I've retextured the santa hat and saved over the targa files in both
SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\274920\1588398424\accesories and
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Mod\VP\PC_CustomData\Objects\accesories
But for some reason it still doesn't show up as the new colour? I'm very confused.

@M1KO, if you're referring to that kind of headset that streamers often wear on their heads and ears, complete with the microphone that's sticking out from one of the loudspeakers, there is one already - Fluffo's Headphones, which you can use on any of the 3D avatars.

To every one who has problems getting the Santa hat to appear in FaceRig: Reygar found the Santa hat in SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\274920\1588398424\accesories, then copied it to SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Mod\VP\PC_CustomData\Objects\accesories - this action fixed the problem and the Santa hat appeared in FaceRig.

i have tried other props as well and they do not show up in FaceRig

Can you subscribe to a prop here on the Workshop and see if it shows up in FaceRig?

I managed to find the folder with the christmas hat here: SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\274920\1588398424\accesories
i then copied said folder to here: SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Mod\VP\PC_CustomData\Objects\accesories
which then made it appear within the app.
I'm pretty sure this fix should work for everyone.

i do have an accessories folder with 3 hats that a friend has previously created for me.

Download a different prop from the Workshop, like the bunny ears. If it does not work with that prop either, it must be something on Steam's side. It should download and create that "accesories" folder in the PC_CustomData\Objects path. After that, download the Santa hat again.

the folder you mentioned is not there.

I have done all that said here and my facerig will not run in admin mode. but i did delete it and re sub as u said. is there use mods settings?

Followed all the instructions, but it's a still no go. The Christmas Hat prop is no wheres to be found.

I just tested this myself and I can say that everything worked flawlessly. Close FaceRig, unsubscribe from the prop, go to Steam\steamapps\common\FaceRig\Mod\VP\PC_CustomData\Objects\accesories and see if there's a christmasHat folder there. If it is delete it. Close the Steam client then subscribe again to the prop and launch the Steam client with administrator privileges.

I've subscribed to this item, but unfortunately it's not showing anywhere within my FaceRig. I have tried restarting Steam and Facerig (I've actually restarted my computer a couple of times too), unsubscribing and re-subscribing, but even after it apperantly downloads something, it nevers shows. Most any other item I subscribe to in the Workshop seems to work ok, but not this one. Bummer.

i subbed before even launching facerig, restarted steam and my pc. steam seems to have downloaded the file but i cannot find it anywhere in the folder. I usually don't have issues like this and if i do, I always go through the normal troubleshooting steps before complaining about it.

@vamp7r and @Reygar, can you give us more details? Have you restarted FaceRig after you've subscribed to the prop? I realize it's kind of a pointless question, but I'm trying to figure out what might be the cause.

I have reset my pc, I have subscribed and unsubscribed and resubcribed. Perphaps a manual download and manual instructions.
