I'm just useing the outer hull (the shell) as a sort of guide.
I have been trying to build a carrier type ship the same basic shape as this for over a year now.
My design will have 3 - 5 hangars in each arm and 1 - 3 in the center area with the cockpit above the central hangar space. I am also going to be adding another hangar of sorts in the rear but this one will only be used for moving cargo and other supplies to/from the ship while it is docked or on the ground (via lift). I may include a "tunnel" from the front hangar area to the rear.

You can but thay will not original. Try make your own original design :)
