@Thom Blair III Thanks, as it happens I confused this mod (Turn It On and Off v1.3 [1.0]) with Turn It On and Off. Thanks for your time.
Thom Blair III  [author] 14 Mar, 2021 @ 1:01am
@Smitty_the_smith This mod 1.0 mod isn't be updated by us anymore. If you want more up-to-date possibilities, try ones in the comments below. Good luck

Made version that combines this with the functionality of the RePower-mod and also includes settings for the default-powerdraw of in use-buildnings.

1.2?
Thom Blair III  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 4:24pm
@Sandvich Dispenser Fluffy did the majority of the new programming, and Texel made the original mod that I/we modified to be this mod. If you need help contacting Fluffy, please email me at thomwblair@gmail.com
Thom Blair III  [author] 3 Apr, 2020 @ 4:20pm
@Sandvich Dispenser As far as I'm concerned, please feel free to take over the mod, do with it as you see fit. Good luck.
Triel 3 Apr, 2020 @ 9:28am
Hey devs, can you tell us if you intend to update this, or should someone else take over it?
@Xen @Texel @Thom Blair III
Bunnies&Cherris 23 Mar, 2020 @ 11:03pm
Damn Mlie didn't update this one yet lmao

Sir Duncan Idaho 20 Feb, 2020 @ 10:03pm
Please update for 1.1! I get the 'recovered from incompatible or corrupted mod' error with just HugsLib and this loaded.
Thom Blair III  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 10:32am
@サラ Oops, it's not a simple fix. I don't know how to fix that kind of stuff. I don't really feel like figuring it out all over again. Maybe somebody else will. Do you know how to fix it?
Thom Blair III  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 10:23am
@サラ I'll check and see what is needed...thanks

Update 1.1 ?

Being using this mod for a while. It works great, even with all of my mods loaded with custom machines.

I did have a small list of things that it doesn't idle for: Unused Clone vats (from Genetic Rim), the Droid Fabs and Android Printers (from Androids; though it goes down to 10% power), and Devastator Mortars (from Vanilla Turrets). Are those fixable in a dynamic way, or would you be able to put in some sort of exception for those?
YunoAloe 28 Sep, 2019 @ 8:02pm
Works great with over 100 mods for me. Some devices do not turn off, but it's okay, what's important is that no devices consume 1 watt while working.
Thom Blair III  [author] 25 Sep, 2019 @ 1:21pm
@WingedWolf9232 No problem. I hope you enjoy the mod. :)
Winged Wolf 25 Sep, 2019 @ 1:20pm
Thank YOU for mentioning, I was afraid you would take it as a personal attack :S
Thom Blair III  [author] 25 Sep, 2019 @ 1:17pm
@WingedWolf9232 This is not a bug, it is simply the way Rimworld works when pawns deal with low level fluctuating power. However, I will mention it. Thank you.
Winged Wolf 25 Sep, 2019 @ 1:05pm
@Thom Blair III I think you should disclosure the known bugs in the description of this mod; sometimes (long mod lists) it can be hard and take some time to identify which mod is causing certain issues in the game.
Thom Blair III  [author] 21 Sep, 2019 @ 7:11pm
@J’ee Yes, I think I know what you’re talking about. It was a problem no one could figure out how to get around. It’s due to the way pawns act in response to low power. We couldn’t figure out a way to compensate for that, but we hoped it would be an infrequent enough experience that people wouldn’t have too many problems with it.
J'ee 21 Sep, 2019 @ 4:29pm
Good mod. However, there is a problem with the use of the Electric Smithy in erratic low power situations, such as before batteries are researched and you're using wind power. The Electric Smithy, unlike say the Smelter, gets set to 0 watts despite the mod description, so it's fully "on" when there's not enough power to run it. This causes pawns to go back and forth repeatedly trying to do a job they can't do until the power normalizes.
give me games on GoG 18 Aug, 2019 @ 6:06pm
Thanks for the mod Tom.
TheXev 29 Jun, 2019 @ 9:43pm
I wanted to report a small compatibility issue with Hospitality Mod. When a visiting pawn is helping, they can use a building but the power stays at 1W while they use it.
(Some might call that a feature but not me! lol)

