@Chutch356 Guzdundite isn't a german word. It isn't even a real word ( i think). I'm a German and i've never heard of a word called "Guzdundite" if someone told you it was a German word, well it isn't

To play SE comfortably a desktop is highly recommended, getting a laptop with the same power will cost more due to them charging for the compact hardware (and it will get hotter and louder than a desktop).
Colony wars was fun, learned a lot through those experiences but it was tiresome when non klang bugs appeared.

I usually name things off of animals or iconic names for air/space craft from real life or games/TV media. Javelin sounds like a good fighter name.

Thanks for the advice! I have to say i finally got into taking time on my builds, I have made a fighter on the Xbox Space Engineers, but need a name for it. It can fly with no upwards thrust in atmosphere a trait shared by all my small grids, what do you think I should name it. It's the least I can do to thank you for making amazing ships, making colony entertaining, helping out with advice, and reading through my comment. Ships can be as strong as you want, but in survival that can come at a cost, My suggestion for ship building is just to keep building and build up your practice, whenever you see a sharp corner try making it round with slopes or blocks that arent meant to be there (2x1 blocks are good for that). Paint can go a long way so finding two primary colors to use and an accent color (that is used sparingly but still noticeable) can make a ship look good. Everyone has their style and they got to find that on their own and thats why you gotta just wing it and keep building :selike:

I have a question, does me making a large ship grid more powerful than a super battleship(everyone elses standards) sound to powerful? also do you have any suggestions for me in making ships cause you're great at it.

thx for the tip and your time but I'm a complete noob at anything aside from building the hollow structure. in case you were curious what i'm working on is supposed to be a spaceport that could land an entire fleet and give players a chance to fix parts of their ship on a planet but not have to worry about their ships size too much because so long as it can fly in 0.25g it can use the port

I'll have to decline but I wish you the best of luck, a tip I can leave is if it involves rotors or pistons, make sure to learn the hitboxes of things so they dont hit eachother, adjusting rotor offset will prevent clang in many instances, also if you jolt a subgrid too much it might get disconnect the rotor head or piston and refuse to work, just need to reconnect the head to the piston/rotor.
Space engineers is definitely a game where trial and error is the best teacher, keep playing and use blocks the way they were never meant to be used; you will learn blocks will have more than 1 function.

Also Venom I have a question for you, I need help with a build I'm doing as I am relatively new to the game when it comes to actually building my own stuff and the you tube channel I watch LastStandGamers said that you are a master at building things so I figured I'd ask you
if you are interested plz hmu on steam or reply here and i'll see it but I do have to warn you that it kinda a complex thing...at least to me but I want it done right so I figured I'd ask a pro

Hey venom, about how much gravity do you think this beauty could take off and land in? I ask this because I am trying to design an absolutely massive planetary space port for ships of this caliper but I don't really know how the gravity system works with ship weight as I am new to the game

alright ive changed quite a bit on this ship with the latest update. more welders, flight seats have actions on the toolbars, front rocket launcher has a camera, red alert now is activated by a Timerblock so that it can play an alarm sound, and some cosmetic additions, enjoy!

Spacy it is, but adding even a very compact gun would ruin the looks =)
Also thanks for the info about the fighters if you add them. Can take some time to find the cause if you didnt design it from the very basic.
@artemyevrus - that is vanilla? The idea is ok, you could add that to many ships, but ECM... well it DOES some stuff with the targeting systems of auto turrets. But what if a ship has a decent good old broadside armament, turns and fires or/and smart AMS light turrets that are only on auto-sweep? Or some fixed armament cheap fighter/drones? Or something exotic such as a gravity gun? So many ifs.... I give it points as a good assassin, but a warship needs some endurance after all. See HMS Hood for further reference.
