Unfortunately, I can't seem to use this mod with my group of mods. How disappointing.

@infrequentLurker and if you happen to be using RPG Stats, they might be digging it pretty fast
infrequentLurker 10 Oct, 2020 @ 7:44pm
Minor exploit, may be fixed in more recent version? Build a hydro pump, wait for its radius to expand. Any time you terraform a soil tile to marsh within the pump's AoE, it yields 2 piles of dirt, then the pump instantly reverts it back to a soil tile. Infinite dirt, dirt cheap, as fast as your constructors can dig it up.

Does this mod update hydroponic basins to require fertilizer?
Emelio Lizardo 6 Jun, 2020 @ 10:38am
Why is everything out of date? These are important mods.
Nathanese 23 Mar, 2020 @ 7:18am
@majoran: Can`t help you with this but I really would like to see this mod in his old greatness in 1.1.
Moja 23 Mar, 2020 @ 6:11am
Can someone point me to the sources for fertile fields 1.0?. I want to create a fork of it - the current 1.1 version has to much changes for me, that i dont like.
legomanmansfield2 8 Mar, 2020 @ 1:36pm
When will we be able to use animals like yaks and muffalo to help plow fields? That would be really cool, and would seriously help with larger farms!
Mr. Mauer (Mollari) 4 Mar, 2020 @ 11:38pm
And Other RF mods aswell
Mr. Mauer (Mollari) 3 Mar, 2020 @ 1:16am
unlikly, a similiar mod is rimcuisine combine with till the fields or something but thats just for farming and tilling no terraforming here <3
Mortagon 2 Mar, 2020 @ 4:52pm

so first of all, he surely didnt just "abondened" a awesome mod like that. Maiby some of you complaining think about that he has ;terraforming mods, storyteller mods, fishing mods, mods for different behaviour of pawn, mods for different moods of pawns, mods for therapy, mods for etc, etc...; he has a neverending list of awesome mods and (I think) works almost alone. So maiby you jump in to his position having to update ALL of these mods while know also knowing that tynan is surely with 100% gonne throw out a 1.2 some time breaking everything again. Not that tynan is heartless, but its still his game and he has the right to serve it. So keep calm and patient for him to clear trough ALL his mods and update them, I guess this one just has a lower priority
White 1 Mar, 2020 @ 5:54am
#1 Terraforming mod, hope to see it get 1.1! :)
Mr. Mauer (Mollari) 1 Mar, 2020 @ 3:30am
read the fkin description and look at the date last updated, even in this comment tab you can look to the right, RIMWORLD 1.0 and someones askin derpmode if this is 1.1 ppl these days are like zero effort how can you keep calm facing this ignorance <3

This questions...
Øswald 28 Feb, 2020 @ 10:45pm
Does this work with 1.1
megacoosboy 26 Feb, 2020 @ 7:27am
I cant actually imagine this game without your mods man.
How can a guy build an underground farm on a tiny island archipeligo while fishing from a bridge without you around?

Your are an amazing modder. Thanks for all you've done.
Das Gespenst 25 Feb, 2020 @ 7:05pm
best mod ever cant wait for the 1.1 version
SweetHart 25 Feb, 2020 @ 7:28am
Same here, I love the fertile fields mod, and the current version (1.0) doesn't work with 1.1 update. Please update.
Lanthrudar 24 Feb, 2020 @ 4:20pm
@Rainbeau Flambe Not sure if you're still around, I hope so since you did great work, but thought ti ask when this may be 1.1 compatible?
Endorenna 21 Feb, 2020 @ 7:52am
Oh, well. Guess I'll download a different terraforming mod. :/ Hope Rainbeau is okay!
Mr-Bandit 20 Feb, 2020 @ 10:56pm
pretty sure this is abandoned now, several issues not addressed for months...
Sir Duncan Idaho 20 Feb, 2020 @ 9:58pm
Please update for 1.1! I get the 'recovered from incompatible or corrupted mod' error with just HugsLib and this loaded.
Richard 16 Feb, 2020 @ 2:22pm
does anybody have a fix for the broken plant scraps?
Endorenna 16 Feb, 2020 @ 11:31am
So... I think I've run into a bug, and I'm stumped.

