Amazing mod! It's become a staple in all my playthroughs.

One odd issue that I noticed today: biorobot escorts still have the "wrong specialization" penalty listed.

I built smallish colony while I focused on the underground, staffing the single large surface dome with mostly biorobots (who don't die of old age, or procreate). I had the "Dirty Farmers" game rule on. I built 1 brothel. These are the conditions.

By the time I came back up and looked, about 60% of the surface dome's population were escorts, almost all of them working in the wrong profession. We really need some kind of FIRM cap on that growth.

Speaking of biorobots, I'd love to see a mod where their professions are still colour-coded into their icons within buildings, maybe less prominent than with human colonists, but still visible. I mention it to you, as you've already managed to modify those icons previously. Haven't seen anyone else do that yet.

@ tizoc97 That... is literally the opposite of how reality works.
If anything, visiting the brothel should REMOVE the melancholic trait.

Though I first misread that as "melodramatic" and thought... yeah, that person should suffer a sanity penalty.
Maybe trigger a prohibitionist event, where you are offered a choice to support the Control Freak with Security Officers, and all non-religious colonists suffer -10 to moral and comfort as their rights and freedoms are trampled. One escort colonist dies and another receives the Chronic Condition flaw as a result of your Officers beating the shit out of them. All other Escorts take a -25 to sanity, moral, and comfort (some may leave the colony as a result).
Or, denounce the Control Freak, "we aspire to leave the worst parts of Earth behind, here on Mars", The Control Freak and 5 religious colonists leave on the next rocket, but moral and comfort of all remaining colonists receive a +15 bonus.

You should add a penalty where anyone suffers a mild sanity penalty when using the service, Make the penalty more severe for colonists with the melancholic trait.

As far as being useful for colonizing, the american west was literally built by brothels. The first building to go up in most frontier towns was the bar/brothel, followed by the church. Of course, if the priest left, the town would usually survive, but the most reliable determinant of the survival of a town was the presence of prostitutes.

ah, I believe that's cause the escort there makes it need 3 columns for the profession. is true that you can't bring escorts from Earth but otherwise is there an actual problem with it?

Unfortunately, because of RL and some project I'm working on at the moment, I won't be able to work on SM mods and update my mods as soon as I'd wish too. They will be all updated at some time, none abandoned. Thanks for understanding and enjoy the new content for now.
I may be able to update my smaller mods sooner but don't hold your breath. For the bigger ones I think there would be actually some amount of work and it definitely won't be a straightforward update, I foresee that I'll need to play the new content myself at last for a while, not modded, to decide how a mod like the Resources or the Family still fits in the new context with and without the new DLC at the same time, and decide what I need to change on them.

You are actually right, it can train it but I can't see why it would keep training only that one unless you have a lot of brothels. I fixed it but encountered some problems uploading at the moment, will do it asap

I think this is a great mod & concept, only issue I had was that if the Martian University was set to "Auto" all the graduates were Escorts no matter how many of the other professions were required.

If You use my Base Additions mod you can fine tune the allowed professions. Once you have a couple allow only specialists to work there

I was interested in the concept of this mod, because I needed more variety on keeping moral up in my colonies. The issue I had is how many escorts ended up in my colony. On the last try, I had 200 colonists and 90 of them were escorts, with one brothel built. :(

I may consider balancing changes but unlikely to change this particular thing, till now noone else had an issue with it. Could you maybe let me know how many colonists you ended up with and how many of them got promiscuous, which game rule from the mod you use and how many into that profession?

Not sure if I did it wrong, but it seems that Flaw is a bit to powerful. Ended up with nearly everyone in the colony having it. was completely impossible to have a sustainable population.

Also note that you may have a hard time when the building is in one shift mode (not playing with the mod profile) because of a vanilla issue that always kicks someone even if such building have open slots unless, I belive, the game time is during the active shift. This was recently discussed on discord in relation with Better AI and/or the new Economy mod that includes that funcionality.

You have to put in non specialists and they will become profesionists. Set the building priority to low or pause the game when you have to manually assign someone on it. Setting the prefered to nonspecialists will have other downsides. The penalty I think is just displayed so but not actually valid and that's because of the shifts before they got the specialization.

Can I make a suggestion? If you don't want escorts to be trainable can you set it up so the preferred specialist is non-specialized rather then escort. Because what eventually happens is even with Better AI the UI only allows me to choose between building specialist or no restriction. But you can't train escorts, so what ends up happening with a new colony or a newly loaded save is your forced to drop the restriction and then you end up with valuable specialists from other buildings flooding in since there is no way to fine tune the targeted workforce and I end up spending the next few hours going around and sniping geologists and biologists from the building over and over and over again.
