at a guess - probably works, yeah. Tynan/Ludeon doesn't have a lot of reason to change how floors work this late in the game.

a version mismatch warning is likely the worst you'll see. if there's a more serious error, let me know and I'll take a look.
Peter Kitsuné 11 Jul @ 10:39am
Does it work in 1.6?
Esse Coisa  [author] 15 Jan @ 3:09pm
Appreciate that, Mlie, for I am unfortunately too lazy to go in and update the mod to "work" with new versions.

If Ludeon changes something in how floors work, I'll probably consider updating - until then, please bear with the version mismatch warning or use Mlie's mod :lunar2019piginablanket:

Since this mod has been reported working in 1.5 I added it to the No Version Warning-mod

Soon, probably.
Stellar ❤️💙💛 7 Jul, 2024 @ 11:43am
1.5 please
Fedeh 22 Jun, 2024 @ 2:39pm
Hello, any toughts on 1.5 update? or at least adjusting it so the "Mod and game version missmatch" dissapears?
Esse Coisa  [author] 26 Oct, 2022 @ 4:22pm
I've 'updated' the mod to point at the newer versions, though I should note that it's probably unnecessary and this will likely work with future Rimworld updates without any effort on my part.
Esse Coisa  [author] 21 Aug, 2021 @ 12:51pm
Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay, I will try to get this working with the latest update. Unless something has changed with flooring, this should work with only minimal modification. I'll try to get that done in the next week!
multiplayer_rocks 7 Aug, 2021 @ 12:05pm
Works fine for 1.3 at least for me as is
Safari Mesh 30 Jul, 2021 @ 9:26pm
This work for 1.3?
Esse Coisa  [author] 23 Aug, 2020 @ 2:37pm
Sorry for the wait, this mod now works with 1.2!
Esse Coisa  [author] 11 Jun, 2020 @ 1:47am
I've updated the mod according to Yagiou's suggestion and while it seemed to work fine in new games, I haven't been able to test it with old saves. Let me know if there are any issues!
Esse Coisa  [author] 7 Jun, 2020 @ 3:28pm
Got it! I'll implement that soon, thanks for the tip!
Oniwabanshu 5 Jun, 2020 @ 6:07pm
I forgot to tell you could just name the abstract whatever you want, just don't name it after a core abstract, make it unique to prevent someone using the same name by coincidence.
Oniwabanshu 5 Jun, 2020 @ 11:28am
When you copy an abstract from core into your mod, the game stops using the base game version with yours (it gets overwritten), yours is some versions outdated, so now every other mod that depends on the base game unaltered file will be using your outdated version instead.
Esse Coisa  [author] 5 Jun, 2020 @ 12:54am
Uhhhh... why?

I will update this to add more colors... but things have gotten a little crazy at work. Please bear with me!
Esse Coisa  [author] 15 Apr, 2020 @ 10:46pm
No worries! Thanks for the feedback :lunar2019piginablanket:
Xyvern 15 Apr, 2020 @ 7:13am
yeah they work, sorry about the delay there
Esse Coisa  [author] 10 Apr, 2020 @ 4:10pm
I've updated Caution tiles and these *should* count as floors for your throne rooms once more. If anyone would like to confirm that, I would be much obliged!
Xyvern 9 Apr, 2020 @ 3:49pm
sweet, thanks. i still cant get a floor pattern in my throne room that i like lmao
Esse Coisa  [author] 8 Apr, 2020 @ 6:42pm
Hmmm. I'll have to get a copy of Royalty's Terrain_Defs file to know what changes to make. I'll see if I can dig one up!
Xyvern 7 Apr, 2020 @ 5:38am
honestly i just liked the combo of yellow, green, blue and red, but they werent counting as valid flooring- concrete works but they dont
Esse Coisa  [author] 7 Apr, 2020 @ 1:47am
That, and more/brighter colors :steamhappy:
Esse Coisa  [author] 7 Apr, 2020 @ 1:40am
Royalty's throne room will need "fine" floors as far as I know, and I haven't given these tiles the necessary "FineFloor" tag. Not much more than a steel tile painted with a pattern, I pictured these as something you Gamers might use to mark the boundaries of your orbital beacons, or drop-pod launchers, or pillboxes, etc - very industrial and not so 'royal.' That will probably remain the case unless there's something game-breaking I'm not seeing.

