They can be used to make npcs, having the animation to do so, but if you can make them into playermodels, Even just one, i'd be very greatful.
And I'm a HUGE Tali fan.
I do have to reinstall Gmod, as I've gone ahead and broken it. So if issue pops up after a fresh install maybe I'll have some insights as to what is wrong. If not then I am out of ideas.
In any case, thanks for being understanding, Tali. :D
So, before this little dilemma, I DID happen to disable all the add-ons (Including maps and other playermodels.) That didn't seem to work, and each appeared to be compatable... So sadly... I'm done in.
Hopefully we can figure this out, it might happen to other people, so other people won't have to go through this as well. Also, I have no idea as to what extent your expreience reaches with these sort of things, so I tried to cover all the bases. If I came off as obvious or condescending, I seriously am completely sorry.
I also realize that this is a massive pain in the backside, but please bear with me. :(
Also, start with the comment above your previous comment, and work your way up. Damn Steam and it's char count.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons
The file name is the same as the title. After retriving the file, which you can put on you desktop or something, you'll need a third party decompiler like this one [www.treesoft.dk]. Extract this program into its own folder then drap and drop this addon onto the program. what you can do now that you've extracted the mod is to just drag the mod folder into your addons folder under garrysmod/garrysmod. It should show up. If it does not then you will have to grab a legacy compatibility mod off the workshop.
If the above didn't work then go to your gmod folder and delete everything except Addons, Maps and Saves, then verify the game.
First off, verify integrity of game cache through Steam. in Steam right click on Garrys Mod, Click properties and click the local files tab. Should be a button saying "Vertify Integrity Of Game Cache" Wait for it to finish and play Garrys Mod Check if it works. If not then continue.
I kow, I should have specified. I've only had maps installed for "add-ons", so I don't know why it refuses to work. Is there a file off-steam I could get and paste into Gmod, or would it be extremely complicated? (I've only dealt with basic add-ons. Sorry.)
Hopefully that helps. Also, this information was available in the descrip. btw.
Unfortunately, there is no way other then going mod by mod to try to find the conflicting mod. But if you have a legacy addon then diable that. Why it's like that I have no idea. Sorry.
Hope it helps, good luck.
Although, if you figure it out and you PM me with the details, I would be happy to update the file, if need be, to accomodate pointshop and stuff. Good luck.
I realize that the last thing you want to hear from anyone doing community stuff is that I'll get around to it when I get the chance, but I'll get around to it when I get the chance. Sorry man, but in the meantime you can watch the Olympics.
Also, for future reference the technical term is v_hands. Just wanted you to know, because the descrip. talks about this.
Mainly, I'm lazy. As cool as it would be to add them, I simply don't have the motivation to teach myself how to do it. With enough pressure i might do it, but again, I'm lazy as hell.
Eugh.
