@Battlestar those are vanilla numbers for ALL swords, vanilla and TLP. The TLP ones just display the number whereas vanilla ones do not.
Spotter 26 Oct, 2024 @ 4:15pm
why, Why WHY do the X-COM goofs, keep promoting a game they quit improving at least twice a year? :steamthumbsdown::steamthumbsdown:
Battlestar 26 Oct, 2024 @ 3:24pm
Please note any purists who want options. The alternate TLP swords have a +20 accuracy advantage still left in. You can easy change this to +0 in the 1535154541 mod number, file XComGameData_WeaponData and change at the end of the file the 3 options to - RangerSword_Conventional_Aim_TLP = 0, RangerSword_Magnetic_Aim_TLP = 0, RangerSword_Beam_Aim_TLP = 0.

Thank you so so much, I despise 2k for making the weapons look like shit and then dangling limited amounts of well designed ones in our faces.
STyGIAN 25 Dec, 2023 @ 4:18am
Genuinely, thank you so much for this mod.
Procyon 8 Feb, 2023 @ 10:44am
How can I keep the original bonuses of the TLP weapons?
Jess 11 Jun, 2022 @ 10:44pm
Can a bridge mod be made to get this to work with Covert Infiltration and Prototype armoury?
Lord Jesus III 4 May, 2022 @ 8:14pm
Did one of the breakthroughs not correctly apply to the Advanced Blade? It does one less damage than the base tier-3 Fusion Blade (7-9 vs 8-10).

For the record I just downloaded this mod mid-campaign, I don't know if that's relevant--however, breakthroughs seem to apply on everything else BUT the Advanced Blade. 1 dmg point short.
DERPKING1991 27 Jul, 2021 @ 1:54pm
For some reason the weapons wont auto keep the upgrades when the stuff is done like it use to.
GrunsTala 20 Mar, 2021 @ 10:44am
sorry if that was already asked before but, if i have one of those upgrade-research thing that allows me to have more upgrades on the default gun, will it also work with those ones or i have to change it manually in the files?
Syro System 30 Oct, 2020 @ 5:04pm
Managed to edit it after inserting a second hard drive that runs windows and installing Xcom 2 on it.
I was running it on Linux before so that's the most likely source of the problem (it also gave me other weird, nonsensical problems like crashing my game if I rotated a soldier in the barracks to many degrees).
Dragon32 11 Oct, 2020 @ 5:46am
@Syro System
Weird. Permissions on that file or the mod's folder maybe? I can edit it, btw.
Syro System 11 Oct, 2020 @ 3:29am
I got more than enough disk space and I can edit any ini in any other mod folder without issues. This is the only one that behaves like this.
Dragon32 10 Oct, 2020 @ 6:21pm
@Syro System
That sounds like a problem local to your machine, not the mod. Have you checked disk space, AV settings etc?
Syro System 10 Oct, 2020 @ 2:21pm
Why can't I edit the XComGameData_WeaponData.ini?
I'm trying to set the "SeparateTLPStats = true" to false, but it absolutely refuses to save my edit, instead creating an entierly new file (with a different designation) while leaving the original file unaltered.
This confuses the shit out of me as I have edited loads of Xcom mod ini files and never encountered this problem before.
Bearalaika 17 May, 2020 @ 11:41am
Is there compatibility with the visual upgrades mod?
Valvatorez(Cox Cable = awful ISP 5 Mar, 2020 @ 11:03am
@Raga (Justin Pearce)
I know where it downloads I just couldn't find a way to damage change values in the .ini files. I don't think it's possible with this mod though.
Raga (Justin Pearce) 19 Feb, 2020 @ 9:42pm
As bizarre as it may sound to ask this, is there any way to make them Finite? There is no other mod I can find in the workshop that allows you to customize the stats of the TLP weapons on their own, at all. Is there any chance you might add an option to make these weapons Finite, or a seperate mod that allows you to modify the weapon stats on their own?

