well this mod has ruined my save, the ai just spam these and just keep the lux in a state of no use, so now no amenities for ai

I use this in every game. I probably only ever need one herdsman but I really like it.

Great Mod! It allows one with a bit of investment to rustle herd animals from some unfortunate random hexes to much more conveniently useful hexes.

I've NOT used it for this purpose yet, but I'm constructing another herdsman right now to move some horses OFF a hex within my city that is perfect for a Campus. There's also the possibility I may try the second incarnation to get a herd out of what would make a GREAT holy site.

I know... the author said that they "did not add Bison because people typically did not round up these animals. Instead, they hunted them." True!
And I've never heard of penguins being domesticated either.
But as both resources have been asked for to be added to this mod here lately I decided to add them into the Let Me Patch That For You mod :lunar2019grinningpig:.

You mentioned oxen I haven't seen them in my game. Would this affect animals from mods that aren't listed? I have alpaca, capybara, and bison, all three of which can be herded by people.

Often used Botanist mostly thou this still good , however it be nice if updated to include more resources to hustle , like bison & Latin American Resources.

Yes Cbay1845... The AI does use herdsman. BUT It does not use them smart. AI will often use them to rustle a herd, but will not place it anywhere. And when/if you capture them they turn into builders. So it is often a sheer lose of that resource.

I found a city state with a herdsman in one of my games, I did not see the herdsman in action so idk if it used it, but there was a horse resource inside the city borders. Its not hard proof but I think the ai can use herdsmen, which is kinda cool.

I often use these Herdsmen to steal all the elephants on the map.. it works great in deity level, so u have the avantage against the AI

As @Andu noted, "Ham" from "Resourceful 2" is not supported. Pigs were definitely domesticated.

Would be nice to see Honey as well since Bees were also domesticated since ancient times.

Stretch goal, add Chickens as a bonus resource which could also be moved by Herdsman.

Great mod, though I could've sworn Elephants also appeared on Tundra (hills), atleast at some point in the game's life. Are you going to add Honey to the mod, or do you consider the ability to move Bee hives around too modern or too different to add it?

Hi can I just say I love this mod. It is simple, does not bug or mess the game and it is so fun and cool, and a tiny bit practical if you want to move flocks around. Love it! Well done!

I love this mod, and Botanist too! In my current play-through I've been making a point of using both of them, and they both provide a great mechanic that allow for more options when planning a city. Kudos!

So I just noticed that the herdsman won't rustle Bison from Sukritact's Resources. Is this intentional or an oversight or just something you hadn't got around to? I think the herdsman should be able to move them, seeing as they're domesticated ranch animals today. Please consider it!

When the herdsman "picks up" an animal does it get copied or is it removed from the original tile? My concern is that if the original resource is removed, since I play with extra barbarians, they'll probably get captured a lot and therefore the overall number of animal resources would keep dwindling in the early game.

Hi Ingolenuru , the mod is updated for the September patch - we both have the mod installed in a patched game. The AIs will sometimes make a herdsman, but they do not know how to use it properly. In the infrequent cases where they make one, it seems they most often use it as a scout.

Can the AI use this yet. Sometimes it is hard to believe how much simple but awesome stuff the developers have missed and won't let you add to the game. I hope they gave you a way to let the AI use this mod. Is this Sept patch verified?

I love this mod. No problems so far.

Pseikone - I wouldn't had deer, truffles or furs, these are hunting and trapping ressources. It makes no sens to be able transpose those and truffle arre not even animals, there mushroom bury deep inground and we use pigs to sniff em out.

@Adolf Oliver Bush, placing the herd will cause the other resource to be removed. We are planning to release a mod (at some point) that will let you know a tile has a hidden resource without telling you what the resource is.

@kvandborg, the sound is from an elephant unit in the game files.

@Flactine, we can make it so the herdsman will herd pigs.

That's on the list of things to do. Definitely, it would make sense to get grievances if you take a herd from a tile adjacent to someone else's border.

Hehe.. And If u have the strategic forts app. u can move the herds from the forts and back behind u own cultured borders. :-) Nice add AOM.
