and not 100% finished. More things will be added later
