Poses for All

@storm_kensho
From what I can work out which poses are unlocked seemed to be tied to the weapons the trooper's equipped with, so cannon allows the grenadier ones.

My mistake on the Captured pose. Looking at this .ini, maybe editing it to
+m_arrAnimationPoses=(AnimationName="Photobooth_KidnappedSoldierPoses",AnimationOffset=.25,AnimType=ePAFT_None)
Will enable the pose.
storm_kensho 2 Oct, 2021 @ 7:04pm
Hm. Only Ranger and Specialist poses unlocked for my Ranger. I was also told this pack had the "Captured" pose that triggers when your operative is captured by a Chosen included, but I couldn't find it.
Y. Valerunner 8 Jul, 2021 @ 1:17am
Any news on this?
Diablo1099 27 Apr, 2021 @ 9:19am
@MrCloista: @Djackdau: Has the issue that MrCloista brought up been resolved? Just want to check before I download this. I really want the poses but not the hassle x.x
MrCloista 27 Jul, 2020 @ 3:29pm
@Djackdau the reason people are having issues with the poses not being sorted correctly and having the wrong names, is that you never filled in the xcomgame.int localisation file. I have a version of it fiexed for this mod, if you want to DM me on the modders discord, i will send you the file so you can update the mod.
Djackdau  [author] 29 May, 2020 @ 4:59pm
@PM_Zigg Price: It's unclear exactly how the poses are distributed. I'm using some custom classes of my own, and some of them seem to have poses based on their usable weapons, while some poses are unlocked for all classes, custom and vanilla.
Zigg Price 29 May, 2020 @ 3:18pm
And does successfully give the class specific poses to other classes? For instance, I'm using my RPGO. Will I have the sniper and ranger and grenadier and specialist ones, again?
Djackdau  [author] 29 May, 2020 @ 5:17am
@PM_Zigg Price

I have been unable to reproduce the compatibility issues people have mentioned. The pose pack works fine for me.
Dragon32 28 May, 2020 @ 6:11pm
@PM_Zigg Price
I used this with Community Pose Pack in my last campaign, no issues.
Zigg Price 28 May, 2020 @ 11:43am
Community Pose Pack lists an incompatibility with this one. Has that been confirmed? I see you mention earlier that you are able to use both.
Slackboy101 23 Mar, 2020 @ 1:22pm
I'm doing a clean reinstall now, must have been something on my end
Djackdau  [author] 23 Mar, 2020 @ 5:59am
@_b1ack0out: Some people have reported that poses are sorted in the wrong order, or labeled with the wrong names.

@j2deline: Unfortunately I'm not currently able to investigate how this interacts with other mods and custom classes.

