@Miro

Sorry you're also having that issue. I wish I knew exactly what fixed it for the other poster but I'm afraid I don't know what causes it.
Miro 13 Oct, 2024 @ 5:07pm
Hello everyone, not sure if this thread it's still monitored or not :) But I have the same issue that was reported here at the very beginning of the thread, i.e. the font doesn't work in some parts of the text such as the events, it's just old vanilla font there. Here's the screenshot:
https://i.imgur.com/xu5qTdY.jpeg

I tried to uninstall it (both by unsubscribing here and removing the mod files from My Documents folder) and installing it again, but the issue still remains. There is no such problem with the other font replacers from the Workshop.

And thanks for the mod, probably the best font replacer for CK2 out there.

I'm playing on a 4k laptop, and the fonts work well. A Bigger Interface doesn't work at all at 2x interface size.

@hankmorgan1

Test it and find out I guess.
hankmorgan1 4 Aug, 2023 @ 5:49am
Is this mod compatible with winter king mod?
༒kuolleempi༒ 26 Aug, 2022 @ 12:44pm
alright, thank you.

@m∞nflower

As it says in the description: "if you don't use that mod you can replace the "ledger.ui" file in the "Font Overhaul/Interface" folder of this mod's zip file with the replacement you'll find in there"
༒kuolleempi༒ 25 Aug, 2022 @ 5:51pm
do I really need the bigger interface ?
LNX 2 Feb, 2022 @ 2:49pm
Can confirm Scott's finding that for LINUX one has to edit "font overhaul.mod.mod" to read like archive="mod/font overhaul.zip

Fixes my font issues for 4k monitors. Works for me as of 2021-09-27
dualhammers 20 Aug, 2020 @ 6:27pm
Crashes the game
ThePhazer 28 May, 2020 @ 4:33am

Kaiji  [author] 18 Apr, 2020 @ 5:24am
@nordr

Not sure why that might be. Try restarting Steam?
toilettheory 17 Apr, 2020 @ 12:32pm
This mod isn't showing up after I subscribe. Any ideas? I have Bigger Interface.
moadib 30 Mar, 2020 @ 9:05am
@Scott thanks!
Kaiji  [author] 9 Mar, 2020 @ 10:58am
@Scott

Sorry, I have no idea why there's a slight colour difference in the tooltip text. I didn't change it myself. :\
Scott 8 Mar, 2020 @ 2:22pm
Is there a reason why the first screenshot's tooltip has orange text where the 3rd screenshot has yellow? Is it possible to have the large tooltips from the first screenshot but with the yellow color unchanged?
Scott 8 Mar, 2020 @ 12:51pm
Nevermind! I found the problem.

The Steam Workshop downloaded two files, "font overhaul.mod.mod" and "font overhaul.zip". The problem is that the former contains the line `archive="mod/Font Overhaul.zip"` but on Linux I need to change that to `archive="mod/font overhaul.zip"` because file systems are almost always case-sensitive on Linux (unlike WIndows, which is almost always case-insensitive). With that change it works perfectly.

Thanks for the mod.
Scott 8 Mar, 2020 @ 11:23am
I installed this mod and Bigger Interface but this mod simply had no effect - does it need an update? I've noticed that a lot of the other font mods needed updates recently for some reason.
Mutaracha 12 Nov, 2019 @ 10:18am
So i added Kaiji and the solution we found is to select 1600x900 resolution. As i have a 2K resolution monitor, i'm also using this mod along with the bigger interface mod.

Thanks!
Kaiji  [author] 12 Nov, 2019 @ 8:14am
@Mutachara You could try Windows built in scaling, which CK2 respects (type "scaling" on start menu). The only issue is that you'd have to turn it off and on whenever you want to play.
Mutaracha 12 Nov, 2019 @ 7:49am
@Kaiji Yeah, the only mod i found for playing in 2K resolution was "scale_ui" but it forces you to install a program first...
Kaiji  [author] 12 Nov, 2019 @ 6:37am
@Mutachara Yeah it's not ideal. Modding the icons to be bigger might be theoretically possible but I think it's out of the scope of what most modders would want to take on.
Mutaracha 12 Nov, 2019 @ 4:23am
@Kaiji but at the moment it is on experimental and it loses quality of the text if you increase the scaling >_<
Kaiji  [author] 10 Nov, 2019 @ 9:56am
@Mutaracha

Pretty sure there's a UI scaling option if you look in the game's settings.
Mutaracha 9 Nov, 2019 @ 6:10pm
Thx for the mod. We need bigger icons too, is that possible?
xiamenda 4 Oct, 2019 @ 5:37pm
The link of CK2 Arial Font is disabled. Could you fix it? Thanks
Frostwave 13 Sep, 2019 @ 9:56pm
This is the first mod that finally fixes the blurry fonts for this game. Paradox and myself owe you a debt of gratitude.
Kaiji  [author] 16 Aug, 2019 @ 12:23pm
@Double Quarter Pounder w/ cheese

