I probably should have said this months ago, but not having time is kind of my thing lately. I want to thank everyone one who has enjoyed my mods and apologize for failing to properly provide support for them. These mods where made a while ago when I was between jobs. Since then I’ve gotten a job, but lost all free time. I love the Rimworld community and seeing you guys enjoy the things I’ve created has made me indescribably happy and boosted my confidence as a programmer at a time when I was doubting my own skills. I am honestly sad and embarrassed that I haven’t been able to keep up with everyone’s comments and request. I hope one day to come back to Rimworld and make more fun things to share with you all, but I have no clue when that will be. So, I guess this is goodbye for now. It’s been real fun, and may Randy be kind to you in the days to come.

It sure would be nice to have at least some idea of which UI mods this plays nice with and which ones it does not. Even better would be if this included some compatibility routines for one or two of the most popular UI mods.

As Mistletoe The Bard says, it seems nearly everyone uses at least one or two UI mods these days.

Awesome mod, but rather useless since everyone use some kind of UI adjust mods for sure... making this mod unusable.

@«ⓌⓎⓋⒺⓇⓃ» Thank you for answering @Dogstrucktoid's question. You are correct, this mod, plus a couple of my others, have been having problems with UI mods. I'm going to add something about it in the mod Compatibility section of the description.

As for Gradient Hair: First off, thanks for telling me about this mod. I had no idea it existed, but I’ve been wanting something just like this. Unfortunately I probably won't be able to do a patch for it. At first glance they are doing some clever things with how the game handels hair.That will be pretty labor intensive to work into my system and my work life has been really busy lately so I haven't been able to keep up with my mods. Maybe in the distant future I could get around to it.

You should create a thread on this mod and reporting the bug. If more players are commenting above us, this bug will be hidden and forgotten. Better keeping a trace about it for the devmodder :d

This is a bug with Rimtheme, switch back to vanilla theme and it will work again.
When you've done with the pod, you can change the theme back

i do have hair mods and humanoid alien races installed, but this is a human colonist and should be fine so idk whats going on, regardless thought i would report back

@Dr. Mrs. The Monarch They get a tiny bonus for the day, because who doesn't enjoy a good hair cut. But it's so small it wouldn't really effect game play.

@Natalo77 Nothing I can think of as a hard no. Mods that add new races though Humanoid Alien Races can throw some wrenches. Skin color won’t work for them since HAR uses two colors for skin. Body type usually doesn’t work since people rarely ever make textures for every sex / body type combo. Some races even do tails, wings, and such that my mod can’t alter. I put a lot of error catching in so if you do load a non compatible race into the pod it will just disable some features, and maybe throw a couple small errors if you’re in dev mode. It should never break any games though.

Side note: I'm a bit wordy so I hit the 1000 character limit, but @Rainbeau Flambe I thought your post was hilarious. While it is apt advertisement, I have at least 3 more mods I plan to publish under the PS name. "Full Body Modification Pod" might be more appropriate for something down the line...

You are both making good point and I love your interest in my mod. But here is my thought process: The intent of this mod is to allow customization of hair. Once PS Core was posted with the feature to alter body, I started getting asked about hair, as I expected to, but was surprised people wanted to change face. When I went to add that I happened upon skin tone, so why not throw that in too? I wasn't going to include body type, but then I realized A) Body type is purely cosmetic, so changing it has no real in game effect B) I had an extra slot in my UI I needed to fill.

So, has this mod gone past it's "We do hair" advertising? Yes, but it does do hair as promised. Everything else is just extra features that in no way alter game play and are there for those who want them. I don't see the value in removing features. I could see renaming it, but (so far) 700+ people have subscribed and I don't want to confuse them with a rename, and quite frankly, I really like the name Barber Pod.

Personally, as I sort of indirectly suggested with my previous post, I think it probably makes more sense just to rename the mod than to limit what it does.

@hashimoto4life Thank you! It should be fine to add to new or existing saves. You can even remove it from a save and only get one small error.

@ VirtualGaming Honestly ya, I didn't really plan for this mod to do body as well. The Plasteel Surgery mods are all about customizing your pawns in game, but hair and face had to many options to clog up the surgery bills so I had to make a UI. Once that was done it felt weird to not add an option for body.

The concept of this mod is great! I will try it out now (fingers crossed that it doesn't corrupy my save).
