@ozfresh There is another version from son1C that is built for compatibility with regrowth. It is still in 1.4 but I did ask the mod author and he said it should work fine.
ozfresh 23 Apr, 2024 @ 6:59am
Hi! does this work with regrowth core? Thanks!

@chulu..."Yeah its definitely something someone has to do with a mod though because vanilla Rimworld doesn't even scorch the soil like that."
You (someone?) could just darken the ash the game already leaves after a fire.

Cool with me, I just prefer it to look like dirt because I plant crops on rich soil.
Wanderer 30 Oct, 2022 @ 7:54pm
well I made what I wanted and since I have a rimworld collection friends use I uploaded it as well. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2882370602 I credited you since it uses your darker version texture for the rich soil. If it bothers you let me know and ill delete it. Thanks for the greenworld mods they are great.

Was on the fence about the og one, but this lite one is really nice. Thank you!
This should help brighten up my world.

@Ogam doesnt hit me much. The big hiiters are how much pawns, items and animals are in your colony
Ogam 31 Jul, 2021 @ 10:22am
Hit a lot on TPS and FPS
doshwopitout 27 Jul, 2021 @ 10:02pm
Do you think you could add an option to disable this in certain biomes?
NoctisTheBogWitch 16 Jul, 2021 @ 7:53am
Actually, in real life tundras do have grass, its like... the cold version of an arid shrubland.
chuiu  [author] 3 Nov, 2020 @ 6:47am
I'm not sure about using their code, but I made a small update so that if you load my mod after Gloomydeco then my mod will change their grass texture to use mine.

Gloomy Deco has a code to change green ground by season. You could ask them if you can steal the code. I do not want to use their mod cause you have better graphics. And maybe they help you with coding burned ground.
chuiu  [author] 10 Oct, 2020 @ 5:57pm
Yeah its definitely something someone has to do with a mod though because vanilla Rimworld doesn't even scorch the soil like that.

@chulu

This mod is amazing!! Makes nature so beautiful!!

But the ground keeps its green even if it has been burned by wildfire. Which is even more unforgivable than green deserts. This mod convinced me many times I have a forest behind my base despite everything has been burned. I cannot use this mod anymore unless someone finds a way to change ground color only if surrounding a plant. That could solve both problems.

Fair enough :)
chuiu  [author] 3 Sep, 2020 @ 5:45pm
I left rich soil dark brown because its typically where people want to plant their crops. And it makes more sense for crops to be planted in something that looks like soil rather than grass.
Cyclic 3 Sep, 2020 @ 2:24pm
Would like to use this as I hate all the brown! But having rich soil brown while normal soil is green seems wierd. Should be other way around, richer soil is greener. If you plan to update or adjust, an adjustment for how green each soil should be tinted would be nice too. Thanks!

Yes
Mothmeat 28 Apr, 2020 @ 12:00am
Is this fine to remove from saves?
chuiu  [author] 23 Feb, 2020 @ 7:44pm
Yes
Yorick 21 Feb, 2020 @ 12:54pm
can this be used on an existing save?
Level E 6 Feb, 2020 @ 6:41pm
Thank you for answering, sorry I didn't notice sooner ! This mod is amazing I can't imagine playing this game without it now
chuiu  [author] 19 Nov, 2019 @ 9:08pm
If you have any other terrain altering mods I would load this after those. Otherwise It can go anywhere.
Level E 19 Nov, 2019 @ 3:51pm
It looks amazing ! Where should it go in the mod load order ?
Nate072 14 May, 2019 @ 6:10pm
I figured it out, this mod needs to be loaded before High Quality Textures.
Looks good!
chuiu  [author] 14 May, 2019 @ 4:06pm
Are you sure its this mod? All the mod does is replace 3 textures in the game. They have the same resolution as the original textures but are slightly larger file size. There's no reason your fps should go from 144 to 20.
Nate072 13 May, 2019 @ 6:23pm
So this drops my FPS from 144 to ~20. Any idea why that is?
Soy Story 22 Jan, 2019 @ 2:35am
Any chance of a before after for this? I know i can check in-game, but i was just thinking for others that come to these mods and are unable to determine the difference initially and to see the impact. Awesome mod :)
Nightwalker 7 Nov, 2018 @ 1:28pm
Looks nice, good stuff dude
Noxin 7 Nov, 2018 @ 7:46am
This makes arid areas just sand and lush grass...
Audiopulse 19 Oct, 2018 @ 6:33pm
Thats alright - its still a good idea!

I was just being curious
chuiu  [author] 19 Oct, 2018 @ 3:29pm
The mod is just a texture change, theres no fancy coding work in the background to do anything like show burnt textures after a fire, sorry!
Audiopulse 19 Oct, 2018 @ 11:17am
I asume forest-fires dont touch this, right?
jpinard 18 Oct, 2018 @ 6:41pm
Ohhh this is nice!!!
