There are three different versions for the Deagle. The Mil.Sniper version does not have a built-in HUD icon, and if there's a script (I don't remember) the game must be restarted at least once (and played oflline/local host)

The version for the Deagle in the link doesnt have a scope, by the way can you help me with the military sniper version? It only loads the model and the HUD the script doesnt work.

Correct. While i dont have any CWL mods, I could look into which is messing with the mod, but I dont think any of what I have should conflict

You mean it doesn't travel with you onto next map? Strange. What arsenal altering mods you might be using? Maybe Custom Weapon Lab or some vscripts

Oh sorry i meant by equipped as in like, found in world and selected again. Like I'd have to find the gun in the next level to have it again. I found the same with another mod that turns a primary into a secondary. Is that game logic confliction as well?

It's probably game logic conflicting. A similar thing happens if you get incapacitated - the weapon won't be autoselected, but you can do so manually.

Sorry if I missed something but I was playing around and found that when having this weapon equipped and loading into the next level, it disappears unless equipped again. Any idea what could be the issue? It shouldn't be conflicting with any other mods I have. Great mod tho! Love having more secondary weapon choices :steamthumbsup:!

The militry sniper version has a separate optional script iirc. Removing the script on the Scout version would render it a very slow firing weapon that makes very little sense.

I would also recommend you learning how to remove, or potentially edit , the script yourself.

thanks, the HL2 weapon pack didnt have any replacement for the scout and since the revolver is a colt python, this goes very well.

Well, you see, if the server isn't enforcing consistency, you will be able to play with this mod, just with the server's script (which in most cases will be the default one). It will show up as a simple reskin of the slow bolt-action sniper rifle this way. You cannot have it as a secondary unless the host/server also has this mod.

You cannot join a soccer match with a basketball. You will be playing by the server's rules, not yours.

and yeah, i just seemed to miss the desc, because my friends hurried me to play, and also about my ability to play online, i used it to play online campaign with my friends, and they dont require to download specifically this mod

I agree with @Alex_D #NoWar, L4D2 seems to lack of secondary weapon, therefore making a useless sniper more unique and fun to play.

What you have missed is the description of this mod. Which means you scrolled all the way past it to ask the questions here.

That being said, this mod was made back when CSS weapons basically required a script file to work, so I heavily edited it into a secondary weapon to make it more unique.

Did, and tried it a couple of more times, and I didn't have any more script mods that should've conflicted with it.

Honestly, its been half a month, but I still really really like this mod so I'll probably troubleshoot in my own time to make it work with my modpack. We'll see.

I've dissected the mod and it only replaces the three SMG script files. So no, it has no conflicting files with this one.

So the only feasible explanation I can get is "you did not restart the game after downloading this mod" which honestly solves 99% of issues.

Was playing in Local, and this was my only Scout addon. Although, yeah, I had another mod that made the SMGs secondaries, and they didn't work together. A damn shame, but, still, a good mod.

Make absolutely 146% sure that you do not have any other script addons or Scout addons, and that you have restarted the game before trying this out. Also, I hope I don't have to remind you this is offline/local only.

The script for this is broken for me. Its still a primary, sadly. Not sure if its incompatible for other mods that do similar, IE making the SMGs secondaries, but a damn shame.

Even though it might not make sense for the gun (the barrel has only 6 slots), could you possibly make a version that's just a scout reskin? I'd love to use this, but I don't like the idea of it being a secondary, or having changed stats.

Wait, there's actually a revolver in the game that can scope in? I've never seen it. I mean, even if this replaces a sniper rifle, this is a secondary weapon and has 6 bullets from what I see in the video. Confusing.

In the script file, "bucket" is the slot number. 0 is primary, 1 is secondary, and so on.

You also need to change weapon type to "pistol" and tier to 0.

Unless Lt. Rocky already have removed the script from his mod, a script mod would conflict with it.
