WillKMJ: the only visible effects I've come across are explosion effects. It might be possible to "fake".
I don't have any near-term plans of updating this, unfortunately.
I may get to it someday.

About strobe effect: you were saying in the description that flash shape is a bit ugly, wanna to ask if there any chance the shape will be changed/reworked?
Found a mod "Thermal and NVG IFF beacon", thermal signature in there is good, but I don't want to use that mod because player can't use beacon for marking vehicles, buildings, area etc.
Your mod is multipurpose in this regard.
Only thing is nice there is strobe shape, is there a chance that your strobes will have similar shape?

I wouldn't call my mods "abandoned", but I haven't been able to work on them recently due to work.

Also found a bug, after 5 minutes attached strobe disappears, but flashing effect doesn't. It keeps flashing in the air for 5 hours without any possibility to get rid of it.
It will be really cool if you could fix this.
P.s. love this mod, it's best in the IFF category, hope you didn't abandon it :)
I think it wasn't working due to the virtual reality area having no natural light (i.e. moon) and no landscape.
Another thing I spotted, I know Arma 3 Thermal Improvement mod is popular so I tested it with it on using some RHS vehicles and it doesn't seem to pick up the strobe in thermal mode.
Is it ok if I send over a few pics to you for comparison/further explanation?
Apologies, I tested this in virtual arsenal, changing the time of day to 12am - 2am so it was in complete darkness.
I threw down the IR grenade and it worked fine in Night Vision however when changing to thermal vision, the IR grenade did not flash and was not being picked up. I used the Apex ENVGs.
It could be that it was in the virtual reality map, I will look at testing this on other maps just to make sure.
