Is there a way to make it so you can put multiple cameras linked to different screens?
vanbushi 3 May, 2023 @ 11:33pm
Thanks, it still works for me. I tried looking up other mods that do something similar but with no luck. Glad you left this up
gilbertguillen 21 Sep, 2022 @ 1:58pm
It broke :(

Have you guys notice that altering the camera's length (through Transform/Scale/Y) it changes the lens (field of view) of the camera! Was it intended behaviour?

hi, i am also trying to have two projectors, i configured two panels to control the two seperate cameras. but the screen only seems to find 1 of the 2 and there is no script in TTS for it
Azzco 12 Jul, 2020 @ 9:07am
The unity3d files are no longer available.
BlaBlaBlasteur 12 May, 2020 @ 10:35am
I really like this camera which seems to be the most effective I've tried until now, and I'm trying so do multiple cameras. has anybody done this ? I tried touching to the ingame scripts but they do not show up so I'm trying to know where I could configure this. Where can I find the scripts used or the files ? Thank you very much (and thank you CHRY for your work !)

I just launched this mod today to try it out and it is working somehow for me.
ulia  [author] 7 Aug, 2019 @ 4:22pm
This mod is obsolete and chances are I won't find the time to update it. I am quite sure there is at least two similar utilities available on the workshop and I would recommend you just use those instead. I'll leave the in game files up for the time being for those who are successfully using it.

I can not seem to get this to work... The screen is just all white and their appears to only be 3 buttons... one that sets to 0,0,0 and one to hides the camera, and one the hides the FoV Cone..... How do you actually turn the projection on?
Theonian 21 Jul, 2019 @ 6:21am
Aah, right. That makes sense. Sorry for the confusion.
JayMin 20 Jul, 2019 @ 11:18pm
@Theonian "Toggle FOV Projection" just toggles on and off the shaded volume the camera produces.

Though, speaking of orthographic projection, what are your thoughts CHRY?
Theonian 16 Jul, 2019 @ 8:11am
Absolutely love this tool, but there are two things that trouble me:
1. You cannot click on anything in the UI if the screen is behind the button you're trying to press.
2. The "Toggle FOV Projection" button doesn't seem to do anything. I thought it was for swapping between perspective/orthographic view or something, but I see no difference.

