Report a translation problem
I was investigating some stuff that was reported and ended up looking into the mod, I've noticed that you've included some constants that you don't really use or touch in the constants mixin - but by including them you actually "run them over" any changes to these constants that other mods could possibly have made... so I wanted to suggest that maybe - if possible - it could be nice to not include these constants in the mixinto so tweaks made by ACE won't be overriden back to vanilla values! :D
Other than that, very helpful mod!
I encountered a little problem using this mod, whenever the hearthlings restock an oven with fuel, they take too much fuel with them, resulting in the remaining fuel to be left in front of the oven. Because the items are left in front of the oven they have a small chance to become unable to use the oven, and will never clean up the fuel in front of it, even when there is enough space in storage.
Could you take a look if you can reproduce this?
Many thanks!

Updated!
Thanks!
I believe I can do that. I will upload a file shortly. (waiting on a new usb wifi). I don't have any mods that increase the size again so I have no reference as to how large to make the max. So I will make the max size....100?
Backpack size is allready at max, meaning other mods that add weareble backpacks, or classes as the miner.
This brings backpack size over the maximum.
Is it possible to make the max backpack size larger as well.?

Your most welcome. I was just annoyed that I had to restart the game for me to enjoy this mod, then I thought I will embark, that's a new game right? well, that turned out wrong and all the people from my old town still carried 3 while the new ones carried 10. Then I though about why new ones do carry 10 and the old ones don't. So I said F*k it and I tried changing their class and poof, like magic they carried 10.
Seems silly to not post my findings to everyone that tries to enjoy this mod and it's developer.
Thank you so much for tracking down a workaround! In theory it sounds easy enough to "reload" Hearthlings jobs when loading a save. I will see if I can figure it out. In the mean time, you are the hero!
Thanks again!
I did more testing and I found a way around the problem (until you maybe find a fix for it) that anybody can do:
if you have a game going and install this mod then you notice that they still carry 3 items, these can be workers or crafters. To fix this make all your crafters into workers (don't worry they retain their level in their craft) then change them back to their craft. they will now carry more items. You can do the same with workers, just change them to something, like a footman or something and change them back to crafters and they too will now carry more.
it seems that their "worker code" needs to be re-assigned in an ongoing game. this fixed it for me.
I have just come to the same conclusion. If you start the game without Backpacks enabled, save, enable, and load that game the CURRENT Hearthlings will only carry the original amount. However, any new Hearthlings will carry 10 items. I do not know that there IS a solution to that, those Hearthlings were created with a different set of rules(?)
I have never encountered that exact scenario, so I thank you for bringing it to my attention. I will edit my post, amend a previous comment where I said it would work on a save, and continue looking for a solution or workaround.
because before I had your mod then ace.
then deleted you mod because it didn't work.
now I installed it again with ace still installed and with a new game it works, with an old save it doesn't..
I then (after a few other tests) tried to start a new game with your mod and ACE and low and behold, they started carrying more stuff.
Now I don't know if there is still a problem somewhere about activating this with active save, but for now it seems that a warning is needed that this mod only works with a new game.
This is odd. I have disabled every mod except ACE and the workshop version of backpacks. Here is a screenshot of a new game with only those mods. (ok i couldn't attach a screenshot to this response, so I added it to the screenshots in the description) It is the 4th picture and shows Ursella Framer carrying 9 things in her pack and a basket of berries in her hand. When I tried to spawn a restocker golem the game crashed and I haven't got around to trying the ACE workers backpacks and such. Just saw your reply and wanted to let you know I'm working the problem now! Thanks again!
without your mod and without ACE the workers can carry 3 things.
without your mod but with ACE they can still carry 3 things.
with your mod and with ACE they still carry 3 things.
I have not tried your mod without ACE because that would ruin my save.
With both mods ON, I do not get any errors so I can not help you find the problem.
Hope you can fix it because with a forest cut down and my workers only taking 3 items it takes forever from them to clear it all.
I must be using a different version on my pc. Thanks for letting me know! I will look into it today!
Yes my mod broke the SuperX mod because of irresponsible coding
I assume it has something to do with how this mod changes the backpack size.
Yes it is.
@420 - 306er
I am not having that issue any more than the original game. All this mod does is increase the number of items a backpack can hold. It does not instruct the AI to act any different way.
I think so!

Thanks you
