I remember intentionally passing on this mod a while back, only to accidentally pop back in again to find they are MUCH more appealing. You're doing amazing work with that editor.

I think it is not necessary to make a new unit since there is the possibility to link a variant to a certain faction. That being said I didn't try that myself yet, only saw that the option is available.

That could be interesting to have a reskin for Arkhan's direwolves too (with some kind of hyena fur patern for exemple).
But i guess this should need to replace the unit by a copy with the new skin ('cause i suppose it use directle the vampire count unit and not another one with the same model).

Oh, that would work no doubt. The problem isn't that I don't know how to get rid of the glow, the problem is the table I have to manipulate to switch animations. It would be the same that overhauls like SFO use to rebalance the units which would most likely lead to an incompatibility with this kind of mod. So I rather keep the glow and avoid the risk of incompatibilities.

i was talking about an animation without glowing eyes. so maybe you can give them the animation of the gobbo cav. i don't know if it works, just a suggestion?!?

@Axlegolas not sure what you mean. If the question is whether or not you can make gobbo cav riding other 'dog' units than their usual wolves...didn't try it but I am pretty sure it would work.

yes, its in the land_units. all the dog units have basicly the same animation, the only difference being that different visual effects are tied to them. I think the icewolves even have their own version for a few cold related effects around them.

Oh, is the glow in land_units table, then? I thought they used the same animations of the norscan ice wolves, which don't have it.

@Xenos I actually considered doing that, but the glow is tied to the animation. I could still change it, but I am not sure whether or not that would create an incompatibility with mods modifying their stats (tbh I think they really could need some help in that regard) since I would have to change that table, so I left it in. Also, the Terrorgheist is having blue glowing eyes too. Probably because he also has the old animation of the Vampire Count variant.

I would suggest removing the blue glow from their eyes, as none of the vampire coast beasts seem to have it. They use a slightly different form of magic to reanimate them.
