Note: "Undead" inclueds vampires (among other things) give them a go an see what burns :)
hey mod maker could you make it so the dawnguard will hunt your vampire character and if possible make them hunt your vampire character in a variaty of ways. other than that your mod is pretty awesome
Only real incompatibilities are mods that alter tavern interiors and hold capitals, even then it only seems to be BIG changes that cause any kind of problem. Besides the location cells affected core files (in this version) are the "Prey" Encounters (which are not typically used by other mods)...
Side note: Vampire hunter wilderness encounters seems to very greatly. I played for 10 hours and didn’t get a single one, and then I got a large cluster of them. I've noticed that other mods that use this method do the same thing (which can result in more than a couple of epic cross mod monster battles whilst exploring). At some point I'll look into finding a better way of doing encounters
If i find the time I’ll check out Brehenians Mod to see if there are any potential conflicts. (and because it sounds pretty cool)
Yes these are some issues I’ve noticed on my most recent play through
This morning’s upload:
I did some rebalancing, made the dawnguard vampire hunters weaker, and made the wild encounters less likely to occur*
*wild encounters should now also occur later in the game (for characters level 20+)
So please give it a go and provide feedback.
@pages, If you're a vampire... well that depends if you’re in the dawnguard or not, since the vampire hunters are dawnguard, they can be hostile if you have the wrong factional allegiances... so be careful. If you find that you want to avoid them however that can be easily done as they only patrol certain areas at certain times of day so be careful.
@fear, the "tooth puller guy" will eventually be the gateway to the quest I’m going to add to this mod, which I will upload sometime in the future (but that may take some time) in the meantime feel free to enjoy the dawnguard’s services as vendors and have an endlessly repetitive conversation with Svalgralph... if you want to... (I wouldn’t I had enough of talking to him during testing, and my version of him says a lot more than the uploaded version)
Thanks for playing
the esm for this mod is "Vampire Hunters"
...which is what i would have called it here... but that names taken already :(
I get error 21's on random mods from time to time too i think it has more to do with the status of the steam workshop than the mod's themselves.
Good luck, & thanks for playing
If I had to guess I’d say that you may have had another mod or mods that enhanced your player attributes.
You would probably need to re-install your other mods to get your characters abilities back to what they were.
Either way, there's nothing in this mod that would cause that effect.
Before i rebalanced it the dawngaurd tore up those forsworn guys up without taking a single caualty, (but that caused... problems so i weakend them)
Thanks for playing :)
Right, this weeks update - new weapon - silver stake... new mesh (my first XD) , upgradable at a grind stone - can only be purchased from quartermasters (though it would be more lore friendly that way cause you cant forge silver weapons)
Should be on in a few minutes
Thanks for playing :)
You're a guard, and you've been patroling the streets of Whiterun for a number of years now, and not doing a bad job of it. The city is orderly and you've personally helped fend off a bandit attack or two. Then, in walks this guy who says to the Jarl: "Your guys can't handle THIS menace," and the Jarl agrees to let them post a contingent.
Then this adventurer comes back to town...you know the guy: he's helped the Jarl out, supports the economy, helped kill dragons, done good deeds throughout the hold, is a respected member of the Companions, defended/liberated the city during the civil war and is an all around badass...oh, and he happens to be a vampire, too. All of a sudden, these yahoos who said that you suck at your job jump him. What do you do?
Well, what I'd do is I'd look at them and say "Hey, this is YOUR job." :P
My question is how this mod works with the game mechanics in this regard. If the Dawnguard patrol attacks you in a city, to the guards slaughter them like the random enounters, or will you be racking up a ridiculous bounty for fighting back like you would with killing guards after you comit a crime? Or do the regular guards just ignore the entire altercation?
