Sliders fix two objects in rotation, but allow them to move back and forth. That is, they can slide toward and away from each other.

Tools labeled smart in Garry's Mod usually involve selecting the props and right clicking to apply, such as smart weld and smart nocollide.

I'm not really sure it ought to be called "Smart slider" as it only does one thing with no options, but its still very interesting.
