I asked you this about another build about a year ago, but are you still okay with people uploading modified versions of your stuff? I redid this guy for 10.5 (M/V, cockpit, thrusters, shield, etc), and shrank it down to fit through the smallest hangar door, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome at this point.

half the time I want to get out of this thing I end up getting stuck in the area near the RCV blocks -- also piloting this thing into a hangar bay sucks, can't see what I'm doing

yeah the internal cockpit has been changed to force 3 blocks above for clearance. You will have to remove the cockpit or add one in the bay until i fix

Great little tank! Just popped out one block in the center above the cockpit, right at the top of the nose angle. Now it dumps me out right on top. No problem. Swapped the starboard constructor for a clone chamber and updated the harvest boxes for A9. Thanks again for all the great ships!

I took it out and stomped a Drone Factory last night. I hope linking a video is OK.

Alpha 9 now prevents enclosing a Cockpit. So I have to update these builds. For now I would place a cockpit in the middle of the rear bay

How do you exit this vehicle? Luckily I decided to test it out in a new creative mode save because when exiting the cockpit I repeatedly got stuck in the cockpit block and had to salvage my way out. Last try I ended up inside a block and had to ditch that save because not even salvage worked.

When you go inside the vehicle its in the bottom center in the space left exposed if you hover over it with your reticle you'll see it say cockpit

thanks for the feedback intrasonic! At level 10, I don't look at HV's as being efficient enough to run purely on Bio Fuel. By level 10, I would have assumed Promethium was discovered with your lower level HV. The Fallkniven is a step heavier than the Labyrs and Shuriken, making ability to attack a base much more realistic. It does of course change its ability vs the lighter options. I try to give out allot of different options at each level to account for multiple play styles. I feel like this serves as a great Survival Option in that it caters to the more aggresive strategy of taking POI's in orderto level and gain more resources...Thanks again Intra!

Very slick styling. Absolutely love it. Although on a more practical side of things, I'm having a hard time making this work for anything aside from "POI frontal assault".

Wood>Biofuel conversion in an HV constructor is only 50% energy efficient, and a single constructor can only spit out a biofuel every 40-45s. But even with all turrets retracted, the idle power draw of this craft still needs roughly one biofuel every 3 minutes, and simply driving this vehicle forwards drinks a biofuel every 24 seconds. So I just can't make this work as a self-sufficient mobile lumberjack :)

Furthermore, the agility of this craft is offset by the size, so you take hits that you could have dodged with craft like the Labrys or Shuriken. Upgrading to combat armor to better take those hits shrinks that agility further.

Not trying to be overly critical, and I'm definitely short-listing this craft, but I'm not convinced this vehicle is well-served by referring to it as a "Survival HV".

One of the way i did "under turret" was to avoid "flat" bottom ...you either way place gravboosters and landing gear, it somewhat occupy 1/4 height of a block, so i just place like 3 or 4 "legs", or even "V" shape shaft with glass on the floor ...and then turret there - it won't collide with anything, and have either "windows" or a "line" where it can shoot anything that circle around under your ship. Just and idea you can test next time. I did such because i didn't like just "back" enetrance and added one 3x3 behind cockpit to acces from bottom, either for fast evac, or easy "grab" of plants or even wood cut down with velocity - from inside of your safe ship.

I'm extremely impressed with the way this handles. It's highly responsive. Strafing feels nice and smooth. It's extremely stable over rough terrain with no speed loss due to bottoming out. I jumped it off a mountain and it didn't bottom out. It had no problems with a near vertical mountain climb and lost very little momentum starting the climb. The wide, flat shape meant I had try to flip it over. I was thrilled when the O key alone fliped it right side up.

I think the turret placement is spot on. It's exactly the layout I would want for POI assaults. I NEVER have my rockets set to attack drones because that catagory includes all foot troops. Aside from being a massive waste of ammo it's an excellent way to ensure your HV is targeting everything BUT the POI turrets.

I like that you've started adding color. It's not a lot but it does wonders for the design.

Another excellent build. I can't wait to try it in combat.

Thanks for Clarifying Scarab. I wasn't offended, just didn't understand. I gave to option for the Arty to be offset for preference in POI stance and turn radius when flanking. Rockets are good at Air, but also very effective on POI turrets. I placed then forward so that they wouldnt clip into side of vessel during strafing as they take a second to spawn before they actually render and shoot. Minigun turrets are an extra block of hitbox now so its not easy anymore to place one underneath without effecting landing.

The beauty of all this is turrets can easily be repositioned to your play style. I try to keep my builds open to player optimization as best I can.

Is not. Hovitzer should be on top, arc of fire should overlap as much as they can. Also Rocket turrets are used more vs AIR and Miniguns are more usefull against ground targets, in which case some would even say rockets should not waste ammo at. But hey, i didnt wanted to offend anyone and as i stated, there is no 10/10 on each point when you design something. Sometimes its even good to add a minigun turret under as small fries like to hide there waiting for you to come out. One last thing... no diggers?...even two?

Well that seems quite a waste of ammo, just put a 3x3 rows of harvesters instead and they work wonders....
Golems, spiders, zirax, overseers, trees you name it, and you get the xp as well.....