Haha, yup. Had a lot of fun there until they banned me for making a thread asking people to speculate how many weekly blogs they'd make before the game finally releases. :D
Double Quarter Pounder w/ cheese 15 Aug, 2019 @ 7:50pm
Holy crap, I was just going through this bc I just started CK2 and the font hurts my eyes and I realized you're that guy from the Bannerlord forums a couple years ago. Small world huh
Kaiji  [author] 1 Jun, 2019 @ 7:13am
@Falrinth

It works fine for me. Maybe another mod is affecting the tooltip font?
Falrinth 29 May, 2019 @ 11:48pm
Cant edit my previous comment: Removing the tooltip.gui wont give me what you mentioned in description (smaller tooltip). It just glitches the tooltip font so it becomes filled with artifacts.
Falrinth 29 May, 2019 @ 11:47pm
Fixed font being to small and hard to read, but it goes over the board in opposite direction... Some tooltips now are hard to read cause they are covering over half of the screen with all the prerequisites listed with this slightly to large font...
Nukkxx 30 Mar, 2019 @ 9:22am
Great mod, works perfect ! Thanks man !
... 18 Mar, 2019 @ 10:27am
Works like a Charm , Thank you
Kaiji  [author] 17 Feb, 2019 @ 1:26pm
@jersey07

The only other thing I can think of is uninstalling the game and deleting the game and mod folders then reinstalling.

I wish I could help you more because I know it would drive me nuts, but I've gone over all the mod's files and I can't find anything that would cause it not to work.
JTango 17 Feb, 2019 @ 12:26pm
Hi Kaiji. I wish I could blame another mod. Seems like I and 'thegrandtantula' have the same problem. Thanks for replying!
Kaiji  [author] 17 Feb, 2019 @ 9:16am
@jersey07

Does it work if you make this the only enabled mod? If so, then another mod is clashing with it.

If not, I'm not sure what the problem could be.
JTango 17 Feb, 2019 @ 8:01am
Not working for me. I unsubscribed to both this and bigger interface, applied the bigger interface fix suggested (deleting biggerinterface.zip from Steam\userdata\########\ugc\referenced\##################\mod)
resubscribed to both and enabled, and the font's have not changed. CKII ver 3.0.1.1, Windows 10 ver 1809
Kaiji  [author] 15 Feb, 2019 @ 1:26pm
@OLD

I don't know, sorry. :(

@Kreon91 [GER]

No idea. Should be easy to find out. :)
Kreon91 [GER] 15 Feb, 2019 @ 1:10pm
Does it work with game of thrones?
Glebowsky 3 Feb, 2019 @ 5:21am
Oh, sorry, did not notice since I used to play on Russian language and we have the roboto font looks like this: https://i.imgur.com/2t2XLSq.png and https://i.imgur.com/OVtxTjb.png

Is it possible to add such Latin fonts?
Kaiji  [author] 2 Feb, 2019 @ 11:57am
@OLD

This is a Roboto font for CK2.

If you mean EU4, there's a link to the EU4 Roboto mod in the description. ;)
Glebowsky 2 Feb, 2019 @ 10:29am
Hey, can You make a Roboto font for CKII please?
Kaiji  [author] 27 Jan, 2019 @ 5:29am
@thegrandtantula

It sounds like something has become corrupted. Try uninstalling the game, deleting "/users/%yourname%/Documents/Paradox/CK2" and reinstalling. Backup your saves beforehand.
thegrandtantula 26 Jan, 2019 @ 6:37pm
I'am currently running with no mods and still I have the same issue. If it is not the mod do you have any ideas on what it could be?
Kaiji  [author] 24 Jan, 2019 @ 2:52pm
@thegrandtantula

"I have turned the mod off but the text has not changed"

Then this mod isn't causing the problem. It can't change anything unless it's running and it doesn't change anything permanently.

Try running the game with no mods at all. If that fixes it then it's a conflict with another mod.

Also, I deleted your comment by accident. Sorry about that!
Kaiji  [author] 13 Jan, 2019 @ 6:28am
@Dadi Gang

Glad you got it working. :)
Solace 12 Jan, 2019 @ 6:22pm
@Kaiji Nevermind, it works now for some reason. Thank you anyways!
Kaiji  [author] 12 Jan, 2019 @ 5:33pm
@Dadi Gang

Not sure why that would happen.

Try unsubscribing to this mod, deleting "font overhaul.zip" from your /users/%yourname%/Documents/Paradox/CK2/mod folder, and then re-subscribe to download it again.
