Hey, love the mod. Is there any way to lower the volume for Shiv movement sounds? It's very loud compared to every other sound.

The firing animations appear to work with this version of the SHIV mod.

However it doesn't use the typical soldier skill system, instead using proving ground upgrades and engineered stuff. Probably a better approach for a mechanical unit I guess.

Still would love Tintable update to these models.

Also bit of a shame the armour is not tintable, and the upgrades don't change appearance a bit to show upgrades better. But I understand that is pretty hard work to do.

Can't get Laser Cannons to show shooting effects. Seems only some weapons will display the firing effect.

@DPK[???_????] Do the Shivs without skill tree have gremlins? Because "Buildable Units" also adds Shivs.

mod jam and buildable unit can make this mod work in LWOTC.... but they don't seem to promote and has no ability previews in the skill tree

Is it at all possible to release a LWOTC compatible version of this mod? It's used in Ted Jam so its definitely possible to be made compatible. Maybe someone who knows what they are doing can easily copy whatever changes were made in Ted Jam to make it compatible as a standalone mod?

@Madzak and @mayrenise123 even Sparks have a will Stat. Though both Sparks and SHIVS are immune to all mind control/panic related abilities.

I have a little Icon Problem with alpha115 shiv Mod. The shiv soldier Icon shows the rainbow image missing sign. For tests I had to deinstall the mod. Before this I had never such a problem. After reinstalling the Mod the rainbow image is persistent. Resub several times did not Help. Can I manually fix it?

I wish there was more i could do with this mod. I loved these little things in EU and EW, and they put in so much work in this mod as well.

Hartman, as far as I know from using this mod with Buildable Units and Mod Jam/LWotC, you get two via 0-hour projects right off the bat in Research.

I've run into an issue that could just be xcom being weird with animation facing, but my alloy shiv seems to shoot from the wrong side of the gun and also drives backwards.

@RambelZambel You are correct I forgot a line of code in one config File. That is causing the problem. I will release an update to fix this today.

i think update broke something, teslalaunch triggers but does no damage, and shivimmolate does no initaldmg, only cause burning

@alpha115 Well sad to hear that. I use in fact buildable units mod and that bug still happens, so i guess i'll have to contact mod's dev. Anyway thank you for reply.

@Grizzly the shivs do not break portrait generation for other units in Standard WOTC so its an issue with LWOTC.

@Grizzly I do not use LWOTC and cannot fix any issues related to it. If this mod not interacting well with LWOTC, I would recommend using kiruka's build-able units. As for them not generating portraits that is on purpose. It messes up the game trying to take portraits so its set up to not let the SHIVs take them.

@Alpha115 There is a bug in this mod that seems to be break portrait generation, Specifically it makes new soldiers and rebels in LWOTC, recruited after building SHIVs, not having their portraits generated,

to missions even injured

@alpha, it doesnt work with the"expanded robotics repair facility v3" mod, even they are added the in the .ini(that what i meant with "repairbay modguy cant help")

@alpha i ask the repairbay modguy, he cant help either, i found another "bug", if u evac with only a shiv alive u cant hit the continuebutton in the afterbattlescreen, so u cant finish the mission

no i dont use it, i tried it out month ago, but found out i never use it, cause the units are too weak to waste the time needed for other stuff in the proving ground

so i disabled all mod and deleted config, expect expanded repairbay and still cant put them in a repairslot

cant put them in the repairbay, and i had to add them to the blacklist for augements so they dont need them, anyone knows a modconflict why they are handled as soldiers and not as sparks?

@Lux Manifestus A lot of abilities need the secondary item to work. Its a place holder module if you switch it for a gremlin or something many perks just break.

I like your idea for the update. By experimenting with the classdata.ini file, I was able to get an ordnance launcher and a flamethrower to work on the shiv. Please add as many appropriate weapons as you can. The shiv-like units in the original xcom game could launch rockets of various kinds. You could choose between a cannon or rocket launcher, as I remember. It could carry 3 rockets at a time.

@mfitz1970 I could try and look into it but right now I'm working on a few other mod ideas. If someone else wants to make an add-on mod to do it I'd be fine with that as well. Heck I'd even encourage it since I'm not great with animation and art stuff.

@Alpha115: But you know Alpha that might not be such a bad idea it could be like the becon used with the wibble mod that the one author made so you could call in wibbles might be an interesting idea to consider in the next enhancement it's already a cool mod but adding something extra can only enhance a already great mod.

@Denis 2101 I am confused by your question. This mod has no ability to allow you to summon shivs. If you are looking for a mod to do that I have no idea on what mod would do that.
