The best way IMO is to use simple Digital display with one decimal. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the heads up!
Thank you! Sure thing you can! Should warn you about possible reset of your values after loading your save. See 4-5 comments below. Maybe Devs already fixed that.
Just gotta double check, can I use this in my vehicles?
Sure! And thanks for your interest in this microcontroller.
Good luck with your collab project!
Hi and thanks for your comment!
I've checked some of my own saves and you're right: game does not save values anymore for some reason. It also shows in other microcontrollers, including Lua scripted ones. I guess this is related to previous updates.
Thanks! I've made several runs with both microcontrollers onboard. It seems that new calculations are somehow divided by two. Quick fix is already uploaded, but still, any further data is always welcomed! Thank you!
Thank you for your note! This is pretty fascinating, since calculation methods are kept the same as in old version.
I'm not familiar with map generation algorythms. Does it spawn railroads always the same way, with Arctic and Southern One Island always on same positions?
This weekend, I'll try to make several observations with old and new odometers, but if you eventually get some more data about it, could you post it here, please?
Now you can zero all the distance you've passed if needed.
Unfortunately, I had to expand the size of MC, now it is 3x1. This huge change will require your attention, if you've already placed it to your existing vehicles. Make sure to check all the logical contacts, since they may disappear.
I had several ideas to make resetting possible, even without any buttons and extra pins, but those solutions would require much more actions from the user to set the microcontroller up. This fact stands against the idea of simple use. Now, with cost of re-installing, reset is functioning. This means you can perform even more tasks from now on.
I've tested the updated device many times, but still cannot be sure it is completely de-bugged. I still wait for your feedback and further ideas.
Thank you, have fun!
Unfortunately not, it is designet to serve just as usual odometer in any car for registering the total mileage.
Microcontroller was updated, now it contains a new feature.
As you know, active blocks lose their values after vehicle gets re-spawned.
Now you can input distance value you've traveled during your previous journeys straight to the Odometer in Selection menu of the Editor. This way, mileage goes on counting! See last screenshot.
Now it has a selection field for output units:
- Kilometers (by default)
- Meters
- Nautical miles
Simply click on controller in selection mode and pick one You like! Best wishes!
