Unfortunately, I'm no longer actively modding these days due to life, so I'm unable to be of much help or add to my mod.
You are correct though, this mod only targets specific items and doesn't touch anything else. Really, all that was involved was changing the path of the referenced glass material for these specific items, and making sure the game loads to edited items instead of the default ones.
This may be a dumb question, but are female eyelashes built into the character models, or are they some kind of accessory attachment, like hair? I'm wondering because the flickering bug has been around for ages, and if female eyelashes could be hidden (like hair) when wearing helmets & face props, then that would *finally* solve this problem. The flickering eyelashes bug has been driving me crazy for YEARS lol.
I just can't thank you enough.
Also, what mod you used that have thaat helmet on the images. Thanks in advance.
Aka the vanilla glass material in my mod is only contained in my .upk. So if another mod appears to have used the vanilla glass, perhaps the author added the material from vanilla XCOM 2 on their own. I think that's more likely. Otherwise I have no clue lol
I'm real busy these days, so I'll have to find another time to follow up on that E3245 mod later.
There is one with an orange visor where the removed dithering is especially noticible.
Can you point me to one of these mods?
I think it's best to make your request to Capnbubs. I'm not interested in editing mods belonging to someone else. Sorry,
I know, right?? I wasn't able to find any master override, but I think you can just copy and paste the base game .upk files into the WOTC content folder to do the same thing, but that isn't much of a mod lol
For everyone asking for Capnbubs compatbility, I'm assuming you want this mod to change the look of those glass materials as well? I think the only person that can do that is Capnbubs. My changes aren't able to override the materials that mod references.
