@Sac thanks! And the single string problem is something paradox caused in the base game and never fixed, but someone else has a mod that fixes that. I've asked them if I can use it, but I'm still waiting on a response. Thanks again!

@theirishturtle yes absolutely, but please be aware that I haven't updated it in almost 2 years and it's very likely to be bugged. You might want to take a look at some of the relevant files to see if they need changes. I've had reports of problems from a couple people where the whole list of gods gets used as a single string, which means there might've been a stray comma added or removed somewhere.

@Ephemeral @sheldonvaughan I had the same issue. If you open your uncompressed save in a text editor, you can search god_names, and it should take you to the long, unseperated string of names. From there just add spaces between the names and it'll fix it.

@BrigadierBill I think Hades gets a bad rep, he just drew the short stick when him, Zeus, and Poseidon were choosing which realm to rule, but does he complain, No, all he ever asked for was a wife, he got her and she's only there half the time, but he doesn't complain, Hades is a good dude, does his job

Yeah having evil gods really doesn't work unless you're just looking at it from a state perspective in which case really on Bacchus/Dionysus works since his worship was heavily legislated by the Roman state. I mean if you want to reach it would make more sense to put Jesus, Constantine, and Justinian as evil deities, since you're reforming AFTER what happened to the pagans in the old Empire.

I feel like Ares makes more sense as one of the evil gods, considering the Greeks (though definitely not the Romans) villified him. Hades and Hermes I'm divided on, since they're clearly connected to the underworld but aren't evil per-se (just about every other in-game religion's gods of the dead are evil).

It's sad, cause in the actual Mythology, Hades is the least evil god. Seriously, (except for that one time he took Persephone) he usually doesn't mess with anyone. Plus, he isn' the god of death, he's the god of the dead. He's also Zeus and Poseiden's older brother. (He's a very chill god)

Poor Hades, always getting screwed... Dyonisius as an evil god in his form of Zalmoxis or his character as the mysteric soul carrier, that's a good call. And as scripture... why not Hesiod's Theogony, or in the case of the Romans, Ovid's Metamorphosis?

Currently, in my game, the gods names are all one long string. So when it says "For Hermes!" or something it actually says "For HadesKronosDionysusHermes!"

Hermes shouldn't be an Evil god.
He was a friend to humankind and was known in some mythos as the Trickster god for playing jokes on other gods for his own satisfaction and to the benefit of humankind.

I think the best representation of Hellenic gods and evil gods would be the Primairy Olympians with the more well known and positive minor gods and the Titans with Hades respectivlly.

@blasterdark1 No, it has to modify an event file so unfortunately it isn't compatible with ironman achievements.

Is it Ironman compatibles?
