The mod should still work on the current version. i don't play Rimworld anymore, but i can flag this mod as 1.5-compatible if people confirm it runs without issues.

Given it's only an XML patch operation, it's likely it still works. I didn't test it, and it does use a success always tag which would suppress errors during those operations, but there's nothing in 1.4 that suggests a ranged cooldown factor has gone the way of the dodo. I'm writing this less for the author, and more for random people who ask for 1.4 updates but don't really understand what makes a mod compatible or incompatible with a new RimWorld version.

And to answer your question, Absynth, this will almost certainly not work with Combat Extended; they change the mechanics so drastically that i expect that these states are either entirely unused or very different under the hood.

@Realm Imp Below what on the mod order? Generally speaking, this can go anywhere, but if a mod patches the same locations you should put this below that one if you want this one to override the other or above it for the opposite situation.

I dont even use Yayos Combat anymore until it gets a proper update and some fixes. Meanwhile this mod is a MUST HAVE.

i dont see any errors but when i check weapon stats, the cooldown is constantly changing in the ui. ever seen this before?

hmmm i think i understand the idea, that might be above my pay grade. I just started deleting and changing numbers a few days ago. just playing around. I am confused because all that I can find is a quality modifier that multiplies "melee damage" which to me looks like it just multiplies the damage and armor pen of all the attacks of a weapon. but i dont understand how or where they are linked and where to mess with it. Am i correct in thinking that the idea is to make a rule or a patch that removes the StatPart_Quality from armor penetration? or vice versa? using the linked code as an example? maybe i would need to actually learn something to figure it out idk.

do you know of a way to mod rimworld so that weapon armor penetration is separate from quality modifier? Or of a way to set a cap on a weapon attacks armor penetration? Trying to tweak base game to values that i think make more sense but having legendary items get 1.5x armor pen is making things difficult.

Any help appreciated thanks

@30°C You can do this easily by opening it up in XML. There's no reason to overcomplicate the mod and increase loading times for everyone just to do this.