@Valvatorez It's in wherever you saved steam, then Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1535154541
Valvatorez(Cox Cable = awful ISP 2 Feb, 2020 @ 9:06am
What do I have to change in the files just to get the stat change? As I want the CV TLP guns to be the same as Laser weapons and Magnetic TLP tier to have the same damage as Coil Tier weapons.
Abrakadabra 28 Oct, 2019 @ 10:12am
Hey, fantastic mod its great.
is it intentional that there are now 4 upgrade slots on the tlp weapons? Mod works fine and i can now use any number of tlp weapons. But they have 4 upgrade slots. Is there a way I can tweak it so they only have as many upgrade slots as the standard plasma weapons?
Dont know how though...
Feezec 15 Sep, 2019 @ 7:42am
Awesome mod. I have a minor visual bug.
I can add weapon attachments to the TLP weapons.
the gameplay bonus gets properly applied.
but visually, the weapon is unchanged.
Syro System 4 Aug, 2019 @ 12:59pm
@Versatility Jones You should try the mods "Nerf High Tier Weapons" and "Reload Ends Turn" if you dislike OP weapons. Makes the game MUCH more interesting to play.
Personally, I also throw weapon attachments, PCSes and meme beacons in the bin.
After that, all you need is a pod size booster and Yellow Alert, and you can finally say goodbye to alpha strike gameplay.
Dragon32 31 Jul, 2019 @ 11:03am
@McGibblers:
Use Tools > Import Active Mods and, you shouldn't need to, but check that path for your Workshop directory is correct in Settings.
Dęąth Viper 30 Jul, 2019 @ 2:41pm
@Dragon32 I tried to use the community mod launcher but my mods simply dont show up on it or even register. So I could never use it... is that common?
Versatility Jones 15 May, 2019 @ 8:21am
This is perfect. What with the Chosen Weapons and the Alien Hunter Weapons, I do NOT need more OP, unique weapons that you risk losing if a soldier dies.
Infinite, optional, cosmetic options is what I wanted the TLP weapons to be all along.
Beltalowda 11 May, 2019 @ 8:18pm
by chance does this remove the 'free' mods that come with the weapons? Feel like I'd be cheating if they dont. If they dont, is there a way to do so via ini edit?
GnaReffotsirk 16 Mar, 2019 @ 1:05pm
I can't find my coil guns. Does this disable coilguns?
Dragon32 4 Feb, 2019 @ 10:41am
@Spectre:
Not 100% following you, but here's some great Mod Troubleshooting advice.
That recommends the excellent Community Mod Launcher [github.com], which everyone who uses mods should be using.
This guide gives some more detailed advice on using the Community Mod Launcher: Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all
If you've just switched from the Firaxis Launcher, or are forced to use it, read the "Mods not activating/deactivating properly in WOTC" section of Mod not working? Mods still have their effects after you disable them?
Switch 3 Feb, 2019 @ 5:39pm
May this cause problem, when I used this mod, but after used the TLP unlock all, because the mode LP unlock all is not working since that, how can I fix?
B0atsMcG0ats 9 Jan, 2019 @ 11:01pm
@Cort
Not sure how to fix it entirely, but equipping your soldier(s) with a primary variant of a TLP secondary weapon, then running the script that forces one into your inventory, will give you one more of said item.
SoCaliber 9 Jan, 2019 @ 9:48am
Would of been nice if you kept the original mods the the tlp guns. Thats the whole point of them. Oh well, hopefully somebody else can make that mod soon.
Medicman 6 Jan, 2019 @ 5:36pm
Yeah would like to keep the base upgrade with no weapon slots, (Like base game)
Oblivious Naga 31 Dec, 2018 @ 9:04am
Is it possible to keep the default upgrades?
Bwuce Bwayne 6 Dec, 2018 @ 1:20pm
@NotSoLoneWolf
Found it, thank you! :D
NotSoLoneWolf  [author] 6 Dec, 2018 @ 11:28am
@Thurion Heavenshield
You can change the number of attachment slots on each weapon in the config files. You can't disable them, because that breaks the "infinite" part of this mod.
Bwuce Bwayne 6 Dec, 2018 @ 10:11am
Any way to configure attachment slots?
Deadput 18 Nov, 2018 @ 1:47pm
No
King Brick 18 Nov, 2018 @ 10:11am
Does this mean that we're still suck with only 1 of each tier 1 weapon?
Riven is my waifu 15 Nov, 2018 @ 2:16am
Using Primary Secondaries I have issues with the TLP sword and pistols not being infinite and I'm not quite sure how to work around it. Any ideas?
Abdulla Babulla 6 Nov, 2018 @ 2:22am
@Lithe If you're playing on RPGO, you should absolutely disable custom stats. RPGO introduces its own balance to weapons(unless you're willing to change the balance).
To answer your question: no. Whether you disable or enable custom stats is irrelevant. In order to set the number of TLP upgrade slots, you need to set it specifically in this mod's .ini file.
If you need further instruction, you may add me on Steam.

