Report a translation problem
For the record I just downloaded this mod mid-campaign, I don't know if that's relevant--however, breakthroughs seem to apply on everything else BUT the Advanced Blade. 1 dmg point short.
I was running it on Linux before so that's the most likely source of the problem (it also gave me other weird, nonsensical problems like crashing my game if I rotated a soldier in the barracks to many degrees).
Weird. Permissions on that file or the mod's folder maybe? I can edit it, btw.
That sounds like a problem local to your machine, not the mod. Have you checked disk space, AV settings etc?
I'm trying to set the "SeparateTLPStats = true" to false, but it absolutely refuses to save my edit, instead creating an entierly new file (with a different designation) while leaving the original file unaltered.
This confuses the shit out of me as I have edited loads of Xcom mod ini files and never encountered this problem before.
I know where it downloads I just couldn't find a way to damage change values in the .ini files. I don't think it's possible with this mod though.
@Valvatorez It's in wherever you saved steam, then Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1535154541
is it intentional that there are now 4 upgrade slots on the tlp weapons? Mod works fine and i can now use any number of tlp weapons. But they have 4 upgrade slots. Is there a way I can tweak it so they only have as many upgrade slots as the standard plasma weapons?
Dont know how though...
I can add weapon attachments to the TLP weapons.
the gameplay bonus gets properly applied.
but visually, the weapon is unchanged.
Personally, I also throw weapon attachments, PCSes and meme beacons in the bin.
After that, all you need is a pod size booster and Yellow Alert, and you can finally say goodbye to alpha strike gameplay.
Use Tools > Import Active Mods and, you shouldn't need to, but check that path for your Workshop directory is correct in Settings.
Infinite, optional, cosmetic options is what I wanted the TLP weapons to be all along.
Not 100% following you, but here's some great Mod Troubleshooting advice.
That recommends the excellent Community Mod Launcher [github.com], which everyone who uses mods should be using.
This guide gives some more detailed advice on using the Community Mod Launcher: Troubleshooting: Mods not working properly / at all
If you've just switched from the Firaxis Launcher, or are forced to use it, read the "Mods not activating/deactivating properly in WOTC" section of Mod not working? Mods still have their effects after you disable them?
Not sure how to fix it entirely, but equipping your soldier(s) with a primary variant of a TLP secondary weapon, then running the script that forces one into your inventory, will give you one more of said item.
Found it, thank you! :D
You can change the number of attachment slots on each weapon in the config files. You can't disable them, because that breaks the "infinite" part of this mod.
To answer your question: no. Whether you disable or enable custom stats is irrelevant. In order to set the number of TLP upgrade slots, you need to set it specifically in this mod's .ini file.
If you need further instruction, you may add me on Steam.
@NotSoLoneWolf Thank you for your work :)
Very much recommend this one.
Gotcha, thanks! Great mod, really enjoying it thus far - just prefer a lot of the legacy weapons so it's great being able to have so many, now. Was amazed that it turned out you could only get the one of each, made no sense!
No, the preset upgrades will be removed no matter what the .ini settings are set to. That .ini setting will change absolutely nothing by default, but if you have other mods that change the stats of the default weapons then you want it set to false. If you want to customize the TLP weapons' stats yourself, then the setting needs to be true.
