Consider it a humble request? Unfortunately, I only use steam deck and only use mods on the workshop that don't require SKYUI or SKSE. Time it would take to configure the deck for nexus mods simply wouldn't be worth the effort. :(

Can you make a doubled/tripled squads version and add them to every settlement?

SSE Version???

@ Cottonmouth...I had similar problems with dead npcs from attacks in town until I installed 'Run For Your Lives' mod. The shopkeeps have lived longer for it, and the stable hands in Whiterun. Before that, vamps killed Belethor, and all stable hands and carriage guy in Whiterun in early games. With it installed, I have seen maybe 2 dead npcs. Mostly during questlines involving killing a vamp leader nearby, the attacks seem to increase a lot when they find out they are in peril. One time had 3 attacks from the in a row.

oh some of those spells have some basic wild card damage multipliers vs certain creatures... nothing fancy... but enough to make you think a little before just spamming everything that moves with them. (it does compensate for them otherwise being a little OP vs vanilla creatures)

Note: "Undead" inclueds vampires (among other things) give them a go an see what burns :)
Melletch 3. jan. 2015 kl. 18:54
Why didn't we get that many spells against vampires or werewolves specifically and not just the dead
Melletch 3. jan. 2015 kl. 18:54
P.S. Nice looking goods.
Melletch 3. jan. 2015 kl. 18:53
saw silver stake, was looking for that. Might switch from other mod to this. The other one added Dawnguard, but I think it may or may not be part of a glitch. So I will keep an eye here.
Kanzhar 14. dec. 2014 kl. 7:16
Sounds to be a very good mod, i also think that Isran and dawnguards have to be more powerfull in the game, they are vampire hunters not a castle decoration.
Fox'nt 4. juli 2014 kl. 13:56
This mod is really good, it helps with the realisum if u were gonna kill vampires. You would use a steak
JohnSmith11 7. juni 2014 kl. 16:32
I really like the look of the Silver Stake. I wish there was a way to have that weapon seperate, and find some way to integrate a chest-stab kill move with it.
(HS)->Cottonmouth 16. maj 2014 kl. 20:23
Never understood why they put the vampire attacks in the towns. Dont know how many time I fast traveled to well any of the towns to find dead NPCs because of the freakin vampires. Lots of reloads because a NPC I needed to talk to was killed by a freakin vampire. So stupid the worst part about Dawnguard DLC.
beast902 10. apr. 2014 kl. 18:30
suggestion

hey mod maker could you make it so the dawnguard will hunt your vampire character and if possible make them hunt your vampire character in a variaty of ways. other than that your mod is pretty awesome
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 25. mar. 2014 kl. 17:33
I’d say it should probably be ok... this mod mostly just adds new stuff and doesn’t really affect core content.

Only real incompatibilities are mods that alter tavern interiors and hold capitals, even then it only seems to be BIG changes that cause any kind of problem. Besides the location cells affected core files (in this version) are the "Prey" Encounters (which are not typically used by other mods)...

Side note: Vampire hunter wilderness encounters seems to very greatly. I played for 10 hours and didn’t get a single one, and then I got a large cluster of them. I've noticed that other mods that use this method do the same thing (which can result in more than a couple of epic cross mod monster battles whilst exploring). At some point I'll look into finding a better way of doing encounters

If i find the time I’ll check out Brehenians Mod to see if there are any potential conflicts. (and because it sounds pretty cool)
InquisitiveBard 24. mar. 2014 kl. 16:35
Is this compatible with Brehenians Improved Vampires and the Castle Volkihar Redux mods??
ElderGamer1 17. feb. 2014 kl. 10:43
Have to say it's grest! So many attacks and great help plus one of those spells knocked me out but at first I thought I was dead, Lol then I recovered! Thanks again!
ElderGamer1 15. feb. 2014 kl. 9:49
I just started playing again after a break and I was just wondering if you have a recent Updates/comments that might be posted elsewhere....I love what I have seen so far and for the first time I am not going to side with the Vampires "Becasuse of your Mod"...Thnaks for making it!
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 18. dec. 2013 kl. 10:13
Hi

