It's funny to me that I came here to warn everyone about the Anima Tree being cut down by this mod in my playthrough and all the comments for the last 9 months are about it. <3 Thanks for your mod, but I have to remove it until I don't play with the Anima Tree anymore.

Ended up having to remove this mod. If the Anima tree is in a courtyard, surrounded by walls, the mod attempts to cut it. Any change to the items in the courtyard makes it attempt to select it for cutting again. Took me an age to isolate it down to this mod, but can easily replicate the results now.

very useful. but it shouldnt cut plants when you place conduits on top of them. also it would be useful if it didnt set the anima tree to be cut ever.

try making sure the no roof zone is on before walling up the tree....ive used this mod for a long time and still don't have any issues

I have the same problem as femoral2. Planting a gauranlen tree in a walled in location will mark it for cutting,

I disabled all of my other mods to make sure there was no mod conflict and it still does it.

Do not wall your anima or gauranlen with this mod!, Any change to the perimeter (like mining) will mark these trees to cut.

Is there a version of this where instead of cutting trees they are marked for extraction instead?

This mod cause indoor (unroofed) trees to be cut automatically.
Even if you have designated remove roof area, anima or gauranlen tree build indoor will get cut.

I had to remove the mod because of this otherwise it's neat

hi from what i remember, if a builder (with low plant yield skills) does cutting/harvesting, they produce less resources then a dedicated plant person usually too, (although that might have been when also using some other mods which give grass and hay when you cut/harvest plants)

I'm also pretty sure this is causing my Anima tree to be cut down whenever I build something near it, even if it's not roofed.

@H11F It designates the plant to be cut as soon as the blueprint is placed, rather than only being cut when someone starts building on that tile. This allows your plant cutters to to cut it down while your constructor is working on a different area. It also means that your 15 plants gardener can cut it down in 1/15th the time as your 0 plants constructor.

I have a 11x11 unroofed room with an anima tree in the middle. I think this is the mod that keeps putting chop down order on the anima tree every tick. I unroofed the walls as well and it still does this.

Just curious - how is this mod different from vanilla? I have always had this mod, but recently decided to do some very vanilla play through. When I lay down a blueprint, if there is say a tree in the way, resources are delivered and the tree is cut and then they build. How does this mod change that behaviour?

@Sarai I had never even considered tilling the soil while I had growing crops. I don't know why the mod would allow that in the first place.

Could you make it so this doesnt work on growing zones? When my pawns till soil with Vanilla Farming Extended they cut the crops :(

Hello,

Small issue where tree cutting for buildings is handled by the builder pawn, who may have a plants skill of 0 and spend all day on a few trees. I'm *fairly* sure builders will attempt to cut the trees even if not assigned to plant cutting work.

Can we add a mod option that plant cutting is not assigned to construction pawns?

Lost and Gauranlen tree several times now. I turn off auto felling mode and every time I load the save it is enabled again. I love this mod, but this is super annoying.

Pretty annoying that it spams designates trees to be cut in rooms even if there is no roof that's planned on being built. Lost my anima tree when I built a room around it for a second dining area and after I manual canceled the plant cut order.

Perhaps behind the scenes it's assuming room + floor = need all the plants inside removed.

This was causing my pawns to constantly try to chop down my anima tree as though it were in the way of a building. But, nothing was ordered to be built on it, only near it. This could be similar to hellcat's issue- aside from the wall I built around it, I also built a small dining room, with a floor.

I noticed a small bug where, I built a room, put hydroponics in it, planted the hydroponics, and then cued up a floor to be built, at which point all the plants in the hydroponics were designated to be cut. I don't know if there is a way this can be fixed, other than just toggling the auto felling off before putting in floors in the future, or if it is due to some other mod I have that is messing with it in some way, but, I thought I would throw that out there

@nhatanh0475 - by using this mod it will have the people designated to work on "Plant Cut" go cut the stuff down instead of the person performing "Construction". This will allow your Construction workers to focus on what they are good at instead of stopping to cut down trees.

Oh sorry! Yeah I did, this wasn't the only mod that wasn't working for me. I found out the problem between them all was probably the Vanilla Furniture Expanded mods. Moving them to the very bottom of my list fixed all the issues I was having.