can i use the camera in my custom poker table? and if so, then how do i position the screen the way i would like (and multiple screens if possible
Buckwheat 27 Feb, 2019 @ 11:44am
A pleasant surprise to find out having the camera look at the TV will cause infinite visual recursion without crashing the game.
Z Games 7 Feb, 2019 @ 12:02am
I see. I will find other ways to get around.
ulia  [author] 6 Feb, 2019 @ 11:58pm
Unity UI and vertical surfaces do generally not accept the vector paint. Even drawing on the sides of the default cubes results in horrible axis-fighting because the drawing tool wants an X/Z facing surface. Even if I export the display resting flat you wouldn't be able to draw on it as it uses GUI, something I can not fix on the modding level allowed in the game.
Z Games 6 Feb, 2019 @ 8:01pm
Even the cursor wont accept any command when hovering over the projection screen. So it is impossible to pick up an object placed onto the screen, unless the view angle is adjusted horizontally so that the mouse cursor is over the background rather than the screen itself.
Z Games 6 Feb, 2019 @ 6:30pm
Hi there. The dark magic involved in this mod is way beyond my understanding. I played with the tool for a while and find that the projection screen cannot be written on. It seems any drawing in the way of the vertical area above the projection screen would not display. I am looking for a way where you can make some further marks on the projection screen. I try to load another layer of transparent sheet above the screen but any drawing there wont show either. Anything I can do?
ulia  [author] 4 Feb, 2019 @ 9:22pm
Ok but I don't deal wih the lua/xml UI and don't know how the problem manifests, what causes it or how to fix it. This asset uses Unity GUI which could very well be the issue. As such you are out of luck because that isn't changing. Try projecting the render texture on to a mesh instead.
Ukilop 4 Feb, 2019 @ 4:54pm
so all in all, if i wanted the best of both, i would simply like yours to not have the UI problem
Ukilop 4 Feb, 2019 @ 4:53pm
and your also can hide the camera and intangible, as to not have annoyance with autoraise
Ukilop 4 Feb, 2019 @ 4:52pm
i found DejMan's camera and they both work seperatly as a camera, tho interestingly your's seems to handle recursive alot better, and his doesnt have the UI problem
ulia  [author] 3 Feb, 2019 @ 5:02pm
1) Not possible the way you want it to work 2) idk unlikely to be fixable.
Ukilop 3 Feb, 2019 @ 11:07am
and whats with the weird bug of you cant use any UI that covering the TV?
Ukilop 2 Feb, 2019 @ 7:50am
how about support for multi-camera? name the cameras and put its name in description of each monitor or something?
ulia  [author] 27 Jan, 2019 @ 9:32am
Not realistically possible without access to C# scripting on assetbundles. Make your own in whatever aspect ratio you like.
ChizBallz 27 Jan, 2019 @ 7:18am
Is there a way to set the aspect ratio?
Cronoxliker 1 Jan, 2019 @ 6:55pm
I have the perfect usage for this mod for those who said it was useless made my table a better gambling place lol 10/10 (this in poker (community cards)and roulette its perfect! ) thanks!
seeme11 4 Dec, 2018 @ 11:19pm
Is it possible to have the camera record and save the video to the hard drive, or possibly stream to a streaming service?
adran06 2 Dec, 2018 @ 1:08am
I can't seem to get this to work.
sunrosa 9 Nov, 2018 @ 5:58pm
I had no idea this stuff was even possible
Lichtmeister 30 Oct, 2018 @ 3:23pm
Awesome.
That's a great tool, thanks a lot.
darleth 11 Oct, 2018 @ 12:18am
Amazing....
McHolty 9 Oct, 2018 @ 8:30pm
@chry, haha. Fair enough. I am trying to think of a reason for it as it looks neat.
Graychild 9 Oct, 2018 @ 10:28am
holt people asked the same question when scripting was introduced.
ulia  [author] 8 Oct, 2018 @ 11:46pm
The point is to provide the utility for those who can find a purpose for it :steamhappy:
McHolty 8 Oct, 2018 @ 8:38pm
Not being rude, what is the point of this mod? I can't think of a reason this would be useful.
ulia  [author] 7 Oct, 2018 @ 1:26pm
@Akio while multiple cameras is possible, for advanced use it would be strongly recommended for you to build it around your specific use case yourself. It is not on my priority list to make an advanced multiple camera system as I doubt many people would use it.

The camera/display setup is made using render textures and RawImage UI elements for the "TV Displays". The camera has a "Target Texture" field that you can slot your render texture in to.
Melon Pumpkinhead 7 Oct, 2018 @ 11:49am
CHRY the mastermind does it again!
mccrii 6 Oct, 2018 @ 4:52pm
you always come on top chry ;)
Akio Ichiro 6 Oct, 2018 @ 8:25am
how to create 2 different cameras?
ulia  [author] 4 Oct, 2018 @ 7:15pm
That was an oversight on my end, the UI plane was inverted (sort of not really but because of the direction the "TV" prop is facing it needs to be flipped). Updated the mod with a fixed version of the display, if the mod doesn't update just replace the display prop to http://chry.me/tts/camera_projection/rend_plane_v2.unity3d
Cluny 4 Oct, 2018 @ 7:06pm
It's an impressive utility, CHRY, very nice. Is it practicable to edit however the method was done in Unity so that the image displayed will no longer be mirror-reversed, though? So that, for example, numerals and text, presently displayed back-to-front, would be more immediately legible to the eye. [Fun effect to point the camera at the screen display, by the way - to infinity, and beyond!]
ulia  [author] 4 Oct, 2018 @ 5:54pm
What would reversing the image be? Rotate the camera?
EzekielJK 4 Oct, 2018 @ 5:35pm
This is super cool!
BertStein 4 Oct, 2018 @ 9:51am
Is there a way to reverce the image?