Yes these are some issues I’ve noticed on my most recent play through

This morning’s upload:
I did some rebalancing, made the dawnguard vampire hunters weaker, and made the wild encounters less likely to occur*

*wild encounters should now also occur later in the game (for characters level 20+)

So please give it a go and provide feedback.
evilenterprizez 17. dec. 2013 kl. 15:24
Oh and they're far too strong. The vamps dont stand a chance. Not to mention you if you commit a crime. Do like this mod though, it stays favourited.
evilenterprizez 17. dec. 2013 kl. 15:19
The dawnguard are now everywhere, killing my dragons, scaring the wildlife and just basically being a nuisance. Will re subscribe if you thin them out a bit.
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 7. dec. 2013 kl. 8:25
interesting, might be somthing to do with another mod, try changeing the load order and see if that helps
Magnachist 6. dec. 2013 kl. 23:38
So I found a BIG BUG. = / I love this mod. best guards ever. But now They all changed their outfits to be stormcloaks and are attacking EVERYTHING. They killed their own quartermaster, and all the imperial soldiers in winterhold. and just. uhhhg.
It's Bio 5. dec. 2013 kl. 16:54
can you make isran less of a tool
ElderGamer1 30. nov. 2013 kl. 11:27
I'm beginning a new game and I was wondering if you had added thoses great ideas you had for you Mod...I also wanted to be on the Dawnguards side this time too!
hannes_tali 24. sep. 2013 kl. 6:21
this is a good mod because I have always wanted to see a few dawnguard men in capitals thanks for adding this mod
ElderGamer1 4. sep. 2013 kl. 17:11
Sounds like a very needed addition to The Dawnguard. I usually play a Vampire but this game I wanted to be in Dawnguard...They always seemed to have better weapons...I'm downloading now! Thanks for adding your Mod!
JohnSmith11 22. aug. 2013 kl. 23:48
@author is there any way you can just make a seperate mod that inserts the stakes, Every other mod just recolors the shanks and says they're stakes.
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 11. aug. 2013 kl. 13:50
@origami, that’s the first I heard of the rune shield thing, I don’t think is has anything to do with my mod as its part of the vanilla dawnguard set.

@pages, If you're a vampire... well that depends if you’re in the dawnguard or not, since the vampire hunters are dawnguard, they can be hostile if you have the wrong factional allegiances... so be careful. If you find that you want to avoid them however that can be easily done as they only patrol certain areas at certain times of day so be careful.

@fear, the "tooth puller guy" will eventually be the gateway to the quest I’m going to add to this mod, which I will upload sometime in the future (but that may take some time) in the meantime feel free to enjoy the dawnguard’s services as vendors and have an endlessly repetitive conversation with Svalgralph... if you want to... (I wouldn’t I had enough of talking to him during testing, and my version of him says a lot more than the uploaded version)

Thanks for playing
possamble 8. aug. 2013 kl. 10:12
my dawnguard rune shield disappeared, but the enchantment still works no matter what I equip in that hand. Do you have any idea what might have happened?
the2pages 6. aug. 2013 kl. 21:40
wait what if i happen to be a vampire and wander into a hold with this mod on?
Jivebot 5. aug. 2013 kl. 11:13
So what's the deal with that Tooth Puller guy in White Run? He doesn't seem to do or say anything special.
Oranges 5. aug. 2013 kl. 10:39
I fixed this Awhile ago, i had to unsub, delete from game data files, update steam and then it was fixed.
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 3. aug. 2013 kl. 12:10
Hello.

the esm for this mod is "Vampire Hunters"

...which is what i would have called it here... but that names taken already :(

I get error 21's on random mods from time to time too i think it has more to do with the status of the steam workshop than the mod's themselves.

Good luck, & thanks for playing
Oranges 26. juli 2013 kl. 22:10
Whats the file name so I can find it then uninstall and reinstall this? I accidentally deleted the mod and It glitched my mod loadup.
Oranges 26. juli 2013 kl. 22:01
error 21 Dawn offensive? Help!? It won't let me install other mods
Timewaster 17. juli 2013 kl. 3:15
ok thanks
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 16. juli 2013 kl. 14:12
That issue is unrelated to this mod.

