SHEEP! Big soft fluffy non-violent lambs for the slaughter! Oh, to see the flocks on a thousand hills... Mutton and wool, lanolin and companionship... We need our sheeps! And maybe an NPC Shepherd or two to herd the sheeps into the Sheepfold.

I know you have moved on to other games, but would you please consider coming back to ME 0.7.4 and reprising your mods? Even if you don't want to make any new ones, just making what you've already contributed current would be hugely appreciated.

Although I do know how to program in C#, my skills are rather limited to business and web applications...
Too bad this won't see an update soon, not having to spend huge amounts of flax on strings was really helpful.

If anyone knows C# and liked this mod, they can simply ask him for the Blender files and then they get to coding. Then when they're finished, something happens. Do they release it on the workshop, or give STORI3D the files of the new version?

If you have both cows & sheep mods loaded, you have about a 1 in 3 chance of getting any one of the 3: sheep, deer, or cows. The game randomizes what comes out, and sometimes doesn’t do it that well.

Does sheep or cows effect deer generation? I don't seem to be seeing any deer whatsoever now.

Interesting. Well at any rate, since it's much easier to get close enough to a sheep to shoot it than it is to a deer, I guess it's ok for it to take a few extra seconds to collect the hide. Otherwise collecting hide becomes completely trivial.

AFAIK, buck's inventory is available, but it's hovering about a meter up above the body itself. But sheep don't have inventory nor on their body, neither above it.

Yes I had that problem sheep ran away from me up a hill, did backflip and landed at my feet . It made me jump as this was the frist sheep I had seen. got the loot bag so no worries. lol.

The dead-animal inventory problem is a vanilla bug. The sheep are behaving like dead bucks (male deer) for some reason. With both, it's not possible to access the inventory until the animal decays. (Only the female deer can be accessed.) I think it has to do with the bounding box or collision box. Hopefully it's something the devs will be able to fix in their next big update.

Can you please make so that dead sheeps have inventory to take hide and meat, same like deers? Currently we have to wait until corpse decay in order to take it.

No. Unfortunately so far the best minds of M.E. scripters have tried to find ways to connect ropes to bots & animals and they say it can't be done. I wish! Because I agree, being able to lasso animals would be a brilliant addition.

Is there any possible way to be able to Use a rope to "lasso" then if you get with in range before they run away?

Yes, SPP and SigVI, that would be really good. To be able to have happen it could put it in a higher class of game. Also give it a big leap in people wanting to join and make it a stronger community.

Heya Sig VI. I would love all of that. Unfortunately right now none of that is accessible. There is a lot of hard-coded stuff in the AI that is walled off from modders and scripters. There's hope that starting in 0.7 we'll have a whole new playing field. Because I would love all of that. I've been talking with devs and scripters about tying animal behavior to voxels too. Cows attracted to grassy meadows, chickens (for example) only being able to lay eggs if they're in a pen with hay/old grass on the ground. A lot to look forward to. Hopefully!

Do you have any access to the navigation points the animals move toward? Maybe just adjusting the range of values? Would it be possible to have a block (feeding trough) that causes any sheep in the area to tend to move toward it?

Hey Haggis, thanks much for the notes. Equinox Core will be added automatically, it’s a great new feature of Steam Workshop — you don’t have to add any dependent mods, the game will do it all by itself.

Has anyone brought this to Keen's attention? I've been saying ME needs livestock. Now all we need are chickens, horses, pigs, rabbits, a family dog and varied wild predators and birds.
