Select the mod in the mod list, and then Advanced > Open Folder. In here route to Patches and open the .xml in your text editor of choice
Locate and change the following:
Class="PatchOperationInsert" to Class="PatchOperationReplace" (line 5)
/Defs/ThingDef[@Name="ThingBaseFox"]/race/predator to /Defs/ThingDef[@Name="ThingBaseFox"]/race/maxPreyBodySize (line 6)
Save this file. Then go to the root folder for the mod > About and edit about.xml to include
<supportedVersions><li>1.5</li></supportedVersions> under the <url></url> elements.
The previous version simply added the element onto foxes, but it seems they now already have it (set to 0.5 by default), and this mod was adding the element again, causing the exception.
@Thundercraft, let me know if you ever want to take this over again.
<targetVersion> in mod About.xml is deprecated! Use <supportedVersions> tag instead. (example: <supportedVersions><li>1.0</li></supportedVersions>)
But that SOON changed after one of my best melee colonist with a knife lost (Colonist was fully healed and had nothing wrong) got completely destroyed but a single fox (Who was also fully healed and had nothing wrong) after the fox hunted him for food.
Thank you for creating this mod!
"Vanilla Animals Overhaul Reloaded" sounds interesting. I'll have to give it a closer look.
There are reports of squirrels attacking humans though -_-
I'd appreciate it if this mod could be made for the lynx too, as they never hunt people (they are even more inclined to give people a wide berth than foxes do) and also suffer the same AI quirk in Rimworld.
Would use again, fo Fox's sake.
