Since I don't think anyone will have a problem with that, I won't bother looking into it. It does the job well for it was made to do anyway :)
I wonder if the tech tree changed since I made this mod? I'm pretty confident that when I made the mod originally, the research starts with the hiver skele legs, as I was looking directly at the research progression in the Forgotten Construction Set to verify this.
Because of this, I felt it made sense to have the container's research option available once the first possible crafting limb was researched since that's really the only time it would have any benefit of use.
The whole point of this limb storage is so that, like other specialized crafting storage in vanilla, it can be a dedicated place for crafted limbs to be placed automatically by the crafter from after completion on the workbench. Otherwise, I figure any general storage container can be just as useful if not better for storing limbs found exploring or bought from stores in the game.
Fortunately, I still had the same research bench even though I'd moved to a proper base by now, so I was able to test. Seems to work fine, the storage research appeared okay as well. So yeah, must've just been something weird.
Actually, I did do an import to fix a couple of broken towns, so I guess that might've fixed whatever was causing the problem with your mod as well.
The last thing I can think is for you to try testing a new game with all mods disabled except this one and use the in game editor to cheat in buildings, resources, etc, to try to reproduce the issue clean. However, I understand even doing that is a bunch of work for you, and just for this simple mod. I apologize won't be able to troubleshoot further for you.
Thanks for the reply, thanks for this mod!
I'm not sure if I'll make a container just for repair kits. If I do, I don't think it will be any time soon because life is such a time sink lately.