@Slackboy101: No compatibility patch is planned. I'm using the Community Pose Pack with no issues. What problems are you seeing?
Slackboy101 22 Mar, 2020 @ 11:21pm
So when will this get a compatability patch with the community Pose pack?
Badger 18 Feb, 2020 @ 9:48pm
Using Long War Perk Pack and Classes; the Grenadier and Specialist get specialist and reaper poses but no others.
_b1ack0ut 5 Jan, 2020 @ 5:22pm
When you say that "some people have reported serious problems". what sort of problems are we talking here?
Pspritechologist 16 Dec, 2019 @ 11:19am
Any have any idea if anyone else has uploaded the fix yet?
Djackdau  [author] 16 Dec, 2019 @ 5:32am
No ETA, although I still intend to get it done. I have yet to take a look at the localization and find the lines that Encrypt is referring to.
Pspritechologist 15 Dec, 2019 @ 3:14pm
I was hoping for that, too. With RPG Overhaul, it'd be really nice to still have the Class specific poses you miss out on
MrCloista 15 Dec, 2019 @ 2:59pm
Any eta on that fix?
Djackdau  [author] 1 Sep, 2019 @ 12:08pm
@Encrypt
I'm not sure when I'll be able to update, but I'll try for early next week. Feel free to upload if you prefer that, though.
Encrypt 30 Aug, 2019 @ 7:10am
@Djackdau
I found a potential fix / solution (still playtesting, but so far it looks good) for the compatibility issues that this mod has with other mods that add Photobooth poses (like Musashi's Ballistic Shield or the community pose pack) when I rewrote it for my own use from scratch with the goal to fix that problem.
Do you want to implement the fix yourself into your mod (The only thing that really changed compared to your mod is the localisation file where I basically removed the name assignment of all poses and added them again) or would you prefer if I publish my rewrite while giving credit to you?
Delta-118 7 Aug, 2019 @ 6:39pm
I got the poses out of sync with the labels. Can anyone recommend a fix?
I am using the community pose pack and Musashi's Ballistic Shield.
Dragon32 17 Jun, 2019 @ 8:17am
@Sheriff of Nothingham:
I'm using this and the Community Pose Pack without issues. I don't use the shield mod though.
The Former 16 Jun, 2019 @ 12:20pm
UPDATE: I suspect it MAY have to do with Musashi's Ballistic Shield. A bunch of Shield-specific poses are listed here, but the poses themselves aren't available. My guess is that they're causing a database desync from pose to name.
The Former 16 Jun, 2019 @ 12:18pm
Scratch that, now that I really dig, lots of stuff is out of order and not all the poses seem to be listed. No blank spots, just that a lot of the class-specific poses don't seem to be here, and some of my poses (like the Hands On Hips poses) are mislabeled now.
The Former 16 Jun, 2019 @ 11:51am
This is like a year after all the big discussions, but I just wanna say that with a config regen, this seems to work perfectly for me alongside the community pose pack, More Photobooth Quotes, and RPG Overhual + a ton of RPGO plugins.
jackoftrades222 11 Nov, 2018 @ 8:54am
For me, I have a custom class that has Templar abilities. My character gets the shield and jumping animation but nothing else. I have other classes can’t remember which ones but they get the double Psi Swords even though they don’t have Templar abilities or weapons equipped.
Stormhawk938 2 Nov, 2018 @ 6:35am
I honestly don't mind the fact that the names are out of order, because the mod still does what it promises. I love this mod! Thanks for making this!
Dragon32 25 Oct, 2018 @ 1:51pm
@Cyber Von Cyberus:
If by "reset my TLP campaign" you mean regenerate your .ini config files then yes.
Cyber Von Cyberus 25 Oct, 2018 @ 1:44pm
Okay, so if I simply reset my TLP campaign, this should work since I don't have any incompatible mods ?
Cato 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:26pm
No problen, I've been sanity checking my own mods & mod load this week looking for issues and I want to use this one! TLP appears to have broken/changed very little, except for the new main menu code and possibly soundtrack hooks.
Cato 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:22pm
I have added your mod as 'Compatible' on More Photobooth Quotes. :D:

I would recommend you start tracking user reports of compatible mods on your description page. The mods below worked for me with your mod on a new campaign.

WotC: More Photobooth Options
Propaganda Poster Pack
Richard's Classes
Disable Random Posters
More Photobooth Quotes
Djackdau  [author] 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:19pm
@Cato Heresy: Thank you very much for taking the time to do those tests, it's a great help! I'll include that information in the mod summary so people will know what to look out for.
Cato 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:07pm
*** Likely Cause No.2 ***
The user is attempting to use this mod on an existing pre-TLP campaign.
Ask them to try a new campaign (and refresh their ini's) and see if the issue resolves.

*** Likely Cause No.3 ***
The user is attempting to use this alongside WC_PhotoReBooth.
That mod is incompatible with most other Photobooth mods due to how script heavy it is (including my own Photobooth Quotes mod).
Cato 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:07pm
Checked over your content script - it all looks fine.

Stress tested the mod by installing it on a post-TLP campaign in-mission with Richard's custom classes and many Photobooth mods.

Works perfectly for me. I have three theories why it is causing issues for some people.

