If only one could make this a set, specific to only some Civilisations...
Representing merely a military camp, a forward base perhaps, of a more advanced Nation; while other peoples at the time really just lived in dirt houses.

I feel like this would be most fitting for Chinese and Byzantines, as they didn't really have a dark Age at that point. ...I wonder if this could work in the same manner that IA does... if only....

The palisades are seperate as stated in my original comment below, which surprisingly got pushed a few pages back.