That said, caution-striped gold and silver floors sound pretty decent actually - might as well get some striped sterile tiles in there while I'm thinking about it. I can't give you any kind of timetable right now but that will be the next update you see to this mod.
Xyvern 5 Apr, 2020 @ 8:05am
so the caution tiles arent counting as a floor in my throneroom by the looks of it, anyone have any idea why its doing that
Talisman1973 9 Mar, 2020 @ 5:09am
Not a problem when you get around to it. with all the updates and fixes to the game and other mods it wasn't high on my wish list but it would be nice in the future when you get some free time.:steamhappy:
Esse Coisa  [author] 9 Mar, 2020 @ 1:51am
That's good, cuz I lied 🤡 It's gonna take me a little longer to get to this - work is heckin' nuts right now and I have neither the time nor energy to mess with any of this right now. Hold tight!
Talisman1973 2 Mar, 2020 @ 6:18am
Thanks, wasn't expecting anything that fast it was just a thought for the future. But thanks that would be great will b e looking forward to seeing it. Thanks
Esse Coisa  [author] 2 Mar, 2020 @ 5:39am
I'll add some brighter colors to go with the existing black-striped tiles and you can expect to see that uploaded later this week. White stripes with anything other than black will each require their own texture, but it's not impossible - maybe two to three weeks? :lunar2019deadpanpig:
Talisman1973 1 Mar, 2020 @ 5:43am
I was wondering if you were going to make any more tiles? Would live to see some brighter ones of the red, yellow and green. Would also like to see a white or light grey hazard with a bright red, bright green, a gold colour, and maybe a black for a medical bay or sterile area.
#6 29 Feb, 2020 @ 5:47am
Cheers! Glad you got it working :D
Esse Coisa  [author] 28 Feb, 2020 @ 6:21pm
Well, that took me longer than I expected - but I spent a lot of time drinking about it and here we are - the first version of [Caution Tiles] to support TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THE GAME!

Huge thanks to @Sixdd, I hate to think how much more drinking this would have required to complete.

Enjoy!
#6 24 Feb, 2020 @ 7:27am
Okie dokie :D
Esse Coisa  [author] 24 Feb, 2020 @ 7:18am
I'd like to give it another whack later this week just to prove I'm a man, failing that I will definitely look to your guidance Sixdd!
#6 24 Feb, 2020 @ 7:11am
@Esse, I have a version of this updated to be cross-compatible if you'd like to take a look and see what I did. It isn't on the workshop of course, out of respect.
Esse Coisa  [author] 24 Feb, 2020 @ 2:22am
That said, I encourage you all to blame Tynan.
Esse Coisa  [author] 24 Feb, 2020 @ 2:19am
Unfortunately not that simple for lil ol' code-illiterate me. I had updated the game following the directions in that announcement when it was posted a year ago, but that was a year ago. While Tynan's changed his mind on how to tackle the Steam Workshop problem since then, it's possible I also have to re-learn what the heck I'm doing.

Updating the filth source was easy enough, implementing separate versions in one mode not so much. I'll keep working on it when I'm off work later this week.
Esse Coisa  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 12:49am
Alright, it's going to take me a little longer to get an update ready. I want to take the time to look through the 'mod updating' guide so as to avoid ruining anyone's V1.0 games as I throw an updated version for V1.1 into the mix.

I hope I'll have this done sometime this weekend. Sorry! Blame Tynan.
Esse Coisa  [author] 19 Feb, 2020 @ 12:16am
Wow, thanks for the catch Sixdd! Let me see if I can update this quickly for you guys.
#6 17 Feb, 2020 @ 7:36pm
I found it, all you need to do is replace the <acceptTerrainSourceFilth> tag with the following:

<filthAcceptanceMask>
<li>Terrain</li>
<li>Natural</li>
<li>Unnatural</li>
</filthAcceptanceMask>
#6 17 Feb, 2020 @ 7:31pm
@Esse Coisa: Just so you know, this mod is throwing lots of errors on 1.1, there was something in the update docs about terrain filth I think.
Esse Coisa  [author] 11 Apr, 2019 @ 7:34pm
@bb8qt - Nope! These tiles are purely aesthetic.
kebabbery 11 Apr, 2019 @ 6:30am
does this affect pawn behavior in any way? do they know to avoid those areas? what about raiders and pets and wild animals?
Esse Coisa  [author] 24 Jan, 2019 @ 5:16pm
Small update, simply renamed about.xml to About.xml and added the new multi-version framework.

I still plan on adding more tiles, I just have to... yanno... actually do it :P Someday™
Far-Seeker 21 Nov, 2018 @ 10:11pm
Yay for options!
Esse Coisa  [author] 18 Nov, 2018 @ 5:00pm
Note that tje new picture I've uploaded is a little misleading, I've only added three "new" tiles. But you can use them in two different ways!

I definitely planned that.