Example: The visting pawn is helping research and the Adv. Research Bench is still only using 1W of power.
Goutz 11 May, 2019 @ 7:53am
Could you make it work with industrial roller mod?
necro 29 Apr, 2019 @ 12:51am
Hi, Great mod! I'm surprised it isn't incorporated into the vanilla game... I've encountered a compatibility bug when used with the furnace mod, the furnace only ever uses 1w, it never uses 1000w like its supposed to.
Cow 22 Apr, 2019 @ 4:23am
Thanks a lot man this is exactly what I was looking for
Thom Blair III  [author] 12 Apr, 2019 @ 4:21pm
I don’t know.
BA 12 Apr, 2019 @ 6:19am
Is it possible to use multiplier then fixed amount of 1w?
Like 10% when idle
Milenier/TTV 10 Apr, 2019 @ 6:37am
oh well. but i'm still very thankful i couldn't do it myself.
Thom Blair III  [author] 9 Apr, 2019 @ 7:42pm
@Milenier I agree, it’d be neat to have user defined settings, but unfortunately, that’s much too advanced for my low level programming skills. I’m sorry.
Milenier/TTV 9 Apr, 2019 @ 11:07am
could i ask for some mod options? i think that this mod is way too good making living much easier. i would wan't to choose myself how much machine should use power when not used because 1 watt is just too little
Jaxx - pshoooo 13 Mar, 2019 @ 10:18am
just a heads up but the AI Manager from the Manager mod by Fluffy always uses the 1w power usage, even when it's technically supposed to be doing the "manager calculations" on its schedule.
Thom Blair III  [author] 7 Feb, 2019 @ 4:58am
Thank you! 😀

@Thom Blair III
For some reason, every time I click on that link I get Steam's "Link Blocked" message.
I think it's because of the "http://(" that you don't need at all.
Here's a link that works: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=726121441

@Natalo77 Someone said this mod http://(https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=726121441 “Furnace” wasn’t working with mine, but that might have changed. I’m not sure.
Natalo77 6 Feb, 2019 @ 1:39pm
Any hard incompatabilites?
sergprom 30 Jan, 2019 @ 1:18pm
turns off vitals monitors and does not turn on.
Thom Blair III  [author] 18 Jan, 2019 @ 9:19pm
@sparkle I don’t know, I’ve never tried it. Sorry.
sparkle 18 Jan, 2019 @ 10:32am
Does this work with the showers from Dubs Bad Hygiene?
ChromePlate 28 Dec, 2018 @ 3:12am
eh it is ok, i have so many mods, lol
Thom Blair III  [author] 27 Dec, 2018 @ 5:43pm
@ChromePlate @Zapp Brannigan @Oh God Spiders No - Hi! I'm sorry you are having problems with the mod, but I can't recreate the problem. When I use only this mod and no other mods, the heaters and air conditioners work properly.

@Oh God Spiders No - Unfortunately, I don't know how to alter the code for things like that. Texel and some other people did all that coding.
Oh God Spiders No 27 Dec, 2018 @ 1:53pm
Can you work with the creator of 'Furnace' (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=726121441) to make them a bit more compatible? It's supposed to run at something like 1000 Watts but your mod sets it to 1. It doesn't do this with A/C and Space Heaters so there's probably something unusual about how the Furnace describes its 'active' and 'passive' power consumption.
Zapp Brannigan 26 Dec, 2018 @ 2:37pm
I had the same issue with temp in general, all heaters, coolers, and vents from redist heat, say they are working but fail to heat or cool the room.
ChromePlate 24 Dec, 2018 @ 9:55am
sadly seems my heaters stopped working right, may be a conflict with the multitude of other mods i have.
AmbiguousMonk 22 Dec, 2018 @ 4:16pm
No worries! Thanks for the mod anyway. This is a great vanilla-friendly addition. Like I said, I just want to make things harder for myself while also using this :P
Thom Blair III  [author] 22 Dec, 2018 @ 4:14pm
@AmbiguousMonk I don’t know of any way to customize the power usage. Sorry.
AmbiguousMonk 21 Dec, 2018 @ 12:22pm
That would be so awesome if we could get customization options, but I'm definitely still using this mod either way. Do you know of any way/mod I could increase the power cost of electrical machines while they *are* in sure, without impacting the effects of this mod?
