Also it would be nice to have a per job or per machine toggle to override the automatic cleaning so that pawns aren't bothering to clean the workshop before smelting slag and such.

When used with the "Categorized Cleaning - Split" mod, this mod prevents pawns from doing a job. Can you make this mod compatible with Categorized Cleaning - Split, or does he need to make changes on his end?

i didn't have categorized cleaning, however the issue has been resolved regardless and it now works for me. thanks for the quick bugstomping @avil

The endless looping of cleaning > butchering or other things that stem from an issue between "Categorized Cleaning" and "Common sense" can seemingly by fixed by turning off an option in the modoptions for "Common sense".

Just untick the "Pawns will clean rooms in between hauling ingredients and crafting", it worked for me and I tested it a couple of times.
If you have an issue of endless looping of cleaning > butchering, it's an issue with Common Sense + Categorized Cleaning. Both have been patched it looks like, just unsubscribe and resubscribe to the mod to redownload. Can confirm it works afterwards.

I think I figured it out. Formula for storage room have changed, and possibly for all other rooms. Adjusted the formula to better suit new values, should be better now.

I dont know how to put a sceenshot, I am looking into it.

As I said, It does it when I start a new game with only your mod.

Also I was using Vanilla Book expanded (didnt realise that library wasnt in the non modded game).

In my odessey modded game, I havent use CS before.

But I did lauch a game with only CS and harmony.

Ok I dont know how to say it: I had a library and I was playing normal, without any cooler in that room and I saw you updated your great mod. I thought cool, will take it and all of a sudden my library (also dining room but whatever) became a fridge room.
No cooler in that room, not broken walls or anything else that would justify it changing status.

It took my some time to find that it's your mod that did that.

I did test it with only your mod and harmony : did the same thing.

I got no idea how you mod games and I think all of u are doing a great job. I have being playing with your mod for as long as I remember and I really thank you for it.
Just giving this info as I think it's a bug.

It doesn't depend on a room temp, it doesn't depend on food stored, it depends on if it has something that can store and a COOLER that SET TO NEGATIVE VALUE pointing INSIDE the room!

In space, it's cold, so I landed, opened all doors and waited for temp to go over 10° : still a fridge room.

No, I mean for a room to become a fridge room it SHOULD have a cooler with cooling side inside that room set to negative value.

I justed tested: with just your mod and harmony (and all dlc) it does it.
Tried a new scenario with the spaceship: the main room is a fridge room.

I dont know what it does to store rooms but it also changed my library to fridge room with is more annoying as it doesnt give the mood bonus (I suppose).

Fridge room is basically a storage room with coolers set to negative number. Why you freeze your libraries?

This mod seems to change room catagorisation, store rooms or library into fridge rooms even though there is no food in it.

@Farbott I have the split version of Catagorized Cleaning, still causes the bug when a pawn tries to use a work station. We should report it to that mod author to see if we can get a compatibility patch

Pawns seem to get stuck in an infinite job tick bug when you have them set to clean around benches before doing it, resulting in them doing nothing.. OR, it may be this? I forced update before trying to run it - it was definitely the 1.6 version causing the issues.

steam is throwing wrenches due to the amount of rimworld stuff getting updates and messes up some stuff, happens every major rimworld update.
i usually wait a few days and then make a clean download of all rimworld mods i want to use to melt down all these wrenches the workshop did throw.

This mod was making my 1.6/ Odyssey startup hang at "initializing" - I identified it by taking all mods off and adding one at a time.

follow up on @MauPow's comment but cooking/butchering is also bugged for me, my pawn will put a corpse or ingredient on the stove, pick it up and put it back down again in an infinite loop with no other mods other than common sense. this is unrelated to anything with the new DLC too as far as I know as I've yet to get to any Odyssey content

I didn't get to gravship yet so it's possible. It might take me another day to fix all the problems with DLC specifically.
