I am also glad you are back, and thank you very much for your hard work.

If you are looking for bringing more unique xcom stuff, may I recommend XCOM Declassified?

Not from me, I don't mod for the game anymore.

If someone wanted to make a version of the mod that did that then their allowed to as long as DerBK is credited since their the original creator of the mod after all.

No the fire FX change would be a change that I would include in this mod, currently I'm not working on this mod because of other projects, maybe I'll change it one day but currently no.

I could make a WOTC version of the gun but no promises since I'm picky about soldier rewards.

The reason I am asking is the bitterfrost protocol doesn't have the fire FX. Do I need to ask that modder for it to work with this one?

It seems the vanilla avatar guns don't work for wotc, are you able to convert it?

It would have the same anything that the original mod has that isn't pistol related.

I don't know if there are any versions of the Avatar gun for WOTC but there was some for vanilla, search Psi Rifle or Avatar Rifle.

So uhm, the cryo priest just doesnt do anythings, shoots the ground with his pistol, really confusing

To clear up why that enemy is not included in ABA: DerBK bundled all enemies that require a dlc in the extra mod so that players without those dlc could still use ABA.

Ah alright then yes if you never used A Better DLC that would be why.

Must be this then, I NEVER saw the unit. Ever.

I thought my ABA was the definitive version though, I will check this a A Better DLC one

If your using A Better Advent already then it's worth using the original mod in that case since this is intended for use without it.

I've seen video evidence via someone's youtube let's play that this mod does spawn units in.

But it also depends on how many enemy mods your using, spawn rates are up to RNG always and the more enemy mods you run with the more likely you will go without seeing an enemy.

I copied everything from the original mod besides the AI tree which I had to make myself, so if anything if something is wrong with the spawns here then they also apply to the original mod.

Unless your just saying you never saw this unit in A Better Advent in general which in case it's because this enemy is part of the addon mod for ABA the "A Better Dlc"

Alright so I was watching a couple of people's Xcom Let's plays and in one of them this unit worked fine but they were also using a Better AI (not a Better Advent) while someone else was I think not using that mod.

Anyways there was a vip in the other guy's vid who was by themselves and ran into a pod of a Priest, Cryo Priest and a Mec, when it came to the Cryo Priest's turn they just shot at the air.

Now until I get more info I'm going to assume either this mod will require A Better AI or the Cryo Priest can't target VIP's, so I've added ABAI as a required mod.

Maybe in the future but I can tell you that the Advent Titan and Spark work perfectly fine with just A better AI, Spark functions normally but the Titan is missing a primary weapon (Which you can change to an Advent rifle in the ini files) but is otherwise functioning fine.

The Cryo Priest in that pack does not however work with only A better AI, part of why I made this mod actually, you could go through the files and "delete" the Cryo Priest from that mod. (I think you could anyways)

Nice. Wouldn't mind seeing a standalone port-over of the ADVENT Titan as well? (They kinda make a nice slow moving, armored companion of stun lancers)

I had a talk with another modder about it and you should try deleting the mod from the steam workshop folder which is located here (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\268500).

Then, you should remove that mod's entry from settings.json in the alternative mod launcher.

You will find the mod under the same number as the one in the wed address which is https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1561740813

So the folder will be called 156174081, so delete that.

I did switch the mod to hidden a few times to fix a problem that was going on with it, after I fixed it I had two different versions of the mod in the Alt mod launcher, check if the same is with you.

The only other ones I would consider is the Andromedon Prime and the Valkyrie, and those would probably get changed up.

The Cryo Priest is a unique enough concept to make standalone. (Plus people have wanted an ice based purifier for awhile and some of those people don't use ABA as great as a mod it is)

So uh as cool as it would be to expand on the mod, the plan was just to make a port and be done with it besides bug fixes, maybe if another modder offered to make that sort of stuff for me to add but otherwise no further plans sorry.

It's just a port for an already existing enemy so no not really, and the Cryolator isn't that much balanced for Xcom use.

All I did was just make this guy independent from the original mod without the dependencies on ABA.

Lore wise (For my version) there wouldn't really be anything to gain from these guys besides maybe the Cryolator, the armor is the same as a normal Priest but with new paint, we already have frost bombs and their ADVENT pistols are normal with nothing fancy to them.

It's an interesting enemy. Kind of feel like he needs a pack similar to the other pyro enemy. Maybe thats just me nick picking. Cool idea! Can't wait to encounter them on missions!
