@RMazer, well... I've added some images in 16x9 and 2x1 aspect ratios. Hope they'll fit your build well! And sorry for taking so long.

Thanks thats awesome! Really appreciate it

@RMazer, you’re welcome! I’m glad that this mod is useful not only to me! Unfortunately I will be away a bit more than two days, so I will add Lawrence of Arabia in a week tops. Sorry about that. But the good news is that I’ve found source files in my backup cloud so I will just update this mod.

ya totaly thanks so much for responding!

@RMazer, awwww! That would be a great addition! I don't have access to my old PC at the moment, so I can't update this mod, but I can make a new one in a day or two. If this is okay for you.

That solved my problem! Thank you!

@WiseWoof thanks! ))

To make your image properly lightened you need to create an alpha channel that will be used as brightness map, where black is the brightest and white is the darkest. The most simple way to do so is to
- copy entire image with all RGB channels selected,
- create blank alpha channel and paste it there,
- invert this newly created channel.
After that export your dds file as usual.

Hope this will help! Good luck!

I like the mod. The images look really good. I've been trying to create my own with some custom images for the server I play on. Problem is all my images are dark in game. How do you encode your images so they retain their brightness?

@Drayer Wow! That's awesome!

I'm done this using script to mirror LCDs alongside custom code to hold the frame. you do however need an lcd loaded with the image in monospace
gar_krol  [author] 23 Feb, 2019 @ 6:27am
Yeah. I understand, but it seems to be impossible.
azfalt 23 Feb, 2019 @ 5:57am
thats just shuffeling thrugh actually lcd images... im typing about one single animated image file.
gar_krol  [author] 23 Feb, 2019 @ 4:08am
@azfalt There is a way to make short animations in SE. You can add several images to the LCD and set no delay for displaying them. Every added image will be displayed as frame in animation. But it would be hard to navigate through the image collection though.
azfalt 22 Feb, 2019 @ 10:12pm
you think it would be possibe to create an animated gif, and simply rename it to a format that SE recognise as a picture, but will be an animation instead?

I know it worked with old time html web pages, Simply renamed from picture.gif to picture.jpg made the jpg animated... fun times in the old days.

thinking actually "movie clip", need a sound file aswell to be played from a speaker, hopefully somewhat synced.

could be fun if a workaround like this is possible in SE.

@Luigi05 Yeah, you got me. They are just still pictures and not moving at all. I thought 20 pictures per LCD limitation doesn't worth the effort to make short repetative flicks. But some images of memorable moments could add some cozy feeling that your engineer got some good old movies on his/her displays. I'm glad that you like it!

Movies only show pictures. Still good work, THX!
