if only we could just add foxes to the base set of trovian bases and allow lancers to be other stuff because the fox does not fit a lot of the hats or faces,
also why cant we also be headless? why revenant only? would be cool to be a possessed armor knight

Or perhaps that was just an intentional choice so it could work with the Marauding Maw mask style, like specified in the screenshot?

If the clipping muzzle(the mouth) is the issue, then you would be better of doing the glitch by giving the ll any head from other classes
