UPDATE: Kind of doing a massive batch of updates, so please see here for information: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/discussions/18446744073709551615/1681441347871087327/?appid=446800

UPDATE: Fixes to the mesh and textures so the file is generally smaller and will look a bit nicer - particularly the reflection on surfaces like the boiler.

Also new smoke emitters - If you're already running these engines in game, just send them to a depot and back out again to activate the new smoke emitters.

UPDATE: Quick quality control pass; cleaning up the folder, using dds files to reduce file size and making some minor model changes.

UPDATE: I've just made some minor adjustments to weight and tractive effort to bring it in line with some well-sourced values I've discovered. Top speed has also been adjusted slightly - partially to help increase differentiation between the G, D2 and B1 locomotives, while also trying to keep gameplay and balance in relation to other mods.

I used the PLAN/33000 formula which allows to fairly easily estimate the power curve of a locomotive. For something made in 1875 of the size of this locomotive it is quite sensible. 50kN of a single powered axle with ~15 tons of adhesive weight is possible currently, with advanced creep controls :) In the year 1875 getting half of that would be exceptional :)

Mods I use ( mostly old prussian locomotives ) give me locomotives with 300kW and 60km/h speed much earlier.

That being said - please at least consider adding 20 tons for the tender.

@uzurpatorex: Thanks for the suggestion - I ran the numbers in-game and unfortunately those sorts of figures just don't interact all that well with other engines, both modded and vanilla. For one, it causes a enormous cost blowout that makes these engines pretty unviable for their time compared to other engines, so this is one of those situations where gameplay balance becomes a factor.

I do agree that the current stats need some tweaking - I've been doing some research this morning on other singles and gathering a ballpark figure, so I'll be adjusting the overall stats of this and the D2 later today once I have a clearer idea of what's reasonable for their capabilities to be, both from a historic context, but also a gameplay one.

I made some back-of-napkin calculations based on the historical data. This locomotive should have 300-400kW of power and 20-25kN of tractive effort. You also should add approx 25-30 tons of tender to it.

Thanks, really nice models.
