I don't know. The problem was never with the event itself, but with the game not storing character flags properly for characters not controlled by a human player. So it's hard to say without testing.

The game will automatically give initiation rite bonuses to some characters at start too. So it's only after 20 years after the game has started that you can be sure rite bonuses are being applied by the event.

Has this been fixed? I'm positive to have seen the inititation rite bonus modifiers on AI characters.

Ah, that must be an oversight. Thank you for pointing it out.

The mod reads "animism fix 1.1" in the ck2 launcher when subscribed & downloaded.

Sure, just put my name in the credits somewhere.

Hello! Can I use your mod in the Community Patch?
Dragatus  [author] 14 Dec, 2019 @ 11:41am
I'm not using the Community Patch, so I never got to look at what files it changes, but there is a fair chance it will change the same file that I changed for this fix. If you're unsure, I would recommend picking the patch over this fix as it solves more problems.

You don't know? Yeah that mod changes way too much stuff for my liking.
Dragatus  [author] 13 Dec, 2019 @ 1:47am
They might be incompatible, but my mod is included in this mod that attempts to merge the community patch with several other mods: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1928000432 .

When I run the Paradoxos Mod Mananger tool it says this mod conflicts with the Community Patch mod. Are they compatible or no?

I tested and Animstic doctrine is still broken. I updated the mod to bring it in line with the last two PDX patches.

Ah, good to know. Thanks for pointing it out.
Whizzer 22 May, 2019 @ 3:58am
No, but the file you've modified as been changed in the recent patches, both 3.1.0 and 3.1.1.
Dragatus  [author] 22 May, 2019 @ 3:45am
I haven't seen anything in the patch notes either. By "out of date" you mean the game labels it as outdated?
Whizzer 22 May, 2019 @ 1:43am
Was this fixed in patch 3.1.1 or earlier? I can't find any mention of it in the changelogs, but this fix is now sadly out of date.

Sure, just list me in the credits.

Hey I plan on making one big mod by combining all my little mods. Is it ok if I add this as well?
Dragatus  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 11:27pm
I edited the description to make it more clear what is going on and what the mod does.
Dragatus  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 9:33pm
I guess the description is unclear. What I meant is that an AI character that chooses to get a right will always get the 10 year version despite potentially choosing the 5 year or 20 year one. But the AI characters still have a chance to decide not to go thrugh a rite.

Giving them gold increase the chance they'll go through a rite. 100 should be plenty.
raguel 9 Dec, 2018 @ 9:07pm
I guess I misunderstood how this mod worked. I thought everyone selected the 10 years regardles of the other factors. Should I still give important children gold then?
Dragatus  [author] 9 Dec, 2018 @ 8:10pm
Not all characters will go through rites. Some will chose not to do so, especially if they're Cynical or Greedy. It also depends on how much money they have.

This mod has worked great with one odd exception: one of my kinsman (was my son's heir, now my heir) did not go through the rite. I did give him African artifacts as he turned 16 so that may have interfered with the rites. Everyone else I checked has a rite bonus.