@NotSoLoneWolf Thank you for your work :)
NotSoLoneWolf  [author] 5 Nov, 2018 @ 10:55pm
Updated! Stat changes should be fixed now. Unfortunately, whenever I update the mod, your configs get wiped. Hope you made backups.
NotSoLoneWolf  [author] 5 Nov, 2018 @ 6:06pm
Hey guys, with the help of @bstar I found the issue. If you're playing on Veteran difficulty, the stat changes will work. On any other difficulty they will not. Working on a patch right now.
Lithe 5 Nov, 2018 @ 4:36am
@Vulpes, so disabling the custom stats increases mod slots for TLP weapons to 3?
Abdulla Babulla 4 Nov, 2018 @ 2:49pm
@Lithe I disabled custom stats in the .ini, and it's working for me. Maybe it's something on your end - have you tried re-subbing to some of these mods, or shuffling load order around?
Lithe 4 Nov, 2018 @ 9:51am
So, I'm playing RPGO and I think the stat changes that mod makes to default weapons makes your TLP modded stats strictly inferior to the base weapons. This is the case even if I have the custom stats turned off, because your TLP weapons have only one mod slot as opposed to the default three for conventional weapons.
bstar 3 Nov, 2018 @ 2:43pm
Hey NotSoLoneWolf Thanks for this mod. Unfortunately, I have the same issue with the changed stats - they do not take effect in the game. They're not shown in the armoury UI nor are they applied in missions.
LB 1 Nov, 2018 @ 12:13am
Exactly what I expected when I got the TLC. I'm irritated that the devs didn't just have this in the base game to begin with, but I'm very happy that you created this mod only days after the TLC was released.

Very much recommend this one.
CtrlAltD1337 29 Oct, 2018 @ 1:31pm
@NotSoLoneWolf

Gotcha, thanks! Great mod, really enjoying it thus far - just prefer a lot of the legacy weapons so it's great being able to have so many, now. Was amazed that it turned out you could only get the one of each, made no sense!
NotSoLoneWolf  [author] 28 Oct, 2018 @ 5:14pm
@CtrlAltD1337
No, the preset upgrades will be removed no matter what the .ini settings are set to. That .ini setting will change absolutely nothing by default, but if you have other mods that change the stats of the default weapons then you want it set to false. If you want to customize the TLP weapons' stats yourself, then the setting needs to be true.
CtrlAltD1337 28 Oct, 2018 @ 8:59am
I've subbed to this and set the data file to false. So, just to make sure I'm getting this right, this means I'll get unlimited TLP weapons but operation with vanilla stats but pre-determined upgrades? the upgrades I'm not too fussed about, I just don't want to be using weapons with better stats that could make the campaign too easy (s them coming with free mods helps enough!) Thanks!
