hi there is a smurfs one too, but i think they are more of a menace than pets (but i didnt get chance to try it yet) i was too busy putting my minions into bioreactors
i havent tried in 1.3 as my main save with the minions is still 1.2 but you could try in case it still lets you

I can operate on my minions, but the don't turn purple.

The issue with the minions equipping weapons is incredibly frustrating when I can't keep anything in my stockpiles and it all ends up deteriorating outside instead because they get bored and drop it. (My personal explanation for their kooky behavior! Like I said I love these little guys and gals.)

@Crysis - minions wandering is one of the events... not sure when they will appear - but they do. As for the serum... humans will only turn into minions occasionally... its a side effect. not a feature per se... LOL

the setting, if minions are allowed to take weapons is not written into the save. Everytime im loading the game, i have to do it manually.
is there a option to save it or to set some standards? [i/]

Most traders will not buy them I think... because traders will need to be enable to buy them... or something... i think... but you can always slaughter them and sell products/food made of them. haha
That said, I am not fond of the backstory: Gru and his wife should have stuck together after the Anti-Villain League released the man that murdered his daughters. The nuclear bomb was totally in Gru's character, though. I don't like the unnecessary torture added to such a great character and I think it would be a bit more wholesome for Gru and his wife to have died in the crash together.