If I had to guess I’d say that you may have had another mod or mods that enhanced your player attributes.

You would probably need to re-install your other mods to get your characters abilities back to what they were.

Either way, there's nothing in this mod that would cause that effect.
Timewaster 16. juli 2013 kl. 3:18
i have a new problem after new installing the mod(had to delete all mods because of problems) is started the game and all my abilitys are dropped by half need help :(
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 15. juli 2013 kl. 10:12
Yes they will. (after 3 days i think they should return)

Before i rebalanced it the dawngaurd tore up those forsworn guys up without taking a single caualty, (but that caused... problems so i weakend them)
Jivebot 14. juli 2013 kl. 23:56
I have a bit of a problem. The Forsworn just massacred the Dawnguard during their escape from Cidna mine. Will the Dawnguard respawn?
Timewaster 13. juli 2013 kl. 11:51
good mod :), I think it would be nice if they would not only patrol in cities
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 7. juli 2013 kl. 11:12
OK I've uploaded a new file, hopefully the mesh should be in there this time - along with a few other nicknaks i was going to upload next week, please take a look and let me know if its working ok now

Thanks for playing :)
Ali113 6. juli 2013 kl. 16:37
found and purchased a silver spike from a quartermaster , even equiped it - but it is invisible , no mesh no texture at all , and no immage of the spike in my inventory just a description . Is this spike a phantom weapon or is something amiss ??
{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 5. juli 2013 kl. 14:01
Hey Guys, thanks for the comments - i had a little trouble with my ISP so sorry about the silence.

Right, this weeks update - new weapon - silver stake... new mesh (my first XD) , upgradable at a grind stone - can only be purchased from quartermasters (though it would be more lore friendly that way cause you cant forge silver weapons)

Should be on in a few minutes

Thanks for playing :)
Kammyosoba 5. juli 2013 kl. 9:45
was going to do this myself... you beat me to it.
King Vlad The Rad Chad 3. juli 2013 kl. 7:01
last time a checked this wasent a good mod didnt have good rateings mabeye necause it was new
Ezza 30. juni 2013 kl. 4:37
do the vampire hunters stay and fight if you have the run for your lives mod? or do they run away?
hosfac 27. juni 2013 kl. 17:32
Look at it from a lore perspective:

You're a guard, and you've been patroling the streets of Whiterun for a number of years now, and not doing a bad job of it. The city is orderly and you've personally helped fend off a bandit attack or two. Then, in walks this guy who says to the Jarl: "Your guys can't handle THIS menace," and the Jarl agrees to let them post a contingent.

Then this adventurer comes back to town...you know the guy: he's helped the Jarl out, supports the economy, helped kill dragons, done good deeds throughout the hold, is a respected member of the Companions, defended/liberated the city during the civil war and is an all around badass...oh, and he happens to be a vampire, too. All of a sudden, these yahoos who said that you suck at your job jump him. What do you do?

Well, what I'd do is I'd look at them and say "Hey, this is YOUR job." :P
hosfac 27. juni 2013 kl. 17:10
I think you misunderstood what I was asking. When you're playing the vampire questline as a vampire, the Dawnguard are a regular random encounter like roaming bandits, dragons, that traveling bard or the dude with a bad attitude that calls you a milk drinker and picks a fight. It's not uncommon for them to pop up after fast traveling to an open city like Falkreath to jump you and when they attack, the guards will attack THEM like any other enemy.

My question is how this mod works with the game mechanics in this regard. If the Dawnguard patrol attacks you in a city, to the guards slaughter them like the random enounters, or will you be racking up a ridiculous bounty for fighting back like you would with killing guards after you comit a crime? Or do the regular guards just ignore the entire altercation?

{NOC}JURY  [ophavsmand] 27. juni 2013 kl. 11:38
ok good point, in an attempt to adress these balance issues for vampire players i just downgraded the vampire hunter grunts to be a little less hardy and to be far less likely to detect player characters who are sneaking. as for race specific detection, i'll have to look into it... i dont really wnat to go into giving player characters special vampire sneak bonuses just to avoid my guys as that could end up doing more harm than good :(