*** Like Cause No.1 ***
The user has not regenerated their .ini config files since TLP hit. They need to do this.
johnbarbosa 19 Oct, 2018 @ 2:46pm
Thanks for the info! great mod BTW.
Dragon32 17 Oct, 2018 @ 3:59pm
@Djackdau:
I refreshed my config files (using -regenerateinis) and it worked fine.
Djackdau  [author] 17 Oct, 2018 @ 3:05pm
@Dragon32: The code line you mentioned shouldn't make any difference either way, but I'll try removing it regardless. Glad to hear the mod is working for you. Did you see the issue in your game at all, or did things work well from the get-go?

@Johnbarbosa: The pose is called "Captured". I chose not to unlock that one because it looked like doing so might interfere with the game's ability to generate posters for when your soldiers get caught by the Chosen.
Dragon32 17 Oct, 2018 @ 2:44pm
And just completed a couple of TLP missions, able to use the extra poses fine when creating posters there, poses matched up with pose names etc.
ATF_Coldblooded Carebear || 17 Oct, 2018 @ 2:13pm
@johnbarbosa isn't that the one call capture in the list of pose (unless there been a patch to fix the previously issue) it should be 5 pose down from the pose name "Capture")
johnbarbosa 17 Oct, 2018 @ 11:41am
Hi, If I may request, there's a pose and a poster from Mox when he gets abducted, hands tied in the back on on his knees, I will like to know if that's possible to have that pose in a future update.
Thank you so much.
Dragon32 17 Oct, 2018 @ 11:08am
Loaded up an save from a pre-DLP campaign (just finished Lost & Abandoned). I was able to assign all sorts of poses to my troopers, all poses seemed to match their names. No weirdness.
I'd used the -regenerateinis switch to refresh my Config s before hand.
Imp 17 Oct, 2018 @ 9:09am
Can I make my spark unit a deformed mess riding a muton? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Arkhangel 16 Oct, 2018 @ 6:04pm
@Dragon: there are a few highlander based mods that make custom poses though, so having this build into that means it's a lot less likely for them to clash with this one.
ATF_Coldblooded Carebear || 16 Oct, 2018 @ 3:59pm
oh and a other thing when using the pose high five and bonded the distance are not as close enough for the pose being as effective
ATF_Coldblooded Carebear || 16 Oct, 2018 @ 3:38pm
from what i can determine is that the five last "blank" slate at the end are the new pose from the latest DLC ... if you notice that the pose name is not the one that show and the real pose is 5 pose down from it's real name

exemple:
pose name: hand on hips 1
pose shown: over the shoulder ( 5 above pose name)
real pose under: thumb up ( 5 below pose name)

hope that help
Dragon32 16 Oct, 2018 @ 3:04pm
This looks like .ini edits only, so I really can't see the Highlander helping out any.

If you're having problems try refreshing your configs.

@Djackdau:
I did notice this at the top of the XComContent.ini
PhotoboothPostProcessChainName=XComEngineMaterials.PostProcess.PostProcess_Photobooth

It's not in the usual remove or add a line format. Maybe that's messing with stuff..?
Djackdau  [author] 16 Oct, 2018 @ 2:33pm
I'll see what can be done. For the moment, I'm putting a warning in the description, and I'd like to apologize to all of you affected by it. Might have to take the whole thing down. Have you tried uninstalling this and verifying your cache to see if that'll give you the pose list back, at least?
Arkhangel 16 Oct, 2018 @ 1:57pm
Several modded classes here, and the highlander.

might be a good idea to join the modder's discord. You'd be able to find out what's up. Generally issues like this don't happen if you can get functionality built into the Highlander for ya.

or at least ask some of the coders about it, like robojumper or RealityMachina.
Cocoanut 16 Oct, 2018 @ 1:11pm
RPGo with a few additions. But that's just for me. And also, I counted. Seek and Destroy was 19 lower than the text said. :/
