@Zanoscar & zadenzeal - This mod was only to resolve visual problems (pre Rimworld 1.2) like the description above says

@Zanoscar - You likely have to test it (but with CSL in Rimworld 1.2, see the link above), the mods have a lot of overlap and so they might cause problems - it is normally recommened to only let one of the mods handle pregnancies, so you could deactivate them in the CSL mod-options and then only use it for the scaling of alien children (it is possible that it can be configured to work, but I am not to sure)

@zadenzeal - CSL (link above) does with the 'Mixed species allowed' option on (should be by default)

Probably been asked but does this work with Children & Pregnancy? It's a mod on the Ludeon forums, not steam.

@I'm here to kick gum - lol ^^ it is actually not that bad, but making them older through a mod like [KV] or dev tools is probably easier because you can mess stuff up (that mod at least) if you are not careful (but you can also unsub/resub to the mod worst case, updates also overwrite your changes, but sounds like that would not be an issue with your old version - maybe)

'Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1654061947\1.2\Defs\AlienRace\' 'BetaCamelRace.xml' etc.

at the end of the file you would change this part:

@I'm here to kick gum - Worst case you can try to disable the mod-option 'Fertility from life stage' or 'Fertility from old age' - after a quick look I think they have a pretty late adult life stage 16 and 18 years for example (base/camel) you could try to edit that in the beta humanoids mod files '..\Defs\AlienRaceBetaCamelRace.xml' etc. 'lifeStageAges' Adult.. minAge or make them older though mods like '[KV] change dresser' etc.

@odtali did you try turning scaling off on the children learning mod? that mod makes children's pawn sprite extra small. maybe its too aggressive for some races.

@odtali - At least Revia and Astoriel seem ok at age 0 and up for me in a test, maybe it is another mod influencing it, does the error say anything specific? You could post a modlist here:

@Dylan I've noticed ratkins, dragonians, revias, and astorials. I don't think they're just small either since they create some exception errors in the log.

@General Phanter - No problem ^^ I haven't played RW in a while myself (I think it may also be a general modding thing, where you get to involved in modding and can no longer fully sit back and just 'play' the game, kind of the game becoming 'work')
But I hope to start a game now with the 1.2 update settled down ^^

@NatureRowan - No problem ^^ finding a solution that works together with the other visual mods was long overdue and I finally got the right inspiration while updating the mod to 1.2.

Let me know if you see anything strange with it, but it seemed to work ok so far for me ^^
(I haven't really played with Pawnmorpher myself in a game before)

I just updated the main mod and if you have the old scaling option and the "new scaling mode" enabled (the new mode should be on by default) it should now show the AlienRaces children with their tails etc. in the right place (there are still some minor issues [slightly wrong positions of ears etc. for some I am looking into], but this way a lot of the other visual mods also work ok)

So you should no longer need this mod for Rimworld 1.2 (If some issues come up that can't get resolved in the main-mod I might have to make a new version - let me know I you see weird things and if some of the outstanding issues got resolved with the new scaling mode)

I figure I would let you know that when facing left/west with the Cutebold race mod, the ears appear mirrored and in front of the pawn on the children. This may be related to the Leeani race's tail issue.

I do want to say thanks for the hard work on getting alien races working without the player or alien race authors having to patch compatibility in! I was happy to see the little ‘bolds running about without having to create some sort of special patch to get the ears and tails in the right spots.

Pawnmorpher parts don't show up on children. I'm not sure which mod would be most capable of fixing that issue though.

@DuckMints - This mod is only for visual things, it should not be involved in generating new ones / you don`t need it for that

@DiESF1RST - There might be some old stuff in there, I really need to update the mod .. but it should be fine, does it not let you add the mod?

@Vinlic - I am not aware of any changes - maybe try to check the Rimworld files with Steam and unsubscribe close Steam and resubscribe to the mod - sometimes there is some weirdness with the Steam workshop

Not sure what happened and maybe this is just a random issue on my end but thought id report it just in case but when I loaded up the game just now I got an error saying there were no files found in the folder for this mod and that it was removed but im still subscribed to it and I haven't messed with the files.

@STERN - I am not sure what you mean exactly, but the main mod has an option to show you the species dialog on birth to choose yourself

@Dutchglorius & pumacatrun2 - I haven't had a look at that mod yet, the AlienRaces-Framework has quite some stuff in the main mod to make it work OK, but I don't think it can't be that bad, they still have to be normal races (I will check it out when I have the time) (At least someone in the main mod did have possible issues with it, so I don't think it really is a good idea right now)

I'd highly doubt it Dutch. This mod wouldn't touch on anything like Garam. Their mods are very incompatible with other mods.

@velcroboy333 - The Lizardmen tails should now be ok for children
@other problems - I am still looking into it + will check on stuff when more mods get to 1.1

@velcroboy333 - Ok thanks ^^ yeah I am not yet 100% sure how to improve this in the new version so that it can be user defined, but currently corrections are needed for specific species like this one for example which has none yet - it is a good test as well

I have mostly been ignoring it but my Lizard man kid's tail is all wonky. When he's facing forward the tail comes out of the top and side of the cell, not attached to his body at all.

I just figured I'd mention it since you said you'd be mucking around with the mod.

@ytheadaptor - I hope it get's fixed with my next rework of this mod, otherwise we would have to take a deeper look at it then - I hope to make the mod a bit more configurable on a species-basis as well with it

yo, coming to report some issues I have
I'm working on an alien race, and for some reason, some body addons get reversed left and right with child pawns, and most times, the z layer is fixed (eg: something in the front, will always be in the front). It fixes that once the pawn is considered 'adult'
hope we can work something out, this is a great addon o3o
