It's kinda hard fer me to explain it. So les give an example.

Here is your Baby Face's Blaster. And in Gamebanana there's a Specific remodel that overwrites this gun. A hex makes you have that remodel and the Baby face's Blaster at the same time.

It's mainly used for jus Gmod and SFM. That's why there's a lot of em.

What even is a hex and what does it mean? I see millions of em everywhere and none of them explain what a hex even IS, it's like knowing how to breathe, you('re expected to) know how to do it automatically.