I've completed the Terraforming research, which clearly has an option in the research tree view of making some other terrain types from mud, among other things. I triple checked, the terraforming research is definitely absolutely completed - but none of the new ground types I'm supposed to be able to craft have appeared in the Terraform tab. I've checked all the other tabs too, can't find them anywhere. Any ideas? (I've also reloaded the order to make sure Fertile Fields was near the top, then loaded an earlier save and re-researched terraforming - still no dice.)
Ryu Yokaze 14 Feb, 2020 @ 3:32am
so I have a mod that changes for the map boarders work, and when I try to turn a large area near/inside where that boarder would be I don't get the 3 tiles for spreading shallow water (sand->shallow water). it seems to quickly switch from viable to not viable when changing the area. other operations don't seem to have that issue.
Bwserknight 13 Feb, 2020 @ 9:31pm
After researching terraforming I still cannot see the ability to turn shallow water into anything else other than deep water.
Mr. Mauer (Mollari) 12 Feb, 2020 @ 12:59pm
Wait no more plant scraps? :D
Mr. Rainger 6 Feb, 2020 @ 1:46pm
For those with Seeds please (tho it could be just convenient for those without) , could there be a recipe where you turn crops and wood into plant scraps? Rather than mess around with the seed drops.
Kafouille 31 Jan, 2020 @ 7:10am
Is there any way to turn packed dirt back into soil ?
The Bard of Hearts 26 Jan, 2020 @ 7:21am
There are a couple of Research Tree mods you can get that will fix this issue for you. Many of them make the tree just better/easier to read anyway. That might help you with this. =D
New_Boot_Goofin' 25 Jan, 2020 @ 10:07pm
Oddly enough, this is incompatible with Fueled Heaters. Because the boxes overlap on the research tree. I literally can't click on the Terraforming rectangle because the Fueled Heaters boxes are in the way.
ESP 24 Jan, 2020 @ 11:16am
Is there a way to get rid of rough stone? I got a map with the only source of water is a river which is cut of by two tiles if rough marble so i cant build water elsewhere
Reedwhisker 24 Jan, 2020 @ 6:04am
bricks are OP. 3 work points per wall is too fast
DragonKing 21 Jan, 2020 @ 12:47pm
Can we get some better compatibility with the alpha biomes and alpha animals mods? :)

For instance, Sand squids from alpha animals produce "fertilized sand" when walking over regular sand, unfortunately, it does not seem like you can terraform it with any "marshy soil -> whatever".
Wrecker013 21 Jan, 2020 @ 11:49am
@tierrehcc - That's intended, in order to turn fertilized topsoil into rich soil, you must deconstruct the soil and terraform the underlying rock into actual soil, as opposed to just topsoil.
tierrehcc 17 Jan, 2020 @ 2:51pm
Can't make fertilised topsoil into rich soil - have an error "rich soil requires terrain that can support: rff fertile soil (upgradable)". It can be built upon normal soil, but not on topsoil of fertilised tipsoil. Is this intended or an error?
Chowder 11 Jan, 2020 @ 1:30pm
Wish this had compatibility with Alpha Biomes. I can't teraform any of them :(
Konstantinos 29 Dec, 2019 @ 10:43pm
I love this mod, and it's been working fine for ages, but I believe it's causing huge lag spikes now. I opened the log and it keeps failing to reference GrowthRateFactor and Fertility, so I assume it is this mod. https://i.imgur.com/L7QZSea.jpg

Anyone encountered this and figured out how to fix it?
automatiik 26 Dec, 2019 @ 9:11pm
I like this mod, but it is a bit much for my taste.
Lurmey 12 Dec, 2019 @ 8:17am
I don't remember if I mentioned this, but it seems that having Ceramics present overwrites this mod's brick walls. Ceramic's brick buildings are just a matt pale-red/pink, while your brick walls, being a separate building, actually look like bricks.
Lurmey 12 Dec, 2019 @ 8:13am
@IronSpartan114; Where do you think you get dirt, sand and clay from? Look around your colony. Look at the ground. It's literally all right there. Dig.
smerthin flop 8 Dec, 2019 @ 2:33am
"Charlotte [author] Jun 24 @ 9:49am
It already works, it's just that the terrain stuff isn't working because they haven't patched the job here. It's not trivial from my side, from their side it's as easy as adding the postfix to my job driver."
smerthin flop 8 Dec, 2019 @ 2:30am
Oh man I wish this was compatible with seeds please, I need plant scraps. :(
"The" SeanMacLeod 5 Dec, 2019 @ 8:30pm
@IronSpartan114
I think it's locked behind the Terraforming research.
I know there's a way to get piles of sand in the Terraforming menu at the start.
IronSpartan114 5 Dec, 2019 @ 8:01pm
"Dirt can be created by mixing sand, clay and fertilizer at a crafting spot. Conversely, piles of dirt can be separated at crafting spots into sand and clay."
um............ok that's great....... but how do you get one or the other to begin with?
- dirt can be made from sand, clay and fertilizer at a crafting spot ✓
- clay and sand can be extracted from dirt ✓

so i can't get dirt without sand and clay to make it................ and i can't get sand and clay without having dirt to breakdown. anyone seeing a problem here?
and yes, you can make sand from stone chunks......... still need clay, need to have both.

............you can make a sandwich with parts of a sandwich, and conversely you can take a sandwich apart into its individual parts. well, that's great but unless i go to the grocery store i don't think a sandwich, or its parts are going to just appear out of no where.
