Be the hero that converts this to genes. The legs could add movement speed, the regen could be removed as well remove gender restriction if the player decides.

Probably best to just forget about it if the owner doesn't let other people update for them.
Rimworld modders usually not interested making the same mod or same ideas as other existing mods, so yea you're out of luck.

Theres always the mod market if you got the $$ as an option.

I tried :( the owner of the mod refused to let them update it for him because he is just waiting for people to pay him to do it. Thats why I was wondering if you would be interested or if you may know someone who would be interested in creating another mod based on planet of the apes.

How hard is it to make race mods? There is a planet of the apes mod that has been out of date since forever. The creator has taken to basically saying he wont update until he is paid. I was wondering if you could make an apes race mode with say gorillas and chimp? Gorillas being much stronger than humans, chimps fairly stronger than humans. Possible unique weapons and armor for the two ? Not sure if its something your interested in or not but I know many people would love an apes race

I'm not finding anywhere at all, any explanation as to how to change the race of a character, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I understand that arachnids can regrow their limbs, but still dont get - if it bug or feature that I can't to augmentate arachnids with awesome mechanical arms and six legs.
With the mod "Prepare Carefully you can spawn "cybernetic" arachne

Are there any plans to give arachne a web sling ability that drains their stamina? Or arachne silk as an upper end fabric crafting material?

Is anyone aware of a medieval patch for this? I would love to use this race in my fantasy/medieval playthrough, but I think perhaps because they are considered a spacer or perhaps industrial race, they don't seem to show up.
Their weapons and armour show up in prepare carefully, however the race itself doesn't and nor do they seem to show up in-game.

- Removed AA_AcidBurn from ModdedDisease.xml because it does not exist anymore.

alright nvm quick tested, it doesnt cause problem with the regen like it used to so i just simply need to remove AA_AcidBurn from that list to remove the error. otherwise its harmless. i'll update in a bit

@Borzy: thanks for the report. i'll fix it in few days. AA_AcidBurn changed into VEF_AcidBurn it seem.

When used together with Alpha Animals causes error:
"Could not resolve cross-reference to Verse.HediffDef named AA_AcidBurn"
Related to fact that - AA_AcidBurn no longer exists in Alpha Animals.
Easy fix - comment line 21 in 1589454687\021Toolbox\Patches\ModdedDisease.xml

While I think they are slightly too tanky (given the fact that they raid with the same amount of raiders as human raids), I have more problem with the fact that they don't retreat and fight to the last one. A bit too difficult, IMO, combine with their already tanky nature.

spiders can be found in deserts but not snowy climates, how come the arachne is good in cold but not hot climates?

Up to you, it's your mod. I use the Children mod option so that all children born are instantly adult age, regardless of species (usually 18, except some are much older like Elder Things and Novakid).

In case you were thinking eggs, Harpies lay eggs but they don't turn into pawns.

maybe i should consider making baby texture(unless the mods force use their texture) for the "remake mod that noone knows when its coming".

Dylan's mod, "Children, School and Learning" works with arachne children perfectly. He even did a hediff inheritance update recently (you have to manually put them in, in-game, since it doesn't add everything possible) and my human+arachne couple produced a human child with arachne regen from his mother. I turned him into a swordsman.

But I came by to say "Did you see that 'So I'm a Spider, So What?' the light novel got turned into an anime recently?
