Load of great welsh leaders to chose from Llywelyn ap Gruffudd ( Prince of Wales ), Madog ap Llywelyn ( Prince of Wales ), Owain Glyndwr ( Prince of Wales ), Hywel Dda ( Welsh King ), Rodri Mawr ( Welsh King ), The Lord Rhys ( Ruler of dehaubarth ), Owain Lawgoch ( Claimant to the throne of wales ), Llywelyn ab Iorwerth ( Prince of Wales ) but if there is one i'd like to see is our national hero Owain Glyndwr.

Is this leader compatible w/ Gathering Storm? I've been playing Wales but I notice some unexpected low yields as I don't experience playing other civs.

Is anyone else having issues with the Caer district's ranged strike? I have played a few games as Wales and have not been able to use a ranged strike with the Caer. Maybe I am misunderstanding how the district works?

I think Rhodri Mawr might be a good alternative can have unqiue bonuses related to fighting off viking invasions, or Owain Glyndwr who could have a very different guerilla type bonuses

When I tried to play this in Heroes & Legends mode I did not receive Heroic Tales.

@Euspa yeah I don't think he was serious. And like I said; no.

Oh and quaint mod, thanks mod-maker!

@yellowboy06 If you're interested in moving to another country, consider what you offer the country by your addition. Are you educated? Do you have any valuable skills? How invested are you in the culture? Dych chi'n dysgu Cymraeg? The laws of the UK aren't particularly forgiving when it comes to permanent residence, but you could find yourself with a visa to work there semi-permanently if you're serious about it. Food for thought.

Do you have any plans for a new alternative leader for Wales at any point?

Unfortunately your mod doesn't work for me, I don't know why. Is weird white on all your mods.

Hi sorry I'm sure you must be getting bugged about this a lot but is there a reason why your Rule with Faith mod got removed from steam? Enjoyed this leader a lot btw thanks for all the good work

If you're looking for another possible leader for Wales I'd suggest Madog ap Llywelyn. He was a distant relation of Llywelyn ap Gruffudd and a great rebel leader. He managed to push back English occupying forces in Wales and even overran a number of huge English castles, including Edward I's prized castle Caernarfon. You could make him a leader in the same vein as Ethiopia, gaining bonuses to combat in his own territory as well as loyalty bonuses when at war if you want to include Rise and Fall. For a unique unit I'd suggest the Teulu to replace the Knight. Slightly weaker in both defence and damage but because they used their lances as javelins they can use a 1-hex ranged attack (the same distance as the MachineGun, rather than an archer). If a unique improvement was needed too a Ringwork could be good. A small wood and earthen stockade that could offer +1 production and +1 adjacency bonus to any neigbouring district but can only be built on hills.

I know it's a bit of a lengthy suggestion but I love your Civilisation mods and I think it'd be great to see more civilisations that encourage a defensive playstyle and don't have a definitive win condition.

Thanks for reading!

How about Owain Glyndwr as an alternate leader?
Deliverator23 17 Oct, 2018 @ 2:39am
You have a typo in the thumbnail and title here: the correct spelling is Llywelyn. Llywelyn ap Gruffudd might be a good alt but you'd have to change this guy's name to Llywelyn the Great or Llywelyn ap Iorwerth.

Yes. Wales is the only civ I can't find a good alternate leader to do yet but as I'm seperating them I'm planning to release an additional alt to choose from. This way if you don't agree with having Mussolini in the game you're not forced to if you also want Italy. And yes, the unit has been fixed.

I'm guessing the separation of leader and its civilization is so that we can easily pick the precise leaders we want to have? Not sure if that's why the base Wales requires an alternate leader mod but that's a cool benefit.

Is that unique ranged unit bug fixed? The one where it got like 10 attack range?
