Rika 10 Jul, 2024 @ 2:15pm
thank you so much for the mod
I notes the enemies waking up very fast so it's better to rise the chance of death to 1.5 or 2
to enjoy the game even more

um its not op just increase the chance of death to about 3.0 and have global damage multi at like 1.10 and your golden, you will rarely have a chance to save yourself if you have been beaten very badly and will need assistance from an ally or yourself if your toughness is high enough for you not to be KO'd, I am running the mod edited at 5x heal rate while using Newgame+ difficult mods everything being roughly 50+ in stats and its essentially harder kenshi without having to wait horrendous timers for healing, what increasing the chance on death does is makes it so when you get a wound it increase the damage multiplying to limbs etc.. so the heal rate means nothing when your blood loss is almost maxed out as mine is 5x and things still die quite a bit, without using newgame+ mods i would say increase global damage multi to 1.5 and decrease the chance of death to 2.0 and you should have a decent amount of balance, without wasting your time healing.

Yea, this mod is kind of OP, but waiting like 2 real-life minutes for your party to heal is not fun. Would be cool if healing could be increased only when inside towns, or when party is standing still.

Would be even better if the party could automatically use sleeping bags without having to 'build' them manually. Oh well, maybe in Kenshi 2.

You mostly get armor that has acid protection pretty early on in the game anyway if you know what to do, so acid rain is just not something to worry about anyway, even in the vanilla game.

Plus, you're free to unsub from this mod if that pitiful acid rain damage is that important.
dagobert dogburglar 1 Jul, 2023 @ 11:49am
You can literally outheal acid rain damage as it comes in. You could cut the buff in this mod in half and it'd still be strong.

@Wirewing I don't see how it's OP though. The enemies are affected by it too, so it's more like speeding up some of the tedium of waiting for your best warriors to heal.
Wirewing 20 Apr, 2023 @ 7:31pm
Love it. It's supposed to be OP. That's the point. It's fun to slowly recover the first time. After that it's basically a boring minigame.
Limouzine  [author] 15 Jun, 2022 @ 11:18am
@Vim It's in gamedata.base in FCS. Just click on Global Game Settings and find a value name called "heal rate".
Vim 15 Jun, 2022 @ 7:29am
Agree this feels too OP. @Ranger -- can you give more details on how to modify the global healing rate ourselves? Is this a setting in settings.cfg or do we need to use FCS to modify gamedata.base?
Redshirtguy 8 Feb, 2022 @ 1:28pm
i wish there was a healing mod with 0.5 healing to fast kinda is op
Limouzine  [author] 8 Jan, 2022 @ 12:12pm
Personally, I wish I could make it to where the vital body parts like the chest, stomach and head heal slower than the limbs. Sadly, there is no option to decrease or increase heal rates of separate body parts. Just the overall general heal rate.

It doesn't help that toughness tends to be a strong factor too.
Limdood 8 Jan, 2022 @ 10:29am
Yup, not trying to bash on this mod at all. It was very good for doing what it says it will do. I merely didn't expect the side effect of a -35 unbandaged chest healing on its own even while the tooltips said "this wound is getting worse. do something or you'll die" when toughness was still under 30.

I very much approve of the faster healing, but the reduced lethality wasn't for me. I like not losing squad members, but having enemies auto stabilize, then slowly naturally heal was obnoxious, especially with base building, since the game gives very few tools (other than micromanagement) to deal with enemies that have fallen unconscious but don't actually die.

I merely posted to help give some feedback on some (possibly unintended) side effects of the healing rate adjustments.

I didn't see a lot of NPCs get back up whenever I fight them, but my experiences mean nothing since everyone's gameplay experience is different. Especially when you can alter the settings when starting a new game.

I ain't gonna bash you for uninstalling it though. This mod ain't for everyone after all. Though maybe I should lower the blood regen from 0.4 to 0.2 to compensate.
Limdood 7 Jan, 2022 @ 10:24am
With default settings, this will fundamentally alter your game...

Killing enemies (or dying yourself) is MUCH MUCH less likely. The heal boost is enough to override the bleeding wound decay rate in most cases, seeing unbandaged enemies recovering from unconscious (and their coma) QUICKLY, in situations where in the unmodded game, they'd be "dying" due to wound deterioration of head/stomach/chest.

It was nice not having to carry around my fallen companions for full/multiple in-game days before beds, but it also made beds almost completely pointless, and I'd end up having to fight the same enemies multiple times or oversee manually picking up and walking the bodies to a dumping zone that wouldn't aggro again, because the enemies just won't DIE. Ended up having to disable this mod.

You might've set Global Damage Mult too low.

There's an option to change it when you start a new game, or import a save.
MrDsync 3 Apr, 2021 @ 9:11pm
Im wondering why when i get knocked out i just randomly heal up even thought i'm well knocked out. It would be nice to get a response to this
cheezbawlz 7 Mar, 2021 @ 6:55pm
@Archer Thanks!
Noone 7 Mar, 2021 @ 10:13am
@Archer Now gameplay is alot more smoother(thanks to more action going on),so i don't mind that personally. Thanks for that mod, true QoL
Limouzine  [author] 7 Mar, 2021 @ 10:08am
@Steven

No, it's "heal rate mult". Be warned, it affects the healing speed of every character and creature. Not just your squad.

Medkit drain makes it to where you waste less of the medkit when you heal someone. Regardless of medic skill.
cheezbawlz 7 Mar, 2021 @ 8:01am
Is it labeled "medkit drain" in the global game settings?
Noone 26 Dec, 2020 @ 3:24am
Thanks for making this game less grindy more fun
Limouzine  [author] 23 Oct, 2020 @ 7:55pm
Thx m8
Big Bubba 23 Oct, 2020 @ 7:44pm
nice mod bro! I really like this one over healing rate mods, take a unicorn. :beeped:
Dekarius 30 Aug, 2020 @ 11:39am
Finally a healing rate that makes sence, thanks!
Limouzine  [author] 26 Oct, 2019 @ 6:44am
Check global game settings and scroll down. It's underneath the "medic" category.
Ismo 26 Oct, 2019 @ 3:56am
i cant find heal rate mult value, where is it exactly?
Limouzine  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 6:22pm
I hate to say it, but no there is not. Not that I've seen anyway.
Fernando 9 Dec, 2018 @ 12:22pm
This makes leviathans stupid hard to kill without massed crossbows. Is there a way to tweak the healing rate for specific types?
Limouzine  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 9:55am
Hey bud, I'm real lazy. But I'm not lazy enough to not teach you how to easily do it yourself, which I have done on the description.

Just start up Kenshi and then select the game editor that comes with it.
shotaimkiller 9 Dec, 2018 @ 9:52am
i mean my squad healing so fast that kill the challenge for me so i dont need to use bed's or camp bed's just speed the game x3 and run all good ez lol

Limouzine  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 8:35am
Lol, I just use weapons high on cutting damage to fix that problem.
shotaimkiller 9 Dec, 2018 @ 4:56am
