Hello fans of Scipion!

I was working on a Sarthorael/Azrik mod myself when I learned of Scipion's great work here.

Hi Everyone, sorry for the inconvenience caused by this mod. I don't currently intend to update this but I'll leave it here if another modder wants to take it on.

Just a PSA for people using this mod: it seems that it breaks many (if not all) triggered events, including campaign chapters, item quests, and various aspects of several factions (like the new Imperial mechanics). There are awkward workarounds for some of it (returning from the pre-battle UI to the campaign map via retreat or besiege/encircle sometimes gets new events/quests that should be triggering to actually do so), but it doesn't seem to always work, and it isn't viable for turn-start events. It's a shame, would be nice to see it updated/fixed, but I guess until then I'll be playing without Sarthorael. Just thought I'd put this info here for any experiencing this issue. Hope it helps.

@Scipion Any chance your going to update this mod? Also as of right now when I play a Mortal Empires campaign with this mod the chapter bonuses don't work, might want to look into that.

After many hours trying to figure out what was bugging my friends and I co op campaign, can confirm this bugs Skaven Ikit's doom rockets. Unfortunate Skaven/Chaos campaign would be a lot more fun with my favorite Chaos Lord :(

I can confirm just for anyone looking to debug a bugged Skaven campaign specifically, for some reason this mod messes with the warp fuel/doom rocket/workshop advancement, so yeah as you say @Scipion disable if not playing chaos campaign.

@Elmis66 Unfortunalely you can't with this mod. Sarthorael recruitable is linked to the event of his defeat. There is always a way to do what you ask, but I don't really have time to mod this right now.

Do you have any idea how to trigger the recruitment availability if I defeated him already? Or maybe change the code to let player recruit him without that event and upload as an alternative version? :)

not really much I can do, my mod is but a few line of code. It's best to disable it while not playing Chaos.

Im only asking because it seems like by the time I get Sarthorael, ill be done with the chaos campaign. So having him available closer to the start would be a lot of fun. Thanks

when does sarthoreal appear, when playing as chaos? is there a companion mod that makes him unlockable in the style of unlcoking the other chaos lords?

Hi, do you know if it's possible to recruit him if I already defeated Sarthorael in my Chaos campaing? I tried ending my turn to check if the lord list would refresh but he's not there :(

Heyyy, one question, does the mod work if you install it midway in your chaos campaign (but before defeating the lord of chaos)?

The mod is finally updated.

@odiemitchell not sure how this mod would impact anything. The effective code in my script seems very limited. In any case, there is no point running this mod if playing another faction than Chaos.

This is the mod that causes problems with skaven Doomrockets not being removed from the counter making it impossible to upgrade the Forbidden Workshop.

@Scipion Well after trying to simply copy it, it appears to not work. And unfortunately I have no idea how to mod Warhammer. Oh well, maybe someone will do it some day! Thanks anyway for making it!

I'm not really setup for modding TWW1, but I have no objection if someone wants to take my script and use it. Honestly, it would either works right of the bat or not at all. You could just copy the .pack file in the TWW1 data folder and see what happens.

@Scipion I see. The reason I prefer your mod is because yours rewards winning against Sarthorael and his Hordes by submitting him to you, while the other mod simply deactivates the event altogether. Yours is more, let's say lore-friendly. Besides, there's still that bug with the other mod that removes Sarthorael's title for another generic one when leveling him.

@LVP I don't see why not. However, I have no clue if the function I use in this mod is available for TWW1. I haven't really looked at the mod for TWW1, it might still work though, not sure you would need to port mine.

Hey, amazing mod I must say!

I have an odd question however. I saw you post on the TWW1 mod that added Sarthorael, and I was wondering if there was a possibility to port your mod from TWW2 to TWW1?
Of course I'm not asking you to do it, as no one would make content for a previous game, it's logical, I was just curious if it was possible technically?

Yes, it seems limited to chaos, the most you get is a level 3 boost. So instead of starting out at 1, you start at 3.

@Shadow_Ordo you have a point, it sure is feasible. However, and it's been some time so I can't recall if it applies to Chaos, but most factions have buildings or other means to boost experience of newly recruited lords. Those would apply to him.

Hi there, thanks for making this character unlocked, i went looking for a Greater Daemon Unlock chaos mod a week ago and this proved to be the only solid choice.

I was wondering however, what are your thoughts to giving Sarthorael some starting level boost in someway? Given his unlock requirements is first beating him as seperatist faction, which occurs around turn 150, that is very late game to start a new lord at level 2-3 (depending on chaos faction tech bonuses). I don't want to suggest anything crazy OP or high level, but i figure a 5-8 level starting boost is fair given that its already considered mid-late game by turn 150.

He appears after you defeat his faction. His faction emerges turn 80 to 120, depending on your progress.

You might not need a new game anymore, the script has been moved in a way that should work mid-campaign. Let me know if it works.
