Noticed that these filters introduced lag micro stutters into my game. I noticed this after having about 10 running. They work great but I hate lag more then anything. Not sure why they would do this...perhaps to many checks per tick or something. This was on a small base as well, i hadnt even hooked up lithium to my main bus yet....anyway, 2 cents :)

USE WITH CAUTION! This is a real resource hog.

I attempted to use these filters to sort mob drops (lucrative mobs) and had over 100 of them running. I experienced severe lag, timeouts, crashes; and could no longer use teleporters without crashing. Once I picked up the filters, everything returned to normal.

Found quite the exploit, easily reproduced, posted in bug reports.

I just tried these out and these are fantastic. My falcor network used to require a dozen storage hoppers with filters on both outputs, and now the hoppers have been eliminated and so have half of the filters. Very, very nice. Kudos to you, and, of course, kudos to Mad Vandal for the distribution splitter that you based it on.

I've never thought about that, the next time I patch, I make the button variable.

I actually use it just as much! Both prove to be fantastic for so many uses.

You should also try the DistributionSplitter, which served as an example for this mod.

Your mod is incredible, exactly what I wanted AND needed. a compact, simple, and effective in-conveyor filtering system.

logistics in this game like a mess without mods...

I know, just one of those facepalm moments. Going to have a lot of fun trying out new configurations with this tomorrow!

nonsense, that can happen to anyone.

I still blame myself for not seeing the little direction instructions DIRECTLY ABOVE the other controls on the lower left of the HUD.

The idea is not mine. I stole it from the distribution splitter mod. :steamhappy:

I should put it in the description. If you don't know it, it's easily overlooked.

Conclusion: blabla filter is best filter, even if used by an idiot.:steamhappy:

Wow, now I feel like an idiot. How did I not notice that? On the bright side, I like this filter even more than I did before. It fits so well into so many setups and makes a lot of things much simpler to get from one place to another. Thanks for correcting my stupidity/blindness, lol!

Just change flow with +/- keys and rotate with R key and look at the small additional window at the bottom left.

All directions should be possible.
blabla  [author] 25 Dec, 2018 @ 1:49pm
That's all my pride. That is possible. :steamhappy:

Yeah, that makes sense. I suppose the only other thing to improve the mod (in my opinion) would be to have a version that would filter items to the left side of the input instead of the right. Some people might think this unnecessary but the extra flexability could be usefull in certain situations. Thanks again for this great mod, I'll be putting it to use thoroughly.

The filter behaves like a conveyor belt. Which makes sense to me.

But if you use BetaGenericAutoCrafter, i am not sure because not tested, but I think they will work with the filters. If I have time, I will test it.

I thought about it for a long time and finally decided against it. It would be a lot of work and in the end you only save one hopper. Many machines also need several items and then you need hoppers again. It's just not worth it.
FLN1 25 Dec, 2018 @ 12:35pm
Woops, forgot about that, my bad. Any chance these will work with machines soon, instead of just belts and hoppers? These filters already make designs smaller and easier so I'm not complaining (they're so useful!), I'm just curious.
